Put us in a room with a TV and we'll be utterly useless at doing anything but staring intently at whatever is showing. Apparently, the same is also true for cats. Check out this dedicated hockey fan who even gets annoyed when his owner dares to break his concentration at one key moment.

Say hello to Diego the Chihuahua and his best friend Nixon the pug. Although he’s blind, Diego listens to the tapping of Nixon’s nails as he walks around new surroundings to help guide him. It’s a case of a guide dog, for a dog as it were! The talented Carli Davidson is not only an internationally recognized award winning photographer, she’s also an experienced animal trainer and caretaker (she’s even worked at a zoo) – plus the proud owned of an incredibly loud black cat named Yushi. All of which goes a long way into explaining her passion for animal welfare and her latest series of images – ‘Pets With Disabilities’ It all started after she asked her local community to submit photos of their handicapped dogs via Facebook and within days the word had spread and the submissions had come flooding in.

Here are some fantastic pictures of ridiculously happy animals who have clearly figured something out that they will hopefully share with the rest of us when they are done celebrating.

These two Australian dams were originally used for the breeding turtles but this was not made clear to the new owners of the land who unwittingly drained the dams without knowing that it still contained turtles. They immediately appealed to the nature organization in the area to help save the turtles and although it took two days, over 500 turtles were rescued in the effort.

You've just got to love stories like this. When photographer Daniel Borris first started his Yoga Dogs series, he had a feeling that it would catch on but he couldn't expect that people from all over the world would eventually see it. "The photos have been written about in magazines from India to Russia and Brazil," he tells us. "There are calendars and other products coming out in the UK, Russia (and the Balkans), Japan, Korea, Germany and, of course, here. So it's pretty exciting! And having just released the book published by Abrams is fantastic."

Imagine you coming home from work or going groccery shopping and boom there's  a sea lion crossing the street. Leaving by the sea has it's advantages including a live sea lion show right in the middle of your street. The funniest thing is that the animal did obey the law by using a zebra crossing to make its way across the street:)telegraph.co.uk reports:

The half-tonne creature crawled out of the water in the beach resort of Balneario Camboriu in the southern state of Santa Catarina, then found its way onto the town's main boulevard.

Traffic ground to a halt for 20 minutes as the three-metre long sea lion slid across the busy road.

Police and firefighters threw water over the sea lion to keep it wet until it returned to the water an hour and a half later.

If there’s anything better than watching animals being adorable, it’s watching animals being royal a-holes. For starters, it’s funny. Secondly, now we know the truth about penguins. What a bunch of jerks. Here are 22 GIFs of animals showing their true colors.

This beautiful insect is named Eucharitid wasp. They're specialized parasitoids and they prey on ants. Larvae of the Eucharitid wasp latch on to a passing ant and are carried to the ant nest. When they're there, they develop inside the nest feeding on ant food. They're found in tropical regions throughout the world. Such a punk - just wants to stay at someone's place for free and eat their food:)

We love to watch animals. There's something magical about witnessing a way they behave in the wilderness, there's so much in common between us; the way we love, protect, fight for survival, kid around, and... get mad:) Sit back relax and enjoy the angry faces of the animal world, and think of your own face expression when you feel like they feel, I can definitely see myself in some of them LOL. Do we have to be like that? Nope

Penguins are the most interesting animals in my opinion, have you ever watched them walk around minding their own busyness? It's one of my favorite things to do in a Zoo, I can go on for hours spectating these adorable and very strange animals.  Nancy Rose created this adorable set of pictures by capturing squirrels for a few years in her back yard in Canada. She made peanut-filled sets for squirrels and patiently waited for them to come out and explore. The result are these pictures that capture the animal in real life-like situations - doing laundry, grilling, picking up mail etc. They will surely make you smile and leave you asking for more.
