04 oct 2016 09:29

Polish charity “Karmimy Psiaki” (literally: We feed dogs) launched a social campaign named “11. You shall not abandon your pet”. Few Polish celebrities engaged in the project, being depicted as abandoned dogs – tied to a tree, dumped from a speeding car, buried alive. Authors hope these controversial materials will stop many people from hurting their pets.

The Polish Tatra Mountains
24 nov 2014 10:54

My name is Marcin Kesek and I am a 27-year-old photographer from a little village in southern Poland called Gronkow. I live in a very beautiful place near the Tatra Mountains, Pieniny and Gorce. A few years ago, I decided to capture these amazing surroundings at the right time and the best possible lighting. This was how my passion for landscape photography was born.

Stunning Aerial Photos of Poland’s Lakes Throughout The Seasons
30 aug 2013 13:38

If you haven’t seen much of Poland yet, then Kacper Kowalski’s aerial photos will make the perfect introduction. Born in 1977, the artist originally holds a degree in architecture, but has turned to piloting and photography instead. While flying above northern Poland, he found two incredibly beautiful lakes and decided to capture them as they change throughout the seasons. One of the lakes is in Kashubia and another one in Pomerania. Being in control of both the plane and the camera gives Gdynia-based artist a unique ability to control and handle each shot as he pleases, so each photo is thought-through and completed.

Crocheting a Locomotive in Lodz, Poland
21 aug 2013 11:45

Although currently living in the United States, crochet artist Olek recently returned to her native country of Poland for an epic project. Over the course of two straight (and rainy) days, Olek and her team of four assistants ‘yarn bombed’ an entire locomotive with two freight cars in tow. Olek had already crocheted many of the panels beforehand but they still had to be assembled to cover the train. The team worked through the night to pull off the massive undertaking, debuting the crocheted train on July 13th. It will be on display in Lodz, Poland, until August 19th. The project was done in collaboration with the city and was authorized. She calls the piece ‘Deadly Romance’.
