People age differently. You can see it in these comparisons. Some of them are pretty shocking...

This week the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California. They are also weighing the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman. To show their support for the LGBT community, people have been changing their profile pictures on Facebook. It started as big blocks of solid red. Then changed to a red block with a pink equal sign, which is symbol of the Human Rights Campaign. Now things have gotten a little out of control and some more creative options have popped up. Here are our favorites.
An Italian artist going by the name of Dito Von Tease has created “Ditology”, a project where portraits of famous people, real or fictional, are featured on human fingers. "Dito" translates to "finger” in Italian. It all started when Dito Von Tease, 33, was looking for an original avatar to use as his profile picture on Facebook. He chose a finger as a disguise because he was not keen on revealing his identity.
No one wants to be stuck in the friend zone. The moral of these photos is to not get stuck in the friend zone like these guys. We all feel bad for these guys who try so desperately but aren't getting anywhere. So next time someone says the words lets just be friends, run, and run fast.
If there’s one thing you know about me, it’s that I love me some good ol’ fails. The hilarious, the weird– it’s all fair game! But sometimes, epic failures can be painful. No doubt entertaining, but painful. This time around, we’re focusing on those of the trampoline variety. First off, trampolines are awesome. They can provide hours of mindless entertainment for people of all ages (guilty), but we’ve gotta face the facts– they’re also super unpredictable. You could be attempting an innocent backflip on a trampoline, and BAM– next second you’re face-planted into the ground. Ouch. Check out exactly what I mean below.
Here is another round of unusual festivals celebrated in October in different parts of the world. This would be a fun list to try to check out over the course of your lifetime!
There is a new meme that is spreading quickly. This meme is all about the ridiculously attractive jiujitsu guy. This meme is circling the web right now. Here are the best of the ridiculously attractive jiujitsu guy meme so far.
Korean artist Young-Deok Seo never ceases to amaze us with his skilled ability to turn ordinary bicycle chains into extraordinary figurative sculptures. Through his construction the artist continues to comment on man's disintegration into a mechanical universe by using a cold, hard material. Using the human form as his template, the accomplished sculptor mimics the intricate shape and curves of the human face, deep in thought, for his Meditation series.
David Ogle is a sculptor and installation artist who explores light and shapes in fleeting three dimensional form. For many of his installations, he uses fluorescent fishing line illuminated with ultraviolet rays to convey linear movement throughout a room or across a surface. Just as a light may bounce off of a wall and reflect at an angle, Ogle produces that natural motion with controllable and consistent materials, and the results are these visually vibrant, glowing blue structures that generate geometric shapes within a physical space.
New York-based artist Larry Kagan creates abstract wire sculptures that transform into recognizable figures when exposed to light from a precise angle. Similar to the likes of Diet Wiegman, Tim Noble and Sue Webster, Kagan's sculptures cast figurative shadows that draw the eye in amazement. Rather than focusing on the constructed steel structure, one's gaze is turned to the shadow drawings on the adjacent wall. Kagan explains, "We are more or less aware of the presence of shadows, since they tell us something about our environment, but we do not actually look at them – unless they call attention to themselves by some unfamiliar or unexpected behavior. My challenge was to induce viewers to actually look at the shadow rather than solely at the steel. I began shifting more of the narrative burden to shadow. The more content the eyes could detect in the shadow, the more time and attention they would expend on exploring its details…"
From a young age, Shanghai-based artist Yang Yongliang has explored Chinese art and calligraphy, but, even with its thousands of years of history, he is concerned that these traditional art forms are moving towards extinction. However, the artist believes that there are ways to move this art culture into more modern times by using the newest technology and techniques and blending them with the old. He says, "As long as the characteristics don't change, the media you use to express the art doesn't matter."
Nature is one mysterious beast. When we capture photos like this my mind can't comprehend how insane nature truly is. These photos will blow your mind with beauty.
When it comes to the off-season some NFL players take vacations, others work int he community and some stop by Sports radio and TV Shows. Not Raiders Left Tackle Jared Veldheer. He apparently has gone to the gym and no where else. Apparently he wants to be the next Hulk. Look at this transformation.
Ridiculously photogenic Jiu Jitsu instructor Clark Gracie has been making the internet rounds this week after a photo of him casually (and handsomely) demonstrating an Omoplata Choke went viral. Since we have no idea what an Omoplata Choke is, we thought up some other things this handsome man could be doing with his time (and his handsome, handsome face).
