Now we all know the Cosplay can be a lot of fun (although sometimes for all the wrong reasons) and like many kids Herbert Chavez was raised on a stable diet of comic books, TV shows and movies. But for him, one character stood tall above them all – the one and only Man Of Steel, Superman. Now aged 36, it’s safe to say that Herbert Chavez is the world’s biggest Superman fan. Period.
She’s entering court-ordered rehab any day now and Lindsay Lohan is hardly keeping a low profile. The troubled starlet showed off a number of large angry bruises on her legs as she sunbathed on a Brazilian beach on Tuesday, wearing a bright blue bikini. Instead of covering up the huge marks, she decided to strip down on the public beach where she was spending the day on her own.
A hilarious compilation of things, all video gamers totally can relate to...)
If you’re anything like me, you’re counting the seconds between now and Sunday’s long-awaited premiere of ‘Game of Thrones‘ third season, wondering what will become of our mutual favorite characters and anticipating more gore, sex and brutal battle! In prepping for our personal ‘GOT’ viewing parties, we’ve already laid out our most comfortable pjs, and threatened friends and family with death by Theon Greyjoy-styled sword-wielding (cringe-inducing yet effective!) if they interrupt our viewing experience. But when it came time to choose the optimal snacks for this joyous event we came to the shocking realization that there’s nothing here or in the seven kingdoms that suits our sweet tooth and enthusiasm. So, consider these possible ‘Game of Thrones’-themed flavors our plea for Ben & Jerry’s to get on that toot sweet!

Parting is such sweet sorrow, especially when you’re saying goodbye to your teeth. In a video that is bound to haunt Abbie Kritz for the rest of her life, the Kansas teen — under medication, of course — cries hysterically while she bemoans losing her wisdom teeth on the way home from the procedure. Kritz, who was in a car with her boyfriend and mother, was distraught that her teeth were taken from her and came out with several pearls of, well, wisdom to her wisdom teeth in order to express her eternal love for her choppers. Among the dandy lines she came up with are: “I did it against my own will, I would have kept you.” “I loved you from the first moment on.” “They were just trying to help me chew and I didn’t accept them. I could have accepted them.” “They just wanted to be a part of my body and I said ‘No, get out.’ I didn’t meant it. You can come back if you want.” Oh, the pain of letting go of something you love. We’re sure Abbie will get over the breakup with her teeth, especially now that she’s become the star of another great dentist video.

As it has in years past, Google revealed a series of practical jokes on April 1st such as Gmail Blue and Google Nose (like scratch & sniff, but not as funny). But perhaps its most significant reveal was the news that Google Plus, its much-maligned social network, was just one long practical joke. “We’re surprised anyone every actually used it,” said Google CEO Larry Page. “Circles? Hangouts? We can’t believe anyone ever fell for that.” Google Plus launched in June of 2011, making it Google’s most elaborate practical joke to date. “Every year we launch some obviously fake prank on April Fool’s Day. With Google Plus, we were in it for the long con,” said developer Mike Shirey. The use of profiles and streams led many users, such as our totally in-the-know 11-year-old nephew Cameron, to refer to Google Plus as “a poor man’s Facebook” and “totally lameballs” (Cameron’s words).
If you’re anything like us, you probably have no idea what day it is. Well, it’s Monday, April 1st. Yes, it’s April Fool’s Day, which means that Google is planning to pull the wool over our eyes all day long. Here are some of the pranks they’re pulling, in case you are super-gullible.
As part of their April Fool’s Day tradition, Google is running a pretty great prank on YouTube, right now. They are listing the nominees for the best of YouTube before it “shuts down.” Every video is nominated. They are listing every video on YouTube and reading their descriptions. We really hope they follow through and do this for the next ten years, as they have promised.
Even the White House managed to get into the spirit of things on this April Fool’s Day. In honor of the holiday, the White House released a video of the “Kid President,” featuring a pint-sized tot at the podium. You might recognize nine-year-old Robby Novak from his hit Web series ‘Kid President‘ where he’s, well, a pint-sized version of our Commander-in-Chief. In this officially White House sanctioned video, he greets his constituent by saying, “It looks like you were expecting somebody else. Well April Fools’ on all y’all.” He also added, “I’m Kid President and I hope everyone has an awesome day!” Then, after his words of amusement, Kid President walks out, but not before having some trouble getting out of the room. Is Kid President your favorite April Fool’s Day prank?
This is the kind of prank we like. Nobody gets hurt, and it didn’t happen to us. This dad pranks his kid so well, and truthfully, we didn’t even see it coming even though we knew it was a prank. Well done, sir. We’re glad you’re not our dad.

