Mark Laita is a photographer from L.A. who has captured some very beautiful images of snakes for his new book, Serpentine. The focus of the book was on the graceful contortions of the reptiles. “It is not a snake book.” says Laita. “Really, it is more about color, form and texture. For me, a snake does that beautifully.” These shots are spectacular!

The Bay Bridge has overshadowed the Golden Gate for the first time in 75 years. Leo Villareal, an artist who works with lights and algorithms, spent 5 months with a team of electricians on the Bay Lights project. They've strung 25,000 LED lights a foot apart, from the top of the bridge’s towers down to the deck, for the full 2 miles of the bridge’s span. This is truly a work of art mixed with tech, kudos to Leo and his team!

The Eagles signed Connor Barwin to a massive 6 year $36 million dollar contract today. The contract is a bit of a surprise as Connor Barwin lacks the raw speed needed for the 3-4 defense which the Philadelphia Eagles runs. The move is also surprising considering the eagles signed Trent Cole to a six year 59.3 million dollar contract just last season. Cole's future with the team might be in jeopardy now withe the Brawin Signing. Barwin played for the Huston Texans the last few season where he managed 3 sacks over 18 starts. The Philadelphia eagles obviously see something they like in Connor to give him this big of a contract. This looks like a boom or bust contract to me. Only time will tell if the eagles threw away money or if this was a underrated signing.

Guinness is Irelands unofficial beer, and is very popular worldwide, with consumption numbers drastically increasing during St. Particks day. There is an interesting and unusual fact about it's making I bet you didn't know however, and if you're a vegan or a vegetarian this might make you think twice before ordering. Since the mid to late 19th century, air-bladders of fish (the parts that produce sound) also known as isinglass, have been used to clarify Guinness beer. Beluga was the preffered fish for the extraction of it's isinglass until William Murdoch introduced the cheaper Cod substitute in 1975. Although the mucous like substance sinks to the bottom of the cask after the clarification process is over, there might still be traces of fish bladder remaining in the beer.

A 45 year old woman jumped out of an 8th floor window of a New York apartment building while holding her 10 month old baby. She died but the child miraculously survived. By standers were shocked at the sight, as the baby bounced off the womans chest face down into the pavement. It has been confirmed that she was a married lawyer, and a suicide note was found mentioning postpartum depression, and worries of her childs development.
