Meet Toast, an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whose luxurious locks are always accompanied by her signature tiny tongue. She was rescued in 2011 from a puppy mill in North Carolina and adopted by her owners in New York City. Luckily, she found a forever home with them but had to get all of her rotten teeth removed; it's why we see her tongue in every photo.

Three days and several tests later, there were no answers, only for it the issue to happen again days later. Emerson was put on anti-seizure medication. With this unfortunate event, Adrian was reminded of how mortal we all are, including our children. Adrian felt compelled to record his family through photography.

Nina Röder’s photography project Mutters Schuhe (Mother’s Shoes) depicts herself, mother and grandmother wearing the same outfit, in the same pose, in the same setting. All three sets are ‘based on pivotal moments or memories from Röder’s mother’s life’. For instance, the clothes that they are wearing belonged to her mum and ‘reference moments like Röder’s mother’s prom night and her life as a hairdresser’.
