W magazine's Creative Director Dennis Freedman came up with a brilliant way to show the world one of the most talked about and photographed woman, Angelina Jolie in a new, different light. He suggested this project to Brad Pitt, who's favorite hobby is photography. "I was surprised that Brad accepted the challenge," says Freedman "Last time we collaborated, I was struck by his sensitivity to the subtleties of photography. I knew that he possessed a highly tuned critical eye and would be very demanding of himself. Still, I wasn’t prepared for the beauty and intimacy of the images he made of Angelina and the children." Check out these very intimate and beautiful pictures taken by Angie's loving husband at their Provence, France hideaway.

Austin-based photographer Emily Blincoe seems to have quite the sweet tooth. For her Sugar Series, she collected a wide range of color-specific candies, arranged them in deliciously symmetrical squares, and then photographed the organized compositions. She included every candy one can imagine, including lollipops, bubble gum, all kinds of fruit chews, hard candy sticks, taffy, gummy bears, PEZ, and even little heart-shaped piles of nerds. Each photograph features a slew of candies set against a solid, color coordinated background. Blincoe features the full rainbow—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple—as well as black, gold, and white. The light is exactly the same in every photograph, shining in from the left and casting shadows off to the right, which adds a bit of depth to the arrangements. Viewers can't help but wonder if, at the conclusion of the project, Blincoe enjoyed a little feast of sugary treats!

While I hate to use the word "precious" when describing anything related to children, there's just no other way to describe these illustrations by Pascal Campion. The San Francisco-based illustrator and animator makes us stop and appreciate the fleeting moments in life - the kind that pass us by in the blink of an eye. As a first time mom, these illustrations seem to take on a whole new meaning. You can tell that this French-American illustrator finds inspiration in his own family life. As he says on his website, "Sometimes it’s being at the supermarket or giving a bath to my daughter and she looks at me and smiles. It lasts for a second, but the memory of it stays with me for a long time. These are the things that interest me the most."

So apparently, this cleaver girl has made a living impersonating famous UFC fighters on youtube and yes, she's made a couple of them. This one features Tito Ortiz, King Mo, Roy Nelson’s gut and Anderson Silva, among others. Oh, and then she pours soda all over her ass. It is a thing you should watch immediately, and all the way through. A few times.

There is a ton of funny stuff on the internet, but there is some content that only a certain slice of the demographic will find humorous. These photos are a good example of that idea. Show these photos to a guy who doesn’t play video games, he might laugh or understand one or two but show them to a guy who sold his wife to get an all access pass to E3 and he’ll laugh his out-of-shape dumper off. Check out these hilarious images that’ll will make any gamer chuckle. If you didn’t laugh, maybe you’re not as big a gamer as you thought.

It takes balls to pull off this stunt. It takes no balls to finish it. In this video, a guy bets another feller $25 that he won’t flinch while he kicks him in the ‘nads 10 times. It’s the kind of dare even the guys from ‘Jackass’ may deem too ridiculous. If the guy really wanted to be bold, he should’ve put down a sawbuck on the fact he’d be a falsetto by the end of this video.

A Reddit user shared a prank he pulled on a friend he was pet sitting for while they were out of town. While the prank was physically harmless, we can’t imagine the psychological torment of knowing that crazed Nicholas Cage could be lingering in every corner and crevice of your home. The homeowners better sleep with one eye open for the next several weeks.

What do most people do with fish they bring home from the market? If you’re normal you’d probably gut it and eat. (Actually if you’re really normal you buy that stuff pre-cut so you don’t ever have to look at their cold dead eyes staring back at you.) If you’re… not so normal like Paris based artist Anne-Catherine Becker-Echivard, you might make a weird-ass photo series of fish working on assembly lines or in laboratories. The series is called “Les Temps Modernes” (Modern Times in English) probably because in these modern times no one’s going to question your sanity for doing something like dressing up little fishies and taking pictures of them.

A 26 story residential building in Beijing, China has a new bizarre construction. There's a mountain on the roof around one man's attic apartment. How did this happen you wonder? A doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Zhang Biqing built it over a period of 6 years by carrying rocks and other material to construct a mountain around his home. He then added some balconies and landscaping to create his own retreat. All of that was done illegally and without consulting with the rest of the building residents, so after complaints of cracking walls, the eccentric owner was issued a 15 day notice to remove his 800 square meter creation. "I used to worry that the house might be too much but I never expected this much attention," Zhang is reported to have told The Beijing News. Oh of course not, it totally blends in with the rest of the mountain top buildings.