The National Park Service celebrated the 50th anniversary of Alcatraz Island's closure as a federal penitentiary on March 21 with an exhibit of newly discovered photos of the prison's final hours. The new display opened five decades after the last shacked prisoners were taken off the infamous prison in San Francisco Bay that once held the likes of gangsters Al Capone and Mickey Cohen.
If you logged into Facebook your probably saw at least a few people with a red and pink equality symbol. It didn't take long for a bunch of different spin offs to start popping up as well. With the supreme court hearing under way regarding California's prop 8 regarding gay marriage people wanted to show their support. Along with the red and pink equality sign in support of gay marriage we also got some funny memes and alterations with shout outs to bacon and the grumpy cat.
We all need quiet time, a few moments or hours away from the hustle and bustle of the world around us. The constant hum of the city, whether it’s thunderous car engines churning away, police sirens whizzing past or the jumbled din of a thousand conversations that pervade the sidewalks – sometimes, it can become just a little too much. Which is why we love the concept of a new photographic series titled ‘Silent World’ by travel photographers Lucie & Simon. They visited cities across China, US, France & Italy putting together these strangely tranquil and peaceful images. Through their travels, they’ve photographed a world where humans simply don’t exist. No zombie invasion like 28 Days Later, no tourists taking photos, no rude man pushing past you, no weary locals that have seen it all – just the city, alone and silent. A buzzing metropolis, reduced to a mere ghost town.
The music world is filled with countless clinches and most of them we roll our eyes and joke about. Of course on the other hand the clinches are what separates that wannabes and the superstars. That and the talent of course. A trade mark can be good but you don't want it to consume you as an artist. unfortunately that happens quiet a bit. Here are 9 of the worst pop-star trademarks.
World-renowned legends, puzzling local myths, misguided superstitions or genuine hoaxes? You decide, as we take a look at 5 terrifying monsters & their unique stories from around the world. Just don’t forget to leave a light on when you go to bed….
The last thing you’d associate with flower arrangements is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Skull & Crossbones and a brain bursting into bloom. But that’s exactly what you get in these extraordinary works of art by visionary Antoni Tudisco and his new series ”The Floral Project“. There’s more to flowering arranging than you’d imagine. The art itself dates back to ancient Egypt, it was there that they started to experiment with the concepts of form, space, texture, balance and colour. Since then it’s morphed into countless forms and styles around the world – not to mention a multi-million dollar industry. Still, they do say one of the keys to winning a girls heart is to bring her flowers, the question is ladies, would appreciate ones as awesome as these?
The new photographic series “Smoking Kids” by conceptual photographer Frieke Janssens is unsettling, disturbing, provocative & unquestionably compelling. She photographed children aged between four and nine, theatrically clothing them to mimic their “glamour” stereotypes – all of which are associated with smoking. From the vintage cinema dame, to the worn out housewife through to the tough guy having a big drag on a fat cigar – all portrayed & captured in melancholy detail.
At 86 years old Hugh Hefner is still going strong. He is currently on his third wife Crystal Harris who is 26 years old. His number of wives doesn't come close to the number of women he has slept with over the years. When asked just how many women Hefner replied "Over a thousand, I'm sure" and when asked for a specific number he replied " How could I possibly know?" Hefner probably lost count a long time ago. Just because his numbers were high doesn't mean Hefner wasn't faithful. Hugh said that he has always been faithful in each of his marriages. He explained that he made up for the time lost when he wasn't married. At one point he was dating up to 7 girls at once and even had a TV show on E! called "The Girls Next Door" which featured Hugh dating 3 of his playboy playmates at the same time. Hugh married Crystal Harris last new years eve and they both explained how in love they are regardless of the age difference. Crystal said “Hef loves me more than anybody else in a relationship ever has. It took me time away to realize that. I think I realized that here is where I’m meant to be.” Happily married Hugh is back to staying faithful for now. Lets see how long this marriage will last.
You don’t need to be a gamer to truly appreciate just how hilarious this video is. The popular fantasy/role play game titled ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim‘ , has been heralded as one of the hardest games ever – based on the ease at which you character can die during the game. So one seriously dedicated fan saw the funny side to it all and set about finding 100 different ways to die during the game! Trust me, it makes for some laugh out loud viewing.
Wonderland. It was suppose to be the largest most expansive and ground-breaking theme park in Asia. Millions of tourists were expected to visit and experience the magic of what (initially at least) was heralded as “the greatest amusement park in the history of the world” But due to intense disagreements over the value of the land with local farmers & government officials, all funding for the project stopped in its tracks in 1998. Now it’s ruins form part of China’s ghostly rural landscape. It’s been left abandoned ever since.
