Stacked Lamp
16 jun 2015 14:33
This stacked lamp was inspired by a very expensive designer lamp I found online (it was 650 euros), I decided to make my own using free software, then printing the cutting templates out on an office printer. I’ve included templates of this design, so you can make your own with the tutorial provided on Instructables.

15 Truths That Are Actually Stranger Than Fiction
15 jun 2015 13:08
The easy part about school is taking the facts the teacher tells you and regurgitating them come test time. But what about the facts you just can't believe? We're told to question everything, so it's no surprise that there are some things out there that just can't be real, no matter what anyone tells you. Somehow, these facts are true, proving once again you can't believe everything you read (but who wants to do all that research?)

15 signs your cat is a spy for the CIA
15 jun 2015 09:19
Let's just get down to business — cats are highly trained CIA agents. Sure, you might think your kitty is nothing but an adorably fluffy pet that gets you more attention on Instagram. But if you sheeple would open your eyes, you might recognize the work of a master spy who is inviting the government to keep a close, non-digital eye on American citizenry.

With broken screens, buttons or trashed cases as a result. By jokingly placing “text walking lanes”, they want to prevent smartphones from breaking.

My 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback Kaya is a professional at stealing food. It all started when she was a puppy and we caught her during a friend’s party attempting to eat a burrito that was still in the mouth of the person eating it. She quickly earned the nickname “scarf” for her ability to steal food when we aren’t watching, or at the very least when we are watching, to reach her giraffe like tongue out and lick whatever is within range. As a food photographer, Kaya has successfully stuck...

Many of us see animals as human beings’ equals, so it’s only natural that some photographers see them this way as well. Vincent Lagrange, a photographer in Antwerp, Belgium, captured the human side of animals by taking serious and dignified portraits of the sort that us humans like to take of each other. His photo series is called “Human Animal.” “I tried to photograph the animals as humans, depicting their emotion and human-like characteristics in a sombre way,” Lagrange told Yatzer. And...

This is what a typical day at the beach looked like in the 1920s…
05 jun 2015 14:27
Before the 1920s, women’s swimwear was unwieldy and burdensome…A typical swimsuit had multiple layers of wool clothing meant to hide all exposed skin, however impractical. But as the 1920s progressed so did women’s swimwear — necklines dropped and sleeves disappeared into a single article of form-fitting clothing that allowed for some exposure to the sunshine. Still, it was not uncommon to see police officers patrolling the beach with a tape measure for a surprise “modesty check.”
