Imagine having a real-life version of the Hansel & Gretel house... well, for it CAN be real!

Inthis case, it's more like a small room/cabin made completely out of cotton candy. As long as it's nowhere near the outdoors (to protect it from ants or bees), it's safe to munch on whenever you feel like you need something for that sweet tooth!

This Little Baby Loggerhead Sea Turtle Swims for Thousands Miles to Survive
16 feb 2013 17:00

50% of these little creatures die even before they get from the sand to the ocean waters eaten by crabs, birds and other predators. The survived ones get to the waters to only begin their 8000 miles journey around the North Atlantic basin.

Young loggerheads that survive this incredible migration will return to the coastal waters of North America in about 6 to 12 years — only after they have grown too large to be eaten by most types of predatory fish and birds that populate coastal waters.

The migrations of young loggerhead turtles take them into the relative safety of the open ocean where predators are less abundant than in coastal waters. The journey is among the longest and most spectacular migrations in the animal kingdom. The turtles begin as utterly defenseless, two-inch-long hatchlings — the odds stacked heavily against them.

Able to swim at maximum speeds of only about half a mile an hour, and unable to dive, young turtles slowly swimming along the ocean’s surface can’t evade most predators. Most do not survive. Only about one in 4,000 Florida hatchlings reaches adulthood.

50% of these little creatures die even before they get from the sand to the ocean waters eaten by crabs, birds and other predators.

Inside A $20 Million Dollar New York Apartment
17 feb 2013 14:50
They say money can’t buy class, but that’s not the case in our latest feature. There are literally thousands of unbelievable penthouses in New York – but few are as fantastic as this. Let’s start with the specs, it has a 24ft high ceilings and it’s position directly overlooks Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History. It’s current owners are tremendous supporters of the arts, that they contracted Madrid-based painter and artist Ramon Canet to coat the 24ft high ceiling with bursts of colour deep blues and rich yellows, whilst George Nakashimi (one of the leading top woodworking artists of the 20th century) added his distinctive touch to several items of the furniture. Oh and did we mention the fireplace dates back to the 17th century? You can see more stunning view size photos of the apartment from the Daily Mail, it’s recently been featured because the apartment itself is actually listed for sale. But you’d better be quick, because even if you DO have a spare $20,000,000 lying around, an apartment of such style and class it won’t be on the market for long.

Spooky Real-Life Photos From A Colombian Exorcism
17 feb 2013 14:51
Brother Hermes Cifuentes is an exorcist living in La Cumbra, a town rife with superstition in Colombia. He’s been a busy man of the years, claiming he’s carried out a mind-boggling 35,000 exorcisms during his 25 years as a minister. That surely has to earn you some brownie points with the powers above, having vanquished THAT many evil spirits and sent them back down into pits of hell. The images your about to see are “real-life exorcisms” taking place, as Brother Hermes attempts to relieve the suffering of the possessed individual by using a variety of rituals, devices and trinkets to help his mission. There are countless skeptics that claim there is no such thing as “demonic possession” and that is merely a case of mental illness, the resulting of side effects of prescribed medication or even severe allergies. You might have heard of the infamous Salem witch trials whereby literally hundreds of women were hung and disposed of (in some pretty horrendous ways) for being witches and carrying out the devils work on the local villagers. But science and history have shown that a fungus called Claviceps purpurea was evident in the rye during that era and specifically within the Salem community.
