Sunday marks YouTube's eighth birthday, and by the company's own measure things have been going pretty steadily since 2005, when it launched. According to a blog on the company's site, YouTube sees more than 100 million videos uploaded to its site every minute, or more than four days worth of clips. More than 1 billion people visit the site for news, and more than millions of partners worldwide churn out content for YouTube. Among some highlights mentioned in the post are Psy's record-breaking views for the videos "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," plus Sesame Street going global with 1 billion views. No mention of being acquired in 2006 by search giant Google, which was company's biggest purchase to date—$1.65 billion in stock. https://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2013/05/heres-to-eight-great-years.html?m=1
Tonight at the Billboard Music Awards, Miguel decided to get a jump start on his WWE career by doing the Hogan leg drop on some poor girl. While singing his hit song "Adorn" he attempted to go from one stage to another by jumping over a crowd of people, but he ended up landing on a girl reportedly named Khyati. Khyati was alright, and Miguel was seen with her backstage (shorty was holding down an icepack though) but you know Miguel's life is never going to be the same because 38 seconds after it happened the collective Internet screamed, "LIKE WE ALWAYS DO IT THIS TIME!," got on Photoshop, and started making memes. Click ahead to see the The 10 Best Miguel Leg Drop Memes. We just hope Miguel has his lawyer on speed dial...

You don‘t even have to love coffee in order to appreciate these super creative latte foam artworks by Japanese artist Kazuki Yamamoto. And we‘re not talking about the little smiley faces or flat palm tree patterns: this 26-year old latte artist, based in Osaka, creates actual 3D foam sculptures in the coffee mugs of the Cafe10g visitors. This thinking outside the box – or, rather – outside the cup – even gave Kazuki the idea to make the coffee foam climb out of one cup and reach for another. That way you might be served with a cup of coffee where a cat is trying to get into another one next to it, where tiny fish are swimming.
A compilation of facinating behind-the-scenes photos from different movies. Very interesting post for those, who loves movie industry. These pictures show the process of making movies from inside.
The SS Ayrfield is one of many decommissioned ships in the Homebush Bay, just west of Sydney, but what separates it from the other stranded vessels is the incredible foliage that adorns the rusted hull. The beautiful spectacle, also referred to as The Floating Forest, adds a bit of life to the area, which happens to be a sort of ship graveyard. Originally launched as the SS Corrimal, the massive 1,140-tonne steel beast was built in 1911 in the UK and registered in Sydney in 1912 as a steam collier which was later used to transport supplies to American troops stationed in the Pacific region during World War II. The ship went on to serve as a collier between Newcastle and Miller's terminal in Blackwattle Bay.

Billboards can be extremely creative and fun. Sports billboards are often some of the most interesting billboards. The best ones usually come courtesy of the sports fans themselves. These are the best sports billboards ever!
Sometimes preachers have great intentions but what they put on the church signs just comes off as down right dirty. These suggestive signs are not something you would expect from a church and are very inappropriate. These are some hilarious unintentionally dirty church signs.

Forget all the awards she won at the Billboard Music Awards last night — the trophy for Best Reaction to Justin Bieber Trying to Kiss Selena Gomez goes to Taylor Swift! That’s the award that matters, as far as we’re concerned. Clearly Swift can recognize a creepster when she sees one, and the way Bieber goes in for a kiss with Gomez definitely earns this response, as far as we’re concerned. Or maybe she saw his pants. Either way, priceless.
The guy holding the rooster is a real chicken. This 2008 clip of a British reporter is enjoying a second life because, well, just watch for yourself and you’ll see why. Not only does this fella scream, but he also books it like he’s running the 40-yard dash. Intrepid reporter? We think not.
This past weekend J.J. Abrams unleashed the second entry in his rebooted ‘Star Trek’ franchise, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ With Kirk, Spock, Uhura and company back in theaters, we’ve been giddily revisiting all things Enterprise, and we realized there is one thing this reboot demands more of: George Takei. Like swashbuckling Sulu wouldn’t have improved things by 100%. Takei has emerged as a major force in social networking, political activism and general interwebs awesomeness. And we just can’t get enough. Just imagine what ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ would look like with Takei playing every character. We did. Oh my! All photos by Kristy Puchko
As you may have heard if you logged on to the Interwebs today, Yahoo bought Tumblr for $1.1 billion, and immediately freaked out basically everyone on Tumblr. Didn’t Yahoo realize that they’re dealing with a community of unemployed millennials who have nothing to do with their time but make GIFs and memes? Because that’s what happened. Here’s how Tumblr is reacting to becoming part of the Yahoo community.

