My name is JK Brown. I live in rural West Wales. This peaceful part of the country is known for being a precious habitat for its native wildlife, which is of constant inspiration to me. I can remember I have been drawing, making and creating as a way of celebrating the beauty of nature. Sometimes fly-tipped or washed up on beaches, I patiently reassemble these pieces into monuments to the natural world around me: a habitat that is becoming increasingly fra

I Create Giant Sculptures From Scrap Wood

I’m a Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Everyday I scavenge wood and other materials in my home city Copenhagen, and create different sculptures. I truly love working with scrap wood. There’s so much of it everywhere so I can pretty much build what ever I can imagine. I hope my sculptures will inspire others to recycle.

From that day on we’ve been designing different types of pendants,...

Ban Hun Lek, a metal workshop in Thailand, creates beautiful sculptures out of various bits of scrap metal. One of the most popular centerpieces of their collection is their fearsome Hulk statue, which has all the details down to his mutated musculature and ferocious snarl. Many of the studio’s other pieces, however, are also worth noticing. They seem to especially love re-creating characters from movies like Alien, Predator, and the Star Wars franchise.
