It’s an age old saying “They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” but what better example of that than the rise of “the cover song.” Artists have continued to reinterpret and breathe life and vibrancy into older songs previously written across different eras for different generations. It doesn’t always work, make no mistake there have been some truly horrendous covers (Alien Ant Farm we’re looking at you) but by and large cover songs give you that warm fuzzy predictability and familiarity – with a slightly different and novel twist. It’s also a major risk for any artist / band to take as they’ll always be compared critically to the original. Music wizards Sonos have created a cool infographic highlighting some of the best cover songs of all time and how other artists have fared in their attempts at covering them. But before we do, here’s Johnny Cash’s unique and emotional version Nine Inch Nails ‘Hurt’ – a cover which many regard as being even better than the original song.
As the daughter of two of the most attractive stars in Hollywood, it’s no surprise that Ireland Baldwin has been snapped up by not one, but two, top modelling agencies. And the 17-year-old proved the point by sharing some informal self-portraits on Twitter. Bare-faced and natural in one, made-up with rollers in another, Ireland is certainly a model comfortable in her looks - and one who doesn’t take herself too seriously either.
It turns out that Photoshopping the teeth out of celebrity photos is equal parts hilarious and horrifying. Take a look at this manipulated photos of famous actresses.
David Beckham's fail in China. I think, it's his biggest fail so far. This one is embarrasing. It happened while playing with some school children.
What would our beloved Hollywood stars look like without all their glamor? We’ve seen some accidental shots of girls with no make-up or guys with a massive hangover, but a New York artist Danny Evans decided to take it a step further and take away the whole lifestyle that makes the superstars look so polished. In his photo series Celebrities Make Under Danny photoshops famous actors and singers to get a reversed effect – see them as ordinary people. “It was a reaction to the insanely over-retouched photos of celebrities that are everywhere,” says the artist. The series started back in 2006: reacting to a crazy over-exposure of Paris Hilton, Danny photoshopped some images by putting her face on random pictures. Eventually it evolved into visualizations of celebrities without their personal train?id=25298ers, stylists and dietist. Danny says the feedback from the celebs he targets has been positive so far!
People age differently. You can see it in these comparisons. Some of them are pretty shocking...
If there’s one thing you know about me, it’s that I love me some good ol’ fails. The hilarious, the weird– it’s all fair game! But sometimes, epic failures can be painful. No doubt entertaining, but painful. This time around, we’re focusing on those of the trampoline variety. First off, trampolines are awesome. They can provide hours of mindless entertainment for people of all ages (guilty), but we’ve gotta face the facts– they’re also super unpredictable. You could be attempting an innocent backflip on a trampoline, and BAM– next second you’re face-planted into the ground. Ouch. Check out exactly what I mean below.
Ridiculously photogenic Jiu Jitsu instructor Clark Gracie has been making the internet rounds this week after a photo of him casually (and handsomely) demonstrating an Omoplata Choke went viral. Since we have no idea what an Omoplata Choke is, we thought up some other things this handsome man could be doing with his time (and his handsome, handsome face).
These people are living life the way they want, whether the world likes it or not. They do what they want! These Rebels give no F*cks!

You don’t need to be a gamer to truly appreciate just how hilarious this video is. The popular fantasy/role play game titled ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim‘ , has been heralded as one of the hardest games ever – based on the ease at which you character can die during the game. So one seriously dedicated fan saw the funny side to it all and set about finding 100 different ways to die during the game! Trust me, it makes for some laugh out loud viewing.
These days, new names for genres pop up every day, and with good reason—despite what old-timey snobs say about music today, there’s a lot of new sounds being played with and no shortage of experimentation that makes it hard to classify with the good old words we’ve been using for decades. That being said, sometimes it gets taken too far. With so many variations of dubstep being invented, the everything-”step” names keep coming. I'm calling out some of the most unnecessary, and silly names ending in "step" today. Just stop step!
You might have seen those rather funny retro furniture catalogs from the 1950’s at various garage sales and charity shops. A funny reminder of times gone by, when all people worried about was whether the sofa set would match the lampshade. But visual artist Nadine Boughton is adding her own twist to these inspirational images of yesteryear, by adding in illustrations from numerous adventure stories also from the same era. As the overall aesthetic and even fading of the both the books and illustrations is similar, the end result is a collage that looks startlingly real. We reckon she must have a great deal of fun creating these works, starting off with a sense of tranquility and calm, before adding in some god-forsaken monster or wild animal into the scene! Below are several examples of her work, but ?id=26566make sure you check out the full series via her official site. http://nadineboughton.com/index.html
These may be mundane everyday objects - but they can still raise a smile. In a series of chance situations this funny set of happy snaps show a range of non-living things sporting a smile. The cheery images appear on a grater, chair and even forms on the surface of a cup of coffee.