It seems ABC has got some major competition on their hands with the launch of ‘The Baby Bachelor.’ On a recent episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ Jimmy debuted his new reality series, which stars his nephew Wesley, who yearns for a bride and a fire truck because he’s still a toddler. Much like the original ‘Bachelor‘ series, ‘The Baby Bachelor’ will have his pick from an array of possible brides, who are searching for either their soulmate or just a sugar daddy (or possibly an actual daddy). We don’t know about you, but we think everyone agrees with Wesley — we’d all like to get the big girl. Who will stay and who will go “bye-bye”? Stay tuned for more!
If all villains look this sexy, then maybe we need to reassess our stance on supporting heroes. Meet Benedict Cumberbatch, the super sexy bad guy from ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ Benedict has a very important role in the film: Aside from being one of many pieces of eye candy in the sequel, he’s also the film’s main villain, a terrorist by the name of John Harrison. But he’s so much more than that, especially for fans of the older ‘Star Trek’ movies and the TV show. (You’ll see what I mean when the movie hits theaters this Friday. I don’t want to say much more for fear of spoiling you.) Cumberbatch is not only a really fun name to say, but a really fun guy to behold. The British actor has a distinct look, and if you’ve been checking out our Daily Swoon features for a while now, you’ll know that we’re suckers for guys with interesting faces. Models and athletes and muscle-bound actors can be great, sure, but man alive — there’s something about an actor who doesn’t quite fit the mold and is sexy for some not-so-obvious reasons. Anyway, Mr. Cumberbatch has been around for a while — you may have seen him in ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ or ‘Atonement,’ and he stars in the BBC miniseries ‘Sherlock’ as the legendary detective. But be sure to check him out this Friday when ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ hits theaters. You won’t want to miss him making turtlenecks look all sexy.
Damn it, Jim, he’s a doctor, not a tasty morsel! Oh wait, he’s both. Karl Urban‘s Dr. Bones character from ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ makes us think we should probably get more check-ups. ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ hits theaters today (officially, but you could have seen it as early as Wednesday night), so we conclude our look at the sexy men of ‘Star Trek’ with star Karl Urban, who plays eccentric character Bones, the Starship Enterprise’s head doctor, and one of the big heroes of the film. You may also recognize Urban from his role in last year’s action flick ‘Dredd,’ in which he played the lead character and sadly spent the entire film with a giant helmet covering his beautiful head. He’s also starred in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies, and lots of other action stuff like ‘Red’ and ‘Riddick.’ He’s like a total geek girl centerfold guy, really. Urban hails from New Zealand and participates in the charity KidsCan, which supplies food and necessities to over 16,000 New Zealand children. So, to recap, he’s sexy, he’s obviously into sci-fi and fantasy, and he’s into helping children. Surely he cannot be real.
We know you’re probably still recovering from Bill Hader‘s bittersweet farewell on ‘SNL‘ over the weekend, but this might help cheer you up: Hader gets goofy in the June issue of GQ, and it’s really cute. I know I’m going to miss Bill Hader on ‘SNL’ — I’m not going to lie, I cried during his final Stefon segment, and I know I’m not the only one. But I’m looking forward to whatever he does next, which is hopefully more movies and guest appearances on other TV shows. His spots on ‘The Mindy Project’ this season were great, for example, and if you haven’t checked him out in movies like ‘Adventureland’ and ‘Superbad,’ you should go ahead and do that. Hader is that special breed of guy that’s cuter because he’s so talented and funny. He’s quirky looking, for sure, but if you saw his stint on ‘The Mindy Project,’ you know he can totally play the part of dreamy guy (and then not-so-dreamy — opposite of dreamy, really — in that season finale). So while he’s gone from ‘SNL’ and will no longer fill our Saturday nights with joy, that doesn’t mean he can’t make our eyes happy with these adorable photos from his June GQ photo shoot.
