The hunt for former police offer, Christopher Dorner, accused of two murders in California, appears to have narrowed with reports that the fugitive former police officer has been involved in a shootout with law enforcement officers on Tuesday afternoon.

Two deputies with the San Bernardino sheriff's department were shot and wounded in Big Bear, north-east of Los Angeles.

Local news reports said Dorner boke into a home, tied up two people and stole a pickup truck. Dorner was then confronted on a highway by fish and game wardens before fleeing on foot. He is now holed up in a cabin, according to the San Bernadino's sheriff's office.

The song is called "I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)," and it's  the first space-Earth musical collaboration. The project is a very long-distance project from Canadians Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies & Chris Hadfield, who is currently commanding the International Space Station.

In case you were wondering how many Rubik’s Cubes it would take to make a 19′ x 8′-6″ (5.7m x 2.5m) portrait of Martin Luther King, wonder no more! Artist and interactive designer Pete Fecteau has guessed that you will need 4,242 officially licensed cubes.

Fecteau’s work entitled “Dream Big” weighs a total of 454kg (1000 lbs) and features painstakingly twisted Rubik’s Cubes that come together to form small mosaic swatches of colour that blend together to create an overall image. Miniatur Wunderland (German for miniature wonderland) is a model railway in Hamburg, Germany and the largest of its kind in the world, built by the twins Gerrit and Frederik Braun. It's become a rather popular sight for locals and tourists alike!

As of January 2011, the railway consists of 12,000 meters (39,370 ft) of track, divided into seven sections: Harz, the fictitious city of Knuffingen, the Alps and Austria, Hamburg, America, Scandinavia, and Switzerland. Of the 6,400 square metres (68,889 sq ft) of floorspace, the model takes 1,150 m² (12,378 sq ft).^[1]

By 2020, the exhibit is expected to have reached its final construction phase, including at least a total of ten new sections in a model area of over 2,300 m² (24,757 sq ft).^[1] The next section covering an airport opened in May 2011. The exhibit includes 890 trains made up of over 11,000 carriages, 300,000 lights, 215,000 trees, and 200,000 human figurines. The creators will work on models of Italy and France now that the airport section is completed. The airport is named Knuffingen International Airport and is modeled after Hamburg International Airport. Possible future additions include Africa, England, or a futuristic landscape.^[1]

Steve Martin, the 67 year old comedian has FINALLY entered fatherhood with wife, Anne Stringfield. Mini Martin was born in December. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were escorted past a TSA checkpoint by a staffer at New York City's Kennedy International Airport, which was a violation of security protocol. Kimye were reportedly screened privately later to compensate for the staffer's mistake, and made it to their flight.

Lady Gaga cancels the rest of her "Born This Way Ball" tour due to a concert injury. After experiencing chronic pain the singer underwent additional tests and was diagnosed with a labral tear of the right hip, which will require surgery and a lot of rest.
