Moving home just got a whole lot spookier thanks to the visionary work of Spanish photographer Rafa Zubiria His new photo series, titled No Way Home is based around homes, flats & apartment blocks mysteriously levitating in mid air as life continues on around them. He describes his work as “disturbing and dreamlike surrealism” and we couldn’t agree more, there is a strangely unsettling element about these images, especially the first one with a passerby totally unaware of what is unfolding on the horizon. How would you react if you looked up into the sky and saw a block of flats just floating upwards in silence? More than a little spooked right? We can’t wait to see what Rafa does next, he’s already got the talent, concept and vision – so as far as we’re concerned, the sky is literally the limit for him (and his houses!)

Very little is known about Abel Flaubert. Well, except the fact that he’s a musical genius. How can we be sure of this? Simply check out the brillant track he created, purely comprised of original Gameboy sounds. We reckon a serious round of applause is in order – inspiring stuff!

We all know the Japanese can be more than a little kooky - but even this takes the cake. Before you watch this utterly surreal Japanese poodle workout video (which I guarantee will make you sit there and simply yell W.T.F repeatedly) we thought we should give you a little background to it. It was made by Nagi Noda for Panasonic (money well spent anyone?) and originally was part of 10 films they made for the 2004 Athens Olympics. Why did they make it? Why does it star poodles working out? Why did it make the Top 10? Who knows. In fact, truth be told, we can’t even tell if the poodles are CGI or actual PEOPLE wearing poodle outfits – that’s how odd this video is. In the end we gave up trying to understand it. She portrayed character of the teen wizard Hermione with grace, a quiet resilience and dare we say more than a little magic.

Turns out VICE have launched a new book Fashion Cats, which (yes you’ve guessed it) features the cutest cat outfits by Japanese cat fashion designer Takako Iwasa.
