In September 2018, Dean Nicholson had one goal – to cycle across the globe solo – and he began his long journey riding from his hometown Dunbar, Scotland. The 31-year-old Scottish traveler was tired from his nine-to-five job as a welder so he wanted to change his lifestyle and see the world from a bicycle seat. When he was crossing the Bosnian border into Montenegro, his plans had to change a little bit.

I recently explored a part of Kyrgyzstan that was very much undiscovered. For 6 days I explored the south shore of Issyk Kul lake (one of the biggest lakes in the world). This trip was focused on the Canyons on the shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Kyrgyzstan has so much to offer and I am already looking forward to going back in June. For now, please enjoy this unique canyon series that consists for the most part of drone imaginary, abstracts and night photography.

Meeting people from different backgrounds and understanding that you're different and the same at the same time really broadens your horizons. This UK-based Polish photographer has traveled to India with a camera in her hand and took quite a few portraits of the locals. And they're so powerful, you can almost feel the emotions the subjects were going through at the time.

We’ve all heard about the mind-boggling events happening in Syria over the last 10 years. The rebels and the army advancing on each other’s positions. The terrorist attacks. The airstrikes. The millions of refugees escaping the country whatever way they can. The destroyed cities and much more. For years that was all, it was – thoughts. However, recently I finally got the chance to get inside of Syria and see it all first hand.

Bloemencorso Zundert is the biggest event of the year for the small town of Zundert, the Netherlands, and incidentally, the largest flower parade in the world. People look forward to it for months, and in summer they spend weeks and weeks preparing for it. Huge floats are made of wire, cardboard and papier-mâché and entirely covered in dahlias in intricate designs. The dahlias for grown specifically for the parade, and thousands of them are required just to cover one float. The floats are made by twenty different hamlets and each of them consists of hundreds of builders, aged 1 to 100, who are all equally crazy about the bloemencorso. The older members of the hamlet are often responsible for planting and growing the dahlias, while the younger ones build the float in large temporary tents that are built exclusively for the event.

Paris is recognised throughout Europe and most of the world, as a city famous for love and it’s passion for art and theatre. So what better place for gifted photographer Franck Bohbot to create his series ‘Theaters’. In it he takes you deep inside some of the most majestic and opulent theatres and galleries in Paris, to admire their beautiful designs and architecture.
It’s a sight few if any get to see. Normally each theatre is awash with the movement & endless chatter of hundreds of patrons or plunged into total darkness during a performance. Frank’s imagines, are as beautiful as they are unique – it’s not everyday you have an entire Parisian theatre all to yourself.

You’re probably familiar with the phrase “One man’s trash is another man’s gold” and there’s few better examples of that than the work of visual artist Francisco de Pajaro.
Much like Clet Abraham who has fun hijacking Europe’s street signs, Francisco likes to bring a bit of life, vitality and humour to our sterile urban environments. In a recently interview with James Buxton of Global Street Art he stated that:
You’re probably familiar with the phrase “One man’s trash is another man’s gold” and there’s few better examples of that than the work of visual artist Francisco de Pajaro.
The Chinese language is a fascinating and expansive beast.
The general rule is that if you recognize around 200 characters, that will allow you to understand around 40% of what you see – from menus, to street signs, through to newspapers and television commercials. That’s enough for most tourists to travel around the country quite easily. If you want to get lost in a chunky novel, you’re going to need to be familiar with around 1000 different characters. And finally, if you’re planning on being an astrophysicist in China, you’re going to have to broaden your range to around 20,000 characters.

When it comes to tourism, many countries highlight their unique landmarks (Sydney Opera House in Australia, The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy) or cultural celebrations (or the Rio Carnival in Brazil & Running Of The Bulls in Spain) as a reason to visit. But Nantes, the 6th largest city in France has an entirely different proposition to lure tourists to their region.
Tucked inside several warehouses that were formerly used as shipyards, sits an exhibition titled ‘Machines of the Isle‘ (or if you’re a local Les Machines de l’Île de Nantes) that will genuinely blow your mind. Since it’s inception in 2007 it has captured the imagination of thousands of tourists visiting the area.
But what is it exactly?

Kowloon Walled City was a densely populated, largely ungoverned settlement in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Originally a Chinese military fort, the Walled City became an enclave after the New Territories were leased to Britain in 1898. Its population increased dramatically following the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong during World War II. In 1987, the Walled City contained 33,000 residents within its 6.5-acre (0.026 km2; 0.0102 sq mi) borders. From the 1950s to the 1970s, it was controlled by Triads and had high rates of prostitution, gambling, and drug use. In January 1987, the Hong Kong government announced plans to demolish the Walled City. After an arduous eviction process, demolition began in March 1993 and was completed in April 1994. Kowloon Walled City Park opened in December 1995 and occupies the area of the former Walled City. Some historical artifacts from the Walled City, including its yamen building and remnants of its South Gate, have been preserved there.

We've seen photos of German sex boxes about three years ago. This time the authorities of the Swiss city of Zurich placed the sex boxes in their city. A prostitute must pay about $5.40 a day to use these boxes. The couple must stay inside the car during the whole process. The boxes are opened from 5pm till 5am.
