We’re pretty sure Nikola Jovanovic’s name is the international phrase for “Uh, yes please.” This sexy Serbian model is taking over the fashion world, and he’ll be taking over as your new desktop wallpaper after you check him out. Nikola hails from Belgrade, Serbia. He’s worked quietly for a few years, but then in 2011 he landed a Gucci campaign and quickly lined up runway and campaign work for clients like Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Giorgio Armani — all within a short year. He’s signed on with agencies in every major fashion city around the world, too. What I'm saying is Nikola is kind of a big deal now, guys. This beautiful model is also pretty active on Twitter, and his tweets are always really cheerful and grateful with posts about how beautiful the day is in Milan, or how happy he is, and photos of himself smiling even though he says it makes him look like an idiot. (Psst, Nikola, this is not even true. You look amazing when you smile. Or when you frown. Or when you do anything. I don’t think you could ever look bad if you tried.)
It is apparently increasingly difficult to show devotion when you’re a 30 Seconds to Mars fan. When pushed for the strangest thing he’d ever received from a passionate Letohead — it’s a thing — he gave an answer no one expected. Or, you know, wanted. “Someone cut their ear off once and sent it to me, that was very strange. A whole ear. The Van Gogh move,” he said. “The note just said, ‘Are you listening?’ I never knew who it was, who’s missing their ear out there.” Even more strange, is what Jared did with it: “I poked a hole in it and wore it as a necklace!” As you do. XFM said he was joking — but Leto apparently doesn’t mince words like his fans mince body parts, so he photographed the nasty necklace and posted it to Instagram like some sort of bizarre proof-of-life attached to a ransom note. Dude. Sometimes it’s okay to just let people use their imaginations.
What would it be like if you fell asleep one night and, even though you tried with all your might, you just can't wake up? London-based photographer Simon Cheung visually expresses this idea in this set of surreal self-portraits. Cheung took up photography as a creative medium only last year, in April 2012, when he bought his very first DSLR. Inspired by My Modern Met favorites Alex Stoddard and Tim Walker, Cheung embarked on his own photographic journey.
Based in Portoscuso, Italian photographer Alberto Seveso's work has recently become quite the hot commodity for musicians. This series includes many of the unused shots that were taken during these coveted photo shoots.

The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is a protected UNESCO world heritage site, but this park doesn’t need any tollbooths, rangers or even a tall, spiked fence. Why? Because it’s literally nothing but spiked fence. Tsingy is a 250-square-mile tiger trap made up of massive limestone obelisks riddled with jagged spears.
Their little girl is growing up fast. And it looked like Pink and her husband were beginning to feel the strain on Tuesday. The singer – whose real name is Alecia Moore – was spotted out in New York City with 21-month-old Willow Sage and struggled to carry the little girl for too long. The 33-year-old stepped out of a car with her 37-year-old spouse Carey Hart but handed over their daughter soon after they got walking along the street.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based illustrator Tang Yau Hoong has just released a brand new series where he pairs one of his illustrations with a famous quote. A few years ago, we discovered Hoong and we quickly became fans after we saw his ability to cleverly incorporate negative space into many of his works. As he told us then, "I enjoy making illusion art because it has the ability to mislead us. We rely on sight in our lives and yet it is so fragile that we could easily be deceived by what we see."
Call it skill, luck or just being at the right place at the right time. Chris McLennan is an international award winning travel and adventure photographer who's captured some truly amazing photos of great white sharks breaching. The ocean around Seal Island, in False Bay, South Africa, is the only place in the world where the sharks breach when they hunt their prey, which in this case is the Cape Fur seal. According to National Geographic, full breaches, like the one shown above, are rare because they take up so much energy. South Africa's waters are full of baby seals so sharks have learned to attack from below with incredible speeds, which propels them out of the water as they snap up their next meal.
The entire field was roaring and applauding as the boy hit the ball and took his base. The joy on his face was almost indescribable. This handicap boy couldnt have been happier to be on the field. Unbelievable!

He’s a battle-tested, decorated army sergeant who risked his life to protect our country. But it’s a more personal risk he took that’s getting a lot of attention. Staff Sgt. Jesse Knott rescued his cat, Koshka, while serving in Afghanistan. “He was showing some signs that people weren’t taking very good care of him,” Staff Sgt. Knotts said.
There are few things worse for the tech fan of the 21st century than a smartphone running out of juice while out and about. Even newer smartphones start flagging after four or five hours of constant web surfing or video watching, meaning that remembering to pack a charging cable is, for some, almost as vital as the device itself. Thankfully, dozens of electronics makers have responded to this problem by launching pocket-sized mobile batteries that can provide smartphones with a full charge simply by plugging in a cable, keeping users playing games and posting OMFG and LOLZ comments all day long without fear of their gadget falling asleep on them.
Do you recognise this woman? She is very famous, you know her for sure...