The Invisible meme is about to blow up on the internet. The meme started with cats but has evolved to embrace squirrels, alligators, people and anything else caught on camera. This is the best of the invisible meme so far.

Since the dawn of time people have been discovering new and unusual ways to make a living. Most of us have regular jobs which bring us an income, but alarming there are individuals out there that sell the naming rights of their first born to bring in the cash. Which brings us nicely onto entrepreneur Mohawk Gaz and whilst he isn’t tattooing his face with logos he’s taken the rather unique and fun approach of letting brands, teams and corporations sponsor his mohawk. You can do the same thing too! A bunch of people have been walking around with interesting mohawks. The likes of Google, VISA and even the NBA are just some of the brands that have splashed the cash to be emblazoned on his ft long mohawk. It’s certainly one of the more unusual and eye-catching (which is what all adverts try to be) ways to get your brand noticed. So what do you think? A genius idea or utterly ridiculous? Would you walk around with a basketball hoop attached to your head for $5K? Let us know the comments below.
For some reason Justin Bieber just cannot seem to keep his pesky clothes on. The young musician was seen taking off a little bit more than he needed to as he stepped through a security gate at Wladyslaw Reymont Airport in Lodz, Poland. Justin, 19, was departing the cold country on Monday following his concert there and was once again shirtless.
Kim Kardashian has revealed her boyfriend Kanye West is helping her embrace her pregnancy shape. The reality TV star, 32, has admitted she's struggled to adjust to her changing form, but now feels 'sexy' thanks to the rapper's encouragement. I’m not an imaging specialist, but my hunch says that some photo manipulation has occurred in these picture. What do you think?
Who Doesn't Love a good photo bomb? Every photo is a good chance for a hilarious photo bomb. These couples all got photo bombed while making out with their significant other.
Popular subreddit Explain Like I’m Five finally has their own webseries. The subreddit describes itself as “An inclusive place to ask questions and get simple, layman-friendly answers, without fear of judgement.” In the videos, the concepts are being explained to actual five-year-olds, and although it’s not as informative as a typical ELI5 response, it is certainly more adorable.
There are over 400 million tweets per day on Twitter. That means that amounts to around 2.8 billion tweets a week. I have gone through each and every one of those tweets (no not really) to bring you the Dumbest Tweets. Sure, I may have lost all feeling in the left side of my body, but it was worth it! Amazing what some of these people write on twitter.
Mom asks son to clean the bathroom like the Queen of England is coming. His reply is amusing and epic. This kid definitely deserves a great deal of credit for this one. Genius!
To celebrate the Crave Sydney International Food Festival, the flags of participating countries were recreated using popular local foods from each nation. Clever, stylish and lets face it very very yummy indeed!
"Please do it at home" and "Please do it again" posters from Tokyo subway These are some pretty interesting public transit posters. They are pretty straight forward and obvious. Simple yet to the point.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “Merry Ol’ England” right? Well as you’re about to see, those Brits / Welsh / Scots certainly do like to have a cheeky beer. Actually make that LOTS of beer. When it comes to London, you might have visions of the magnificent Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s guards, high-end fashion prowling the streets, designer shopping at Harrods, the imposing Big Ben / London Eye or the steeples of Westminster Abby – where politicians debate and shape the future of the emerald isle. Across in Cardiff (the capital of Wales) you might envisage the majestic Millennium Stadium or the imposing Cardiff Castle and finally if you head up to Scotland (and its capital the World Heritage listed Edinburgh) – you can’t stop but appreciate the genuine wit, buzz and excitement of their world-famous Edinburgh Comedy & Fringe festival. What you don’t see (until now) is what happens after dark in those capital cities. With the Queen safely in bed and tourists cooped up at the hotel bar – out comes the dreaded Friday night UK public! And thus begins the endless rounds of cheap cider & tequila, sweaty servings of fish & chips, heat lamp lit curries and a dirty kebab on the way home. Heavy drinking and basically assuming your alter-ego each Friday night is part and parcel of life in the United Kingdom. If you don’t wake up in the gutter with tandoori all over you – it hasn’t been a good night. So with that in mind, enjoy this hilarious selection of the youth having a lot of fun all over the UK….and lot of booze!
It takes a relative amount of skill to look like a decomposing walking body--it certainly takes up a lot of makeup! If you are the unfortunate tourist, who comes to the US on zombie walk day, or Vampire crawl, good luck getting through that mess alive! I've recently been inspired by the popular book "The Zombie Survival Guide" and though all of you viewers would enjoy these masterful walking corpses. Have fun!
