This Wild Squirrel Made A Nest For Her Baby In Her Rescuer’s Drawer And It’s Adorable

It’s really hard to turn away when you find an injured person or animal. Simone Serfontein from South Africa definitely knows this feeling. In October of 2016, she found a baby squirrel who fell out of a tree and her mother was nowhere to be found.

One day a man came back home, only to find that a mother squirrel had made a nest of twigs, dried pines and branches on his bed for her two newborn squirrels. Busy with fetching materials for the nest, mother squirrel had no intention of taking the babies with her. Eventually, she stopped coming back at all. Only one of the baby squirrels survived, but even her future was predicted to be grim.

I Shoot Squirrels With Tiny Musical Instruments Through My Kitchen Window

Some years ago, squirrels started to come in my garden. I decided to build an outside studio from my balcony and started to shoot photos from my kitchen window. This half year I worked on a children book, “Squirrel Teaching You The Alphabet”, and was confronted with some letters like an object starting with an “X”. That became a squirrel photo with a xylophone. From there I started doing a series of squirrel photos with music instruments.

Some years ago I started to take photos from my kitchen window of wild red squirrels, and do that still. Normally, I get bored after doing something for a few years, but not with this. I still watch these beautiful animals almost every day and make photos. They come and they go. I try to bring some magic, wonder and happiness with my work, which are real photos and not Photoshop. Only sometimes I take away a wire or some food. I also put out some videos on Youtube.

Wildlife photographer Andrew Fulton spotted an extremely rare white squirrel in Marbury Country Park, Northwich, UK. “It was my first time seeing a white squirrel as they are so rare, but hopefully it won’t be the last,” Andrew says. “It took me a while to find the squirrel even though I knew there was one in the park due to word of mouth and other people reporting it,” he adds.

Some years ago Gert Weggen started building a house with an open outside studio where wild animals can freely come. This studio is build 1 meter from the ground and is directly connected with his kitchen window. This is how he makes compositions on an eye level, 3 meters from his window and he uses food to lure animals.

A huge Doctor Who fan Emma Young created a funny squirrel feeder that turns cute visitors of her garden into the Time Lord’s nemesis, the Cyberman. She made the feeder from an old shower radio and filled it with tasty nuts. Emma patiently waited for squirrels to come and then snapped some hilarious photos.

Reddit user terminusbound spotted this highly unusual looking squirrel outside his office building in San Jose, California. Not only is the squirrel black and white, but it also has bright blue eyes.
In reality the squirrel has what’s called “piebald” which is a coloration that arises sometimes in many mammal populations (cats, dog, cows, horses, fox, mice, rats). In the wild, they are easy prey so usually don’t live to reproduce. Under domestication, the animals are protected and the color...

What This Pool Repairman Did Finding A Drowned Squirrel Is Amazing

One day in Arizona, pool contractor Rick Gruber came to work on an otherwise normal day. His task: install a pool heater. But as he arrived he came across a horrifying site. A drowning squirrel. He went to get something to help get the poor creature out of the pool, but when he came back it was submerged and not moving.
