Career Stats: Record: 24-21-3, 55.2 QBR, 5,911 YDS, 40 TD, 64 INT
It's a pretty good success rate to only play three seasons in the NFL and make it to a Super Bowl. Joe Kapp wasn't a standout by any stretch of the imagination. He managed to lead the '69 Vikings to the big game—they lost to the Chiefs 23-7—but still.
Every last Tuesday of January Scotland's Shetland Islands celebrate the largest fire festival in Europe called the Up Helly Aa, this tradition dates back as early as 1881. People dress up as vikings, set up the replica of Viking ship on fire and many other things like playing out battles, competing, jumping over fires, dancing, drinking, and screaming very loudly! Looks like loads of fun!
Ex-presidential nominee, John Kerry has been voted to take office as the new Secretary of State by a whole 95% of the Senate! That's 94-3 for the 28 year Senate veteran.
Seems like ex-presidential nominees are a pretty popular choice for secretary of state!
According to ABCnews, "Voting against Kerry’s nomination were Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., and Texas Republican Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz."
Listen up everyone– grab the tissues and prepare to shed a few tears. The beloved blog Regretsy is going to be kaput very, very soon. Founder April Winchell recently announced that after three-and-a-half years, the DIY meets WTF site will be turned into one big archive on February 1st. Readers can still leave comments and browse through past hilarious posts that poke fun at crafting, but Winchell will no longer be making snarky observations about regretful Etsy products.
After an article in Sports Illustrated accused Ray Lewis of using a substance called "deer antler spray" it became the hot topic of Super Bowl media. The spray is known to contain IGF-1 (insulin growth factor-1), and is on the NFL's banned substance list. The IGF-1 is said to give all the benefits without the risk of detection, through regular tests. Lewis denied taking the substance of course, and even if he did, it's scientifically proven that IGF-1 doesn't work on the human body as it does on the fast growing deer antlers, so his return had nothing to do with it.
Apple is launching an updated version of the iPad, which will have a much larger storage capacity and a Retina display that will increase it's resolution. Both the Wi-Fi version, which will cost $799 and the Cellular version for $929, will be available in Apple's retail stores this February.
What do cops do with all their extra time? When they aren't our giving speeding tickets or buying dough nuts, this is what they do:
Mark Shanley, an Irish graphic designer, turned his favorite “worst feedback comments” into hilarious posters. Excellent constructive criticism!
Let's have a contest. Who wants to submit all their funny captioned photos so that they can be featured on the site?
Just when we were beginning to think Ashley Judd had done the right thing in marrying Dario Francitti, we've been proved wrong again!
After just 11 years (still longer than the everage American celeb couple, so I guess they actually did pretty well), the stay couple is calling it quits.
In an official statement Judd said, "We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the couple said in a joint statement. "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
At least there was so huge battle, I guess.
Did you know that even small monkeys like the squirrel monkey are strong enough to rip a human face off?
These are some critters that you really don't want to upset!
Some people are known to have a phobia of monkeys, but did you know that monkeys can also develop phobias? For example some monkeys have been known to be afraid of snakes, certain insects, and even other monkeys. The mere image of them on a tv screen freaked them out beyond regular capacity. Weird, huh?
President Obama and Syria have had such a turbulent relationship lately.
In other news, our economically concerned leader has made quite a donation to the land of dismay; a promise for $155 Million in aid more than what he has already given them.
What for, Mr. President? Those people will keep on fighting until they figure out their own problems! What ever happened to the "mind your own business thing?"
The Pentagon has announced that 20,000 US Marines are planned to be cut from the pay. Does that mean that these 20,000 Marines will be applying for unemployment? The change is due to Defense department-wide budget cuts. This will reduce their number to 182,000, a much smaller number than what was being advocated for in the passed few years.
The good news it that we can be secure about peacetime staying for a few more years :)
According to Mashable Tech, "Drones are already widely-used tools for surveillance. They're routinely sent to spy in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and even on the U.S.-Mexico border. Soon enough, their civilian counterparts could fly over your city too."
Scary thought, isn't it?
Apparently it's been deemed as "too complicated," to use for regular every day civilian spying, but that's just what the big shots are saying. Who knows what could actually be underway...
if you were planning on going to Coachella this year, you might as well forget about it because tickets were sold out in only 15 minutes!
There was some bug in the system causing tickets not to be purchaseable, but the problem has now been resolved!
This is the 3rd year in a row that the tickets are sold out! Have you ever gone?
Escaping to the trpic anytime soon? ;)
As if cats weren't weird enough, check out their new favorite nesting spot -- on your shoulders!
I once had a cat who would make nests out of my hair while I slept, so that every time I woke up I'd have to curl my hair all over again.
Do you own a kitty? What's your cat's favorite cuddle spot?
40 year old from Dazed and Confused, Jason London, can now say he truly is Dazed and Confused!
Somewhere in Arizona, the twin brother of also troubled actor Jeremy London was found by police completely messed up in the face.
He reportedly told the police to "Look him up" because he is "rich and famous."
This "famous actor" was charged with disordely conduct after the 1:30 am pick up. Finishing up early, huh?

Do you hate public transportation? Are you a die-hard cyclist who will pull himself through any kind of weather? Well, as we all know the cold hard truth is that when the road is full of ice, not only cars can hydroplane. So what do you do? You get spiked wheels!!
In the old days they took this literally, but nowadays you've got this handy gadget that you can pop right on without much fuss at all.
If you're a happy owner of the hovering vacuum cleaner, then you are simply going to love this! Simply stick it to your window and watch the magic work! Actually, it's not magic, but rather science. In either case the Winbot is an awesome tool for stay-at-home moms who have better things to do than clean the windows all day. ;)
After so many cool Androids, and obviously the iPhone came out with apps and other awesome features for organizing your time, calling/texting for free, taking pictures on Instagram and other wonderful things, Blackberry has not advanced at all! What is the point of this phone anymore? Only people stuck in the year 2005 could possibly still think this phone is cool. BUT WAIT! There's a new Blackberry! And wow, big surprise, it looks exactly like an iPhone. Doesn't that just tell you something about the world famous phone? ;)