Vocals on EDM can be tricky; when they're done well ("Clarity," "Sweet Nothing"), you've got an entirely new dynamic added to a dance track. When done not so well... you kind of wish the producer and the singer would just die in a fire. One thing that'll be inevitable once more major labels start digging their heels into EDM is the dreaded collaboration, where an established singer will try to get some appeal by using EDM artists to spice them up. A lot of them just don't sound right... There are some singers who could make the grade; singers who, if dedicated to an entire EDM project, could really turn these tracks into something special. A number of these artists have already dealt with EDM producers before, or have voices/styles that fit well within the vast dance music scene. Some might be obvious choices, others might be more left field, but we feel that this batch of singers could (and should) make some beautiful electronic dance music, if paired with the right producers.
Be careful drinking and buying. Dwayne Matthews of Willenhall, England, awoke to see one of his drunken purchases, a 30-pound rock python named Bruce, "rearing up with its jaws open" above his sleeping friend — generally not something you want to see while nursing an English-grade hangover. Apparently he had purchased the snake the night before from a gypsy. Luckily Matthews awoke just in time to see the snake and promptly threw a blanket over it and put it in an aquarium. He then brought the snake to a local pet shop. He was then promptly arrested for buying stolen goods.
Gucci Mane is in trouble with the law again after an incident that took place last Friday at the Harlem Nights club in Atlanta. According to Atlanta’s WSBTV.com, a soldier who has served in Afghanistan was celebrating his birthday at the club and says that he wanted to take a picture with Gucci. He claims that he said to a security guard, ”I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?” Next he recalls, “I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle. And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face.” The man went to the hospital and needed 10 stitches. He claims that he also suffered a concussion. Jeff Cantin of the Atlanta Police Department confirmed that Gucci—real name: Radric Davis—is a wanted man: “We do have an active warrant for Mr. Davis for aggravated assault. So I’m sure after he sees this, I’m sure he’ll want to reach out and contact us.” The soldier added, “He could have possibly killed me. I just hope and pray that I recover pretty well because I still want to serve my military career.” Gucci Mane has not commented on the incident to give his side of the story. wsbtv.com
These days, new names for genres pop up every day, and with good reason—despite what old-timey snobs say about music today, there’s a lot of new sounds being played with and no shortage of experimentation that makes it hard to classify with the good old words we’ve been using for decades. That being said, sometimes it gets taken too far. With so many variations of dubstep being invented, the everything-”step” names keep coming. I'm calling out some of the most unnecessary, and silly names ending in "step" today. Just stop step!
Josie Cunningham was not happy with her 32A Breasts. She was so unhappy that somehow she managed to convince the National Health Service board to approve an operation to enhance her beasts to 36DD's. Which meant she did not have to pay a dime of the $7,279 operation and the British taxpayers did. She stated her formerly flat chest made her emotionally distressed. She went on to say "I want money and fame." and "My new boobs can make it all happen". The taxpayers felt duped on this one. The NHS is for people with serious medical needs not wannabe career models. Josie got away with one here.

The Irish town of Kilgarvan passed a motion this winter calling for some members of its community to be allowed to drink and drive. This motion was proposed by local pub owner / Politician Danny Healy-Rae. The motion would all for the minister of justice to allow police to decide whether to issue permits to people who live in country areas to be allowed to drink two or three drinks before they drive home. Healy-Rae said the motion would preserve pub culture and lower the risk of suicide based on attack isolation in small towns. The Alcohol safety organizations slammed the proposed plan. Healy-Rae responded to all the backlash and says it isn't supposed to apply to everyone, mainly the old people who live far out in the country side. He claims "What else are they supposed to do with no public transportation, stay home lonely and stare at the walls?" Some local politicians are still shocked the motion passed.
You might have seen those rather funny retro furniture catalogs from the 1950’s at various garage sales and charity shops. A funny reminder of times gone by, when all people worried about was whether the sofa set would match the lampshade. But visual artist Nadine Boughton is adding her own twist to these inspirational images of yesteryear, by adding in illustrations from numerous adventure stories also from the same era. As the overall aesthetic and even fading of the both the books and illustrations is similar, the end result is a collage that looks startlingly real. We reckon she must have a great deal of fun creating these works, starting off with a sense of tranquility and calm, before adding in some god-forsaken monster or wild animal into the scene! Below are several examples of her work, but ?id=26566make sure you check out the full series via her official site. http://nadineboughton.com/index.html