Spring is here but the snow storms have not slowed down. A storm that dumped over 15 inches of snow on parts of the Midwest continues to make its way east. Winter storm warnings and advisories have been issued as far east as Pennsylvania. The combination of spring and snow has led to some beautiful nature photos.
There is a lot of good music out there... and there is a lot of not so good music out there as well. It's a lot like finding a needle in a hay stack. You have to weave through a lot of the bad music in order to get to the good. Luckily for you, today I have done that for you already. Personally, as one who doesn't like electronic music that much, it was hard to find quality tracks. After some time searching, these tracks were the ones I found most compelling, based on originality, complexity, diversity, and structure. Let me introduce to you the best EDM songs I have found this week.
A very important case pertaining to gay marriage is currently being worked out at the Supreme Court. We shouldn't be wasting time with the justices opinions though. Lets just trust Jose Conseco, he has all the answers.

Over their three studio albums, 18 singles, and various other productions and remixes, Daft Punk has helped shape the dance music scene while influencing producers outside of it. Whether it be their approach in building sounds or the funk they provide throughout their tracks, Daft Punk has crafted some choice cuts that itchy hip-hop producers have eagerly dissected. Whether it's the chants "Technologic" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" or adding drums to entire rhythms, here are the best ways that rap artists have approached Daft Punk tracks.
It may not seem like it's been that long, but The Strokes have been releasing albums for over a decade now (moment of silence for those reflecting on how they're as old as balls now). Since the release of their critically-acclaimed debut, Is This It, in 2001, the New York band has been bridging the coarse, unpolished sound of the garage band with the rock 'n roll aesthetics for some of the most accessible, guilt-free rock around. Four albums, a lengthy hiatus, and some solo projects later, The Strokes are back again with their fifth studio LP, Comedown Machine. As the dynamic of the band members has evolved over the years, so has their approach to music. But from the sound of their forthcoming album, officially out today, that isn't necessarily a negative thing. To pay tribute to the band's imminent comeback, we're counting down the 15 best songs by The Strokes.
The pale-eyed handsome lad from the ‘Vampire Diaries,’ Ian Somerhalder, also co-owns a repurposed furniture shop with his brother Bob called Built of Barnwood. And to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the store, Somerhalder headed to Bay St. Louis, Miss. to sign pictures, posters and yes, even crosses. It’s cool, vamps in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ are totally fine putting their pale paws all over holy relics. In the five hours that Ian was at the event, he met over 2,000 fans and took over 200 photos with anyone who paid $20-$30 to get a professional 8×10 glossy taken with the CW star. (guessing at least some of that money went to his foundation.) Then I'd like to imagine he immediately took his shirt off and started re-purposing old furniture. Oh, don’t act like you’d object.
Car company Ford is in a little hot water for an ad campaign that revolved around making light of kidnapping in order to advertise the trunk space of their Ford Figo, with one ad putting a caricature of Paris Hilton in the role of driver and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian bound and gagged in the trunk. As the ad states, “Leave your worries behind with Figo’s extra-large boot.” Or in layman’s term, our trunk is so big, it can fit three whole Kardashians! The photo hints that Hilton has taken revenge against the sisters for stealing the spotlight of “most famous person who does absolutely nothing yet still makes oodles of cash” away from her. The company has since apologized, and JWT India, the ad agency who created the images said, “They have never been paid for and were not expected to be released.” Unfortunately, they still ended up being published on the website Ads of the World last Friday (March 22). The advertisements were created in and seemed to be aimed at an Indian audience, as the Ford Figo is currently meant for sale in developing countries. “We take this very seriously and are reviewing approval and oversight processes, and taking necessary steps to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” wrote Ford spokesperson Sethi Deepti. Another advert from the same campaign featured Italy’s former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, with three prostitutes tied up in the back of the hatchback with ball gags in their mouths. In case you’ve forgotten, Berlusconi was embroiled in a sex scandal in which he was accused of having sex with minors. Hey Ford, just because people joke about a trunk being able to hold X-amount of dead prostitutes doesn’t mean you should build an ad campaign around it. Yet another ad (one which didn’t cause much controversy in comparison) had Formula One driver Michael Schumacher as kidnapper and fellow competitors Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the trunk. Interestingly enough, none of them were drawn with ball gags.