And often? The mistakes enter pop culture lore and live there in perpetuity. On this list, you’ll see some of the biggest style derps, blunders and overall fails in recent memory. Join us as we stroll down this bumpy Memory Lane, won’t you?
April Fool’s Day is today, and what better way to celebrate the day that it’s totally cool to wrap a toilet in cellophane than to go through some of the best celebrity pranks throughout the ages? Of course, by “ages,” we mean anything within the new millennium. Whether they’re perpetrated on the first of April, done to add a spark of fun to a hoity toity red carpet, or executed merely for comedic purposes, pranks have been a traditional part of human culture since the 1300s. At least according to Geoffrey Chaucer and his unfinished ‘Canterbury Tales.’ (Fred Flintstone would probably disagree, though.) Anyway, check out our list to see a lot of prankster celebs and their unwitting victims.
Happy April Fool's day everyone! Be careful not to get fooled today. Watch out for these classic pranks.
When it comes to graphic design, the 1920′s and 1930′s serve as fascinating zeitgeist in Japanese culture. The surging influence of the Western culture in different mediums – cinema, magazines and TV, started to be adopted & reconfigured by Japanese artists. These evolving art forms reflected Japan’s socio-economic transformation, the rise of its industry and technology sectors and even a shift in political thinking, from right to the more social aware left. Those internal influences, combined with that of from the West, had a significant impact on traditional Japanese graphic design. Suddenly it started to becoming bolder, brighter, less stark, more colorful and it’s imagery more impactful & striking. The fascinating evolution of Japanese graphic design in the 1920-1930′s was a direct reflection the bubbling melting pot of influences & issues occurring within the country itself. Below are a few highlights during that decade of change, you can find out more about the evolution of Japanese graphic design by getting yourself a copy of Modernism on Paper: Japanese Graphic Design of the 1920s-30s from which these are taken. When you are makeing a horror film having a catchy title is critical to advertising. You look to make a title that will instantly shock and put fear into the audience. It’s that uniqueness that sets Karl Lagerfeld apart from many of the modern day fashion designers. The famous German artist and photographer is best known as his role as head designer / creative director for the iconic fashion brand Chanel. But he’s also not one to rest on his laurels, he has his own fashion house, as well as the Italian house Fendi. An individual with unquestionable talent and unquestionably in-demand. He’s also quite the controversial character, PETA targeted him for his use of fur in fashion by throwing food at him. He called Victoria’s Secret supermodel Heidi Klum “No runway model. She is simply too heavy and has too big a bust. She is more bling bling and glamorous than current fashion.” and even caused Vogue magazine to walk out from his runway show when he employed strippers and adult film star Moana Pozzi to model his designs. And recently when talking about Grammy award-winning singer Adele he stated “She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” Here’s a few other controversial views from the man himself. On weight: “No one wants to see curvy women. You’ve got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying thin models are ugly. Fashion is about dreams and illusions.” Source: Focus magazine On vanity: “Life is not a beauty contest, some [ugly people] are great. What I hate is nasty, ugly people… the worst is ugly, short men. Women can be short, but for men it is impossible. It is something that they will not forgive in life… they are mean and they want to kill you.” Source: Vogue, April 2003 On sex: “I personally only like high-class escorts. I don’t like sleeping with people I really love. I don’t want to sleep with them because sex cannot last, but affection can last forever. I think this is healthy. And for the way the rich live, this is possible.” Source: Vice magazine Now whilst you may or may not agree with his views, one thing is for certain, you simply cannot deny his talent, presence and character – in this rather odd (yet fascinating video) Lagerfeld actually interviews himself, about himself. It makes for surreal viewing finding out what makes him tick, his outlook on fashion and art and more. Enjoy.
Most of us have had the traumatic experience of our parents fishing out those embarrassing baby photos (Ed – unless your dad happens to be Jason Lee) and showcasing them to a cast of relatives and friends, your bad fashion sense & even worst haircut are all proudly on display. Not so for Henry Hulin, who’s going to be able to sit at that table grinning from ear to ear as his mum Rachel Hulin shows off countless images of him FLYING as a baby. Could he be the world’s smallest superhero? Probably.
