Chester was found in a shelter where he was dying from cancer

There’s no Make-A-Wish Foundation for dogs, but if there were, Nicole Elliot could be its CEO. The Columbus, Georgia resident recently adopted Chester, a cancer-ridden dog, from Animal Ark Rescue. When Eliot saw “hospice needed” posted by a charity, she decided to take the dog in to make his last days as happy as possible.

The Persistence Of Serpents, After Dali

I love snakes, and a few other humans on this planet also love snakes. Sadly there are so many humans that do not. I painted this series to make people smile. Smiling is a positive thing. If I can get humans to have a nice fun feeling while looking at snakes, my job is done.

Everyone is an Artist (Tokyo)

One of the biggest satisfactions of creating my art comes through the actions I make on the streets. When I work on the streets one of my aims is to reach as many levels of society as possible, not only to those who are art sensitive. The streets belong to everybody, specially to those who live it more intensely. I have just came back from my first trip through Asia. It’s been a really tough, exciting and enriching experience. For this tour I wanted to make interventions that tackle the...

Kitten And Owlet Become Best Friends And Nap Buddies

Fuku the owlet and Marimo the kitten are an adorable pair of best friends that love to hang out, play together and nap at their home in Hukulou coffee shop in Osaka, Japan. The cafe occasionally gets other owl visitors as well, and it also sells fun owl-themed crafts and good, but it looks like these two are the stars of the show.

I Create Giant Sculptures From Scrap Wood

I’m a Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Everyday I scavenge wood and other materials in my home city Copenhagen, and create different sculptures. I truly love working with scrap wood. There’s so much of it everywhere so I can pretty much build what ever I can imagine. I hope my sculptures will inspire others to recycle.

These 18 Vintage Medical Photos Are Both Creepy And Fascinating

With the wonders modern medicine works every day, it's easy to forget how tough the early days of medicine were. Even as the scientific method informed the development of new drugs, techniques, and tools, there were plenty of quacks looking to cash in and few avenues to hold them to account. And there were mistakes. Lots of mistakes. For many patients, the cure was often as harrowing as the disease. So have a look at the photos below and be thankful that you're living in the 21st...

Time to have a baby!

When my friend and fellow photographer told me she was planning a home birth, I knew I had to be the one to capture it… I’m Kathy Rosario of K Ro Photography and babies are what I live for! To me, there is nothing more amazing than watching a woman give birth, and when it’s in the comfort of her own home it feels even more special. It was pure bliss and tranquility as we awaited for the baby’s arrival. I have photographed quite a few births already, but nothing quiet compared to the serenity...

Cross-Stitch Tattoos By Turkish Artist Eva Krbdk

Many people consider cross-stitching to be something their grandma would do, but Eva Krbdk, a tattoo artist based in Ankara, Turkey, seems to think otherwise. Her cross-stitch tattoo designs look like a cross between pixel art and the popular folk art they’re named for.
Many of her pieces are simple and cute, but with a large-enough canvas, they can become truly impressive, utilizing a wide array of colors that blend to form beautiful images.

This inseparable pair of strays in the UK is one of the most powerful examples of animal friendship we’ve ever seen. Glenn, a Jack Russell terrier, is permanently blind, and relies on his best friend, Buzz the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, to get around confidently. The two were found in a sea tunnel in Northern England and have stayed together ever since – they grow restless and agitated when separated.
