7 Dogs Before And After A Visit To The Hair Salon
Gingerina
21 nov 2018 11:00

I’m an animal photographer and these images are from my photo series titled HAIRY. All the dogs have been groomed in a Japanese grooming style. Japanese dog grooming does not follow the rules of traditional, breed-standard grooming. In fact, it only has one mission ― to bring out the dogs’ individual personalities and make them look as adorable as possible!

Just take a look at this fun series created by British photographer Gerrard Gethings who is known for his animal portraits that are always full of character. This time Gethings brought the best appearance traits of both people and their beloved pets to the public eye by pairing them together.

Here’s How I Turned Our Formal Living Room Into A Home Office
Gingerina
31 aug 2018 10:45

When we purchased our home last year, we started out using one of our three bedrooms as a home office. Our plans were to eventually convert the unused formal living space in the front of the house to a home office down the road, as we have a bigger family room in the back of the house that we use as our primary living space. When we found out we were going to have a baby, I figured this would be a good time to tackle this project.

Instead of searching for her dream home, Jessie Lipskin decided to create it. Scrolling through eBay, Jessie fell in love with a 1966 GMC bus (the same model Keanu Reeves Drove On ‘Speed’) and instantly bought it. She spent the next few years converting the vehicle into a house on wheels, and the gorgeous results display all the effort she put in the project.

Anna Rosling Rönnlund has spent the last 15 years making global public data easier to understand and use. Trying to come up with an idea that would connect with people better than colorful charts, she started Dollar Street. The initiative had a team of photographers documenting over 264 homes in 50 countries. In each home, the photographer spent a day taking pictures of up to 135 objects, like the family’s shoes, toothbrushes, or… children’s toys.

It's been one year since I went viral with my mother and daughter series #allthatisthree on Instagram, and it looks like this new series #scenefromtheceiling is going to be just as popular. We enjoy being creative as a family. The kids love to get involved, and they often pitch in with ideas and help us set up. It’s become a regular fun weekend activity.

I've spent 2 years to create this project called "Tiny Wasteland". The series features miniature figures placed next to everyday objects so as to create the illusion of microscopic worlds. As a food photographer, I mostly make these on food or with food.

What started as a fun $20 craft project turned into a way for me to cope with postpartum depression and bond with my daughter. I am NOT a professional seamstress, but I was inspired by my mother to hand sew costumes each month because of an Ariel costume she made for me when I was little. I’m sharing my story to let other struggling moms know they aren’t alone and hopefully the pictures will brighten someone’s day!

While visiting the Louvre last year, artist and filmmaker Julien de Casabianca was struck by an Ingres painting of a female prisoner tucked unceremoniously into a corner of the museum. He suddenly had an idea: what if he could somehow free her—both figuratively and literally—by reproducing her figure on a public street. With that single act, the Outings Project was born.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness month so we couldn’t think of a better time to share the second set of Wil Can Fly photos. Art Director Adriano Alarcon is based in Downtown Sao Paulo. “Fifty Fifty Selfie Barber Shop” was his fun project of half hipster’s beard replaced with Everyday Objects. After committing to shaving off only one-half of a 4-month old beard, Alarcon began filling the gap on his face with a variety of objects, creatures and substances. The best part about this surreal photography project is that it was created with absolutely no Photoshop!
