Conan O’Brien played and reviewed DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us with Aaron Bleyaert for another “Clueless Gamer” segment on Conan. In previous episodes, he’s reviewed Skyrim, Minecraft, Halo 4, Resident Evil, Just Dance 4, Hitman: Absolution, and he even perved out on Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. The video includes the usual slams on some of the cheesier DC Comics characters. “Even fish are embarrassed when they see Aquaman,” Conan says. Then he asks after a cut scene in their face-off between Batman and Wonder Woman, “Did we just have sex? I think we had sex. It was quick, but she seems happy.” The sarcasm continues heavily when Conan comments about how creepy Superman’s a zoo full of alien creatures is and Bleyaert defends Superman by saying Michael Jackson had a zoo. “You’re right,” Conan replies, “Nothing creepy there.” The biggest Injustice: Gods Among Us news comes late in the video, when we find out Conan can play as The Flaming C, the fishnet-stocking’d Superhero he co-created with Bruce Timm.r

Seven years after Zack Snyder slo-mo’d our faces off in 2006′s The 300 (eight by the time this actually comes out), 300: Rise of an Empire, which Laremy’s curse pushed back from a summer 2013 to a spring 2014 release, is back to clean up the remaining scraps of demand that hasn’t already been exhausted by the 15 previous movies that look exactly like it. Directed by Noam Murro, which I’m not even sure is a real name, it tells the story of Whoselah and Whathisstopheles, and their epic battle over whether to cover Greece in the gold curtain rods and shiny face piercings sweeping the great real estate empire of Persia, where all the evil people identify themselves by being grotesque and weird. Something like that. Honestly, I sorta zoned out halfway through. The best part about this for me was Eva Green being in it, because it reminded me to do an image search for Eva Green. My God does that woman have a fantastic attitude about getting naked.

You see, this is why Dave Grohl may actually be our Lord and Savior: in an interview with Delta Sky magazine, naturally, Grohl sounds off on the proliferation of singing competition reality TV shows, saying that such shows are “destroying the next generation of musicians.” “When I think about kids watching a TV show like American Idol or The Voice, then they think, ‘Oh, okay, that’s how you become a musician, you stand in line for eight f*cking hours with 800 people at a convention center and then you sing your heart out for someone and then they tell you it’s not f*cking good enough,’” Grohl said in the interview. “I swear to God, if my daughter walked up onstage and sang her heart out and some f*cking billionaire looked at her and said, ‘No, I’m sorry you’re not any good,’ I’d f*cking throttle that person, I swear to God. I can’t say I’m an avid watcher of the Tony Awards. My cousin Brad won a Tony back in 2010 for being in the cast of ‘Memphis’ and I appreciate anything Trey Parker’s doing, but aside from that the show sorta slips through my radar. That said, the Tony Awards can enjoy a forced thrust into sports blog relevancy by including a reference to Mike Tyson’s one-man show (and Mike Tyson) during Neil Patrick Harris’s big opening number. Here’s what you need to know: Mike Tyson is not great with choreography, but he’s trying, bless his heart. I’ve included the song below with a helpful jump edit to Tyson’s cameo, but feel free to rewind and watch the entire thing if that’s your bag. The New 'White House Down' Trailer Is Four Minutes Of Awesomeness (1 photo + 1 video)

Late last night, as I was watching the Tony Awards… wait, no. I was doing 1,000 pushups, and Vince emailed me this brief message: “A 4 minute trailer? The f*ck?” He was speaking, of course, of the newest trailer for Roland Emmerich’s White House Down, which stars Channing Tatum as Secret Agent Cole Baretta (or John Cale), a man who just wants a simple job with the Secret Service so he can make an honest living and raise his daughter. My response was, “Why wouldn’t there be a 4 minutes trailer?” This is, after all, the biggest movie of the year that we’re talking about right here. And what we know now that we already kind of knew before was that this is like Training Day and In the Line of Fire met Lethal Weapon at a pilates class, took it out for drinks and had a raunchy threeway with it on top of a pile of Die Hard DVDs. All set, of course, to Led Zeppelin. Sadly, it’s not Zepp with Diddy this time.

Sigh. After tonight, it's over, at least for another nine months, when Game of Thrones will return for season four and make our lives meaningful again in a post-Breaking Bad world. Production begins next month, according to star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, presumably in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where so much of the show is shot. I, for one, am not ready for season three to be over with, because until it's back, the only Game of Thrones we're going to have in our lives, besides compulsively rewatching "The Rains of Castamere" and reading the books for a seventh time, is references to it in other TV shows, like Andy and Andy's "Places to Live" list.
