We've seen quite a few reimagined 'modern' versions of the Disney princesses we grew up loving and admiring. This latest interpretation by Chilean digital artist Fernanda Suarez, however, might be the fairest of them all.

Richard Schaefer is a costume design student at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Here he is dressed up as different Disney princes and their respective princess in a series called Prince to Princess Transformation. If I may say so, he makes a handsome dude AND a pretty lady. If I may not say so, then who the hell makes the rules around here? Whatever, I’ll just keep it to myself. But I’ll be thinking it in my head! I’ll be thinking it in my head so hard. So hard in fact, that I probably won’t be able to help but blurt it out loud. What? You can’t fault me for speaking my mind! I want pizza. What’s that smell? Ooh, Fraiser marathon at 6! God, that man looks good as a man and as a lady. How does he do it? See? I can’t help it!

Texas-based artist and animator Robby Cook has illustrated Disney princesses, villains, and other characters as elemental benders from Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. Jasmine is depicted as a firebender with her lightning tiger Rajah, Mulan is a member of the earth-bending Kyoshi Warrior clan, Pocahontas is appropriately an airbender, and Ariel is a waterbender. Ursula, the villain of The Little Mermaid, is a corrupted waterbender who controls Ariel through the dark art of bloodbending. To see the rest of the crossover artworks, head over to Cook’s website.

Last December, these Disney princess inspired dresses debuted at the Harrods’ Christmas window display. The dresses were collaborated on by designers Versace, Valentino, Marchesa, Elie Saab, and Jenny Packham. Now the fancy frocks will be auctioned off at Christie’s to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. That’s right—now you can have your very own designer Disney princess gown! I mean, provided you’re the highest bidder.

Dina Goldstein brings us this series called Fallen Princesses. Or as I like to call it, Sadness with an extra shot of depresso. The photos feature the lives of fairy tale heroines post happily ever after. Snow White’s barefoot and pregnant, Pocahontas is a cat lady, Ariel’s trapped in an aquarium… mega sad stuff. If fairytales don’t even have happy endings, then none of us regular people have any hope. Granted, I didn’t have much to begin with, but now I got zero. BRB crying in the shower.
