Dad Takes Photos Of Himself And His Daughter Sitting On The Couch Since 2007

Like a fine wine, some people only get better with age. Part of it has to do with genetics, but a large portion depends on your lifestyle. And a perfect example of looking better and better with time is Dr. Alec Couros, a professor of educational technology and media at the University of Regina in Canada.

How Much Time You Spend In Your Lifetime Doing Normal Activities

Every single day, you do the same things over and over, whether you realize it or not. We are all creatures of habit, one way or another. But have you ever really
thought about how much time you spend on your routine?
You dedicate way more time to brushing your teeth and hair than you’d ever imagine. After you read this, you might never wonder again, “Where did the time go?” You’ll know.

London to Brighton Train Journey: 1953, 1983, 2013

Back in 1953 the BBC made a time-lapse of a train trip between London and Brighton. They recreated the film 30 years later, in 1983. Fast forward 30 years to 2013 and they’ve done it again. You can see all three time-lapses—spanning 60 years—in this side by side video.

This Photographer Took One Family’s Photo In The Same Way Each Year For 23 Years

“In 1991, the wife of a friend was nine months pregnant, and I had an idea…to photograph them together, on the same day every year, forever…. Every year, at the same time, against the same backdrop, under the same lighting. This way there are no distractions, only the miracle of growth and the changes of time and age.” – Zed Nelson, photographer of “The Family” project.
