Mesmerizing Kaleidoscopic Glass Installations by Olafur Eliasson

Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson may be best known for his expansive installations that encompass entire rooms, but his smaller-scale works are just as compelling. The artist, who is based in Copenhagen and Berlin, often uses mirrors, tinted glass, stainless steel frames, and lightbulbs to create spectacular kaleidoscopic works that transform spaces into illuminated, multicolored realms of beauty. Lit from within, Eliasson's geometric lamps project dazzling hues and patterns on...

Snails are adored by photographers and kids alike, perhaps because of the beautiful homes they carry on their backs all the time. Unfortunately, even those sturdy homes can’t protect them from people who unknowingly step on them. Some improved visibility might save their lives! To save these creatures from our boots, some compassionate people started to paint their shells. If you want to decorate your garden snails’ shells be sure to use non-toxic paint only

Meet Chip The Dog, The Most Adorable Farmhand

When it comes to farm dogs, you're probably more familiar with those whose job it is to rein in a flock roaming sheep. But for this cute kelpie living the farm life in Victoria, Australia, it's all about the birds. His name is Chip and his day job involves wrangling up to 2,500 emus at a time on the Longview Emu Farm, run by Jeff Long and his partner Bev Littlejohn. With around 8,000 emus total at the farm, it's one of the biggest in all of Australia.

“The Henry Graves Supercomplication” – a $17 Million Pocket Watch

“What makes a watch the most valuable in the world? It’s supercomplicated – literally. In 1925 banker Henry Graves Jr. (considered the greatest watch collector of the 20th century) commissioned Patek Philippe to create a unique gold pocket watch. When Graves finally received it – eight years later – it was the most complex timepiece ever created by human hands. Among the watch’s 24 horological complications were a perpetual calendar, moon phases, a power reserve and the night sky of New York...