Justin Bieber was about to have a moment at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last night (May 19) when he accepted the impressive Milestone Award at the tender age of 19 — but his acceptance of the coveted honor was marred by a chorus of boos and screams, the latter from his dedicated corps of Beliebers. Despite the outpuring of Belieber love, the vocal haters clearly knocked the normally confident and cocky teen off his game, as evidenced by his disjointed and responsorial speech. “I’m 19 years old,” he said, as if that were some sort of justification. “I think I’m doing a pretty good job.” No question there — but we weren’t the ones needing convincing. It sounded like the Biebs himself was on shaky ground. “From my heart, I really just want to say, it should be about the music, the craft that I’m making,” he declared from behind a pair of sunglasses. “This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist, and I should be taken seriously.” When you have to tell people you’re an artist and demand to be taken seriously, you know you have a real image problem. (Cue the late-night parodies.) After that “moment,” Biebs got to the thank yous: his “manager Scooter Braun, my family, my mom, Jesus Christ,” He also thanked fans and his siblings. For his part, awards host Tracy Morgan tried to put the haters in their place, scolding, “Don’t be booin’ nobody up in here. This ain’t the Apollo!”
After news of a fresh split between ‘Twilight’ stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson broke over the weekend, the world was on high Robsten alert — and today (May 20) he was spotted moving a bunch of his belongings and his two dogs out of K-Stew’s L.A. home. Pattinson was seen driving off with a suitcase, a bike, and two garbage bags full of items in the back of his truck, while his pooches Bear and Bernie rode along next to him in the cab. The duo are currently spending time apart in their separate homes after raising suspicion when Stewart and Pattinson spent his 27th birthday apart — Rob by having a private party that his not-yet-ex didn’t attend (or wasn’t allowed to, depending on which source you read), and Kristen by moping around with her friends. Insiders close to the couple say they wouldn’t be surprised if they got back together eventually (which, oddly, looks an awful lot like the pair when they’re not together at all). But time will tell.
‘Family Guy’ fans have nothing to go all giggety about today, as Seth Macfarlane announced on Twitter that he wouldn’t be returning to host the 2014 Oscars. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Seth took to Twitter to break the news, saying:
Sublime songstress Mary J. Blige has been hit with yet another tax lien — this one totaling $3.4 million for unpaid taxes in Bergen County, N.J. Sounds like even 2013 won’t offer her a break. According to sleuths, she owes the “IRS $574.907 from 2009, $2.2 million from 2010 and $647,604 from 2011.” This on top of her charity being sued and separate liens for just over $900K in back taxes she supposedly owes the state of New Jersey. Blige was also sued by Bank of America for not paying back a $500,000 loan or the interest. What’s more, she and her husband are the defendants in another lawsuit for defaulting on a $2.2 million loan back in November of 2012. Given this mess, one of two things must be true: Either Mary J. drowned kittens in orphans tears in a past life, or she simply doesn’t know how money works.
Last time we checked in on Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil, she had released a rap song, ‘It’s Tan Mom,’ to which the ‘Chelsea Lately’ staff couldn’t help but bust a move. Now the full song is out, and it’s worse than you thought. In the 3-minute video, Krentcil dances around in a leopard print dress (the flames of hell flickering behind her) and, unfortunately, a bikini and wig, slurring lyrics like: “Where do you want / I’ll give you a treat / To see my goodies brown / I wanna get get get get my tan on.” In between autotuned choruses about being outside birdwatching in lieu of in a tanning booth, she claims she’s “sexier than the teen mom” (presumably Farrah Abraham) and “hotter than the Octomom.” At one point she’s also in a bedroom being groped with multiple crosses affixed to the wall behind her, and towards the end of the video, an unidentified male pops up behind a podium and says, “Don’t judge me, don’t make a deal. Don’t make a deal because I am saying it to you. I’m saying it to you. Let it be the way it is.” We have no idea who he is or what he’s talking about, but he is in Tan Mom’s music video. (Sorry, dude. Consider yourself judged.) Thankfully, some merciful soul took pity on the masses and decided not to release this thing in high definition — a move worthy of a ticker tape parade.
Gwen Maxwell of Sun City West, Arizona, found a coyote puppy that suffered after an almost deadly encounter with a cholla cactus. People could save the animal.
Not all of the girls are naturally beautiful. For some of them looking beautiful is a very hard work. This is how this work looks like. Most of the girls do that every single day)
