It is unified in our daily scene and promotes protection of the environment. It is soft and feels natural. ‘Ivy’ is a plug to awaken the relationship between you and society. 4 dial number lock, steel wire + silicon gomcovered. 2 sizes: short (900mm), long (1500mm)” – says designer Sono Mocci from Italy. ‘Ivy’ is one of the shortlisted design entries from more than 3000 participants in the designboom competition, ‘seoul cycle design competition 2010′, organized in collaboration with Seoul design foundation. We can't get enough of Ebon Heath and his awesome talents with typography. The Brooklyn-based artist finds all kinds of new things to do with the letters of the world. In this unique collection of jewelry, Heath collaborated with Dubai-based jewelry designer Mona Ibrahim to create an ornamental collection that can be worn by everyone. The sculpted letters are both English and Arabic in the form of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that display a universal language. Individuals can wrap themselves in these beautiful messages that are formed out of laser cut leather and acrylics and ponder Heath's proposed question: "If we adorn ourselves with positive mantras of words, how does that give us reminders of things to value and keep dear?"

Everyone is calling it the "return of a legend." Last year, Australian billionaire Clive Palmer revealed plans for Titanic II, a modern-day functioning replica of the original luxury liner. According to the design plan, "While every bit as luxurious as her namesake, Titanic II will have every modern amenity along with 21st century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems." Passengers can purchase tickets and experience a journey across the ocean in a real life flash to the past, including class divisions and even costumes from the time period.

Whimsical Steel Flowers and Trees Installed in Nature

London-based artist Zadok Ben-David echoes motifs found in nature by implanting large steel sculptures of flowers, trees, and swarms of butterflies in natural landscapes, most recently at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Each large-scale structure mimics the various plant life and beautiful swirls of butterflies in a whimsically delicate manner. The silhouetted botanical forms vary in height and shape, each representing a different human states of being. The project's statement reads: "This installation reflects [Ben-David's] on-going engagement with the humanization of nature as a mean to express emotion."
