An ecologist at a zoo in Paris has documented the first ever instance of Visayan warty pigs using tools. Every six months, the endangered species dig out shallow nests in the first to prepare for the birth of piglets, typically by burrowing with their snouts. At the Musée de l'Homme, a museum of anthropology in the heart of the French capital, a researcher saw one of the pigs take a stick in its mouth and began using it as a shovel to scrape out a nest.

Roger Schall (1904-1995) was a renowned French photographer of the 1930s & 1940s. He worked in all photographic disciplines from fashion, portraits, nudes, still life and reportage. From June of 1940 to August 1944, Schall photographed German occupied Paris, hiding his negatives so they wouldn’t be found. Schall also documented post-war Paris and continued working as a photographer into the 1970s.

So what better place for gifted photographer Franck Bohbot to create his series ‘Theaters’. In it he takes you deep inside some of the most majestic and opulent theatres and galleries in Paris, to admire their beautiful designs and architecture. It’s a sight few if any get to see. Normally each theatre is awash with the movement & endless chatter of hundreds of patrons or plunged into total darkness during a performance. Frank’s imagines, are as beautiful as they are unique – it’s not everyday you have an entire Parisian theatre all to yourself.
