New Trailer for Keanu Reeves' Other Martial Arts Film, MAN OF TAI CHI (2 photo + 1 video)

Keanu Reeves is all about the martial arts films these days! He's got 47 Ronin coming out, which looks awesome, and then there's this Man of Tai Chi, which also looks pretty cool. Reeves not only starred in this movie, but he directed it too. It kind of has a Mortal Kombat vibe to it, especially at the end when Reeves yells out, "Finish Him!" Set in modern Beijing, the film follows the spiritual journey of a young martial artist (played by Tiger Chen) whose unparalleled Tai Chi skills land him in a highly lucrative underworld fight club. As the fights intensify, so does his will to survive. The film incorporates an innovative camera technology that helped capture the 18 fight sequences, which take up 40-minutes of the film. They used Bot & Dolly's "Iris," which is the world's most advanced robotic motion control camera system in order to capture the action up close and personal with camera moves only possible before in video games and other CG environments. Then the fight sequences in the movie were directed by renowned action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping (the Matrix Trilogy, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). So we know those are going to be amazing. This is one of the best and coolest Star Wars cosplay outfits I've ever seen. This Wookie cosplay is the character Tarfful from The Revenge of the Sith, and it's jaw-droppingly awesome. The video comes from YouTuber plaigeous, who says:

The steampunk look is so cool, but it seems like it would be an expensive scene to get in to. Especially with those amazingly detailed costumes and gear. Etsy user Captain Bayley has created a couple of radical steampunk helmets for Iron Man and Optimus Prime. I love how they turned out!

Not long ago, Mark Wahlberg said that he would be interested in taking over Iron Man when Robert Downey Jr. is done with it. Official Comedy created this funny short that gives us a look at what Iron Man might be like if it was set in Boston and starred Wahlberg. The guy they got to play the actor may not really look like him, but he's definitely got the vocal impression down. The short features Tony Stark battling The Mandarin and Obadiah Stane while trying to save Pepper and Fenway Park. It's pretty entertaining, and I hope you enjoy it!

Des Taylor (known as DESPOP) has created some wonderful art. The team of Wonder Woman and Captain America is among my favorites, and that is perfectly encapsulated by the recent commission piece he did featuring the two of them, which you can find featured in the slideshow below. The art itself is fantastic, but above that, I personally believe that Steve and Diana would make a much better fit than she and Clark do. As tempting as it is to make this post nothing but a rant on that particular subject, I will resist and instead focus on Despop's lovely art style. Here's an awesome collection of Steampunk inspired fantasy art created by DeviantArt user ArdenRey. These are for a project he calls M-0-Nero. It would be cool to get some kind of background on the story that these images are setting up. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the artist does with this work. Excited to hear a cool story to go with the awesome art.