I don’t need to explain the Internet’s obsession with cats. You’re here, therefore you’re in the know. Let’s move on…to donuts. They are everywhere. From fast foods sandwiched in between two of them to the strange cronut hybrid, donuts have taken the spotlight off of cupcakes (thank goodness for that). Combine the two favorites and you get something that might cause the entire world wide web to explode. Inspired by a popular anime series called One Nya Hup, these sweet kitties are adorable and probably very delicious. Unfortunately, they are only going to be available in Japan. For now.

This is a video of Panchino the chihuahua doing yoga poses in sync with his person. It’s pretty adorable. And, if you’re me, a little enraging. Why can’t my dogs do cute stuff so I can post videos of them on the internet? But noooo, every time I bring the camera out, my dogs gotta be all weird and do gross stuff. One’s licking his privates, the other’s dragging her ass across the carpet… don’t they have any ambition of YouTube success? Clearly they don’t. But sometimes Einstein will roll over for a treat. So there’s that, I guess? Ah, who am I kidding — I’m just grasping for straws here!

If we told you a story of an ancient city, some 1,200 years old, that has been devoured by the foreboding Mediterranean Sea and entombed under a tons of mud, rock and sand – you’d be forgiven for thinking it was the opening passage to a Disney fairytale. But this is one story that isn’t fantasy, in fact you could say it truly is the stuff of dreams. Originally called ‘Heracleion’ by the Greeks but named ‘Thonis’ by the ancient Egyptians, the existence of the mythical city was confirmed to be true when in 2000, Dr. Frank Goddio (an underwater archaeologist) made one of the most important discoveries of the 21st century.

What I am guilty of is regularly perusing r/IASIP and getting way to excited when I read “I thought Fat Mac was back for a second…” It was a bittersweet discovery that Rob McElhenney has not in fact returned to Fat Mac form, but instead that Billy Ray Cyrus is currently the owner of the best Fat Mac impersonation going. Self-taught makeup artist Carly Paige transforms herself into various pop culture icons. There are no limitations to her list of subjects as she tackles all shapes, forms, ages, races, and genders. From Angelina Jolie and Pamela Anderson to Michael Jackson and Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, the Montreal-based creative manages to reproduce the image of some of the world's biggest celebrities with her raw talent and a few stylish wigs. Paige thoroughly researches each of her subjects, saying, "I spend a while studying at least three different shots of someone. One for their face shape, one for their make-up or style, and one for their expression. Kim Kardashian's expression was really funny to try to perfect." Though, she admits, "Some are really difficult, especially if I have to paint detail on my eyes or if my face shape is different. Still, once I've decided on one, I spend ages trying to get it right. It is rare that I give up on one like that." It's hard to believe that the 26-year-old only began artistically challenging herself with this personal special effects makeup project in October 2012. She continues to perfect her craft in the hopes of working on films. In the meantime, she works at Sephora, playing with potential materials for her next transformation.

The majority of the artworks we feature on the site are either hanging from gallery walls or spray painted onto city walls. One of the last places you’d expect to find works of art is amongst the flora and fora in your garden. But that’s precisely what you’ll find on display in the Montreal Botanical Garden’s right now. As part of the Mosaïcultures Internationales Montréal 2013 – Land of Hope (MIM2013) 50 mind-blowing artworks from around 20 countries are on display – all of which are comprised from natural materials. Hundreds of leaves, branches, flowers, vines, roots and meters of foliage are twisted and styled into some of the most stunning creations you’re every likely to see. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the entire exhibition is 100% sustainable having received green certification from the city itself. You’ll be pleased to know the exhibition still has a few weeks to run, it ends on September 29 2013. Tickets range between $10.25 and $29.50, incredibly reasonable for a day that will surely take your breath away don’t you think?

These days we take Wi-Fi for granted, this invisible energy field that keeps us all constantly connected wherever we are in the world. But do you know how it was initially created? It was actually the by-product of a fail research project conducted by one John O’Sullivan an Australian radioastronomer. At the time he was trying to detect exploding mini black holes the size of an atomic particle, but instead found a solution that made wireless LAN fast and reliable. Not a bad days work in the office I’m sure you’ll agree. But if we could see it, what would Wi-Fi actually look like? Thankfully Dr. Vogel a professor and former NASA employee teamed up with visual artist Nickolay Lamm to answer just that question.

He’s been labeled by the French authorities as a vandal, even so far as being fined €400 for his actions. But that hasn’t deterred French artist Clet Abraham from prowling the streets of Europe adding his own irreverent twist to traffic signs for the past 2 years. How does is he able to do it? In the depths of the night, a friend gives him a leg up and he quickly plasters the stickers onto the sign before vanishing without a trace into the shadows. Europe’s weary commuters and pedestrians then wake up to his wonderfully inventive work the following morning. His humorous and subversive designs certainly makes the roads and alleyways of Europe a lot more interesting don’t you think? Let’s keep it that way, if you have happen to catch him in the act, turn a blind eye will you?
