The artist goes by the name of “‘Boy Knits World”’ on Instagram and crafts quilt-like panels of urban spaces that he comes across whilst traveling.

There are thousands of dogs in shelters who are waiting to be adopted. And while they patiently wait for a forever home they absolutely deserve, pups rely on shelter employees and volunteers to look after them and keep them company. It’s the most rewarding work a dog lover can do, and they certainly do their best at providing love and care for these animals.

As a crochet designer the possibilities of what I can create are endless! My children are my constant inspiration and bringing joy to them is priceless! I love to create fun and unique items that we all can enjoy. I’ve been anxious to make my little and big Star Wars fans something cool. It finally clicked while watching my son playing with his remote controlled Star Wars X-wing starfighter.

“Mermaiding” (the act of pretending to be a mermaid) is a fun summer activity for some, but it can be difficult to pull off in the winter. Luckily, the CassJamesDesigns Etsy store run by Melanie Campbell sells crocheted mermaid tails that are a cozy and playful way to wrap up and stay warm.

Super Mario 3 fan Kjetil Nordin spent 800 hours over 6 years to make a perfect crocheted copy of the game’s first map. The 31 year-old Norwegian used 100 balls of yarn, and the impressive blanket measures 2.2 by 1.8 meters (7’2”x5’10”). Kjetil even redid a massive section when he realized he had used an imperfect color for a certain portion of the map. During those six years, he won the Norwegian Sky Diving team championship two times, earned two university degrees, started a career, and...

Ukraine-based Anna Mo knits super chunky blankets with giant, three-inch stitches. This is the ultimate security blanket you can get lost in. She uses custom-made, two-inch-thick needles for her knits, which also include sweaters and scarves. Mo began knitting to have a hand-based escape from her head-based design job. No surprise then, that her work emphasizes its hand-made nature. The yarn wriggles with every huge loop, imperfections are magnified, and each piece has a unique flair. This...

First, She bought six pounds of unspun wool roving, then She went to the hardware store and bought broomsticks to act as knitting needles. When the broomsticks were too small, She went back and bought 1.5″ diameter PVC pipe. She turned each five-foot length of pipe into “knitting needles” by adding duct-tape tips, and just started knitting. A few hours later, I had my Giganto-Blanket.
