Official Comedy uploaded the below video last Wednesday — the day of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia premiere — and I somehow indefensibly didn’t get around to watching it until today. I blame Rum Ham. But now that I have viewed it many, many times I can safely say it is incredible and belongs in a museum and fully endorse the show itself swapping it in for an episode. I mean, the graphics work alone. Just splendid. If you need me I’ll be turning a screengrab of Mac & Charlie at the Flyers game into my desktop wallpaper.

I’ve often thought Disneyland seems like a great place for terrifying acid trip, and that was only on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. I’ve never been to DisneyWorld, but the fact that it’s in Florida makes me feel confident in assuming that it’s a hall of horrors. That Disney parks are creepy seems to have been the inspiration for Randy Moore’s Escape from Tomorrow, a “surrealistic, genre-defying” thriller shot guerrilla-style inside Disneyland and Disneyworld. It’s set to hit theaters and VOD on October 11th, assuming Disney’s lawyers don’t have Moore sent to Mouschwitz before then. Disney is the nefarious monolith that gave us Miley Cyrus and history’s wussiest generation of American actors, I wouldn’t put anything past them. Incidentally, the Disney equivalent of the Aryan ideal is Zac Efron.

As the saga of Miley Cyrus’ strange obsession with twerking and becoming a hip hop star continues into what feels like its 100th year, not a lot of people have been asking perhaps the most important and interesting question: What does Billy Ray Cyrus think of all of this? According to Miley, dad couldn’t be happier and told her that he loved the whole foam finger, simulated doggystyle sex performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs last month, but that’s like me saying that my parents are proud of me for being a blogger. Singer Lionel Richie has a feeling that he knows what Billy Ray is going through, because his own daughter, Nicole Richie, was once a wild reality TV starlet and also a drug addict, but she has gone on to become a fashion icon and role model to all of the girls that she and Paris Hilton brainwashed for years. AMC’s neon shirt budget just skyrocketed, ’cause the Saul Goodman Breaking Bad spinoff is ON. After several weeks of negotiations, the basic cable network has inked a licensing agreement with Sony for the series’ next iteration. “As conceived, the new series is based on the show’s popular Saul Goodman character with the working title Better Call Saul,” the studio and network confirmed in a joint statement, adding: “plans call for Saul to be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character [played by Bob Odenkirk] before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer.” The series will star Odenkirk, with writer/producer Peter Gould set to run the series as it was Gould who created the character back in season. Bad creator Vince Gilligan will remain involved, and noted in late July that it was his “fervent wish” that the spinoff would move forward. Had talks with AMC fallen through, there were several other distributors, including Netflix, that were set to pounce with rich offers. Like Bad, the series will be produced by Sony, where Gilligan spent several years under an overall deal. The showrunner has not yet re-upped, and has fast become the most in-demand showrunner in town. The news comes as Bad is set to ends its run in less than a month. I was going to include All is Bright in this week’s Pulitzer-worthy streaming and video on demand post, because it hits VOD tomorrow and I admittedly thought it looked like a typical, hokey Christmas movie, based on the typical, hokey promotional image. But the newest trailer for All is Bright reveals that it’s not all that hokey and typical, as much as it looks like a sweet, silly story of a scumbag dad trying to find a little redemption in the holiday season. Paul Giamatti stars as the aforementioned scumbag dad, and when he’s released from prison, he realizes that finding a regular job is pretty difficult in this crappy economy. Paul Rudd comes along and they decide to sell Christmas trees together in New York City, but it turns out to be harder than they expected, because they suck at it. Sort of like me and writing porn movies. Or simply writing.

Bruno Mars has been offered a much coveted opportunity to perform during the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and considering Beyonce‘s performance last year blacked out the entire stadium and reunited Destiny’s Child, he has some big shoes to fill. The NFL announced the news yesterday (September 8) on the show ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ just before the kick-off and teased that Mars would be making regular appearances throughout the football season to tell fans what he has in store. (Basically, it’s a giant ploy to get people who don’t watch football to watch football. Yeah, good luck with that.) “The Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year,” the NFL announced in a statistic-filled statement. “More than 110.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.” The 2014 Super Bowl game will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on February 2. Make sure to tune in for the halftime show, the commercials, the food and alcohol with family and friends and, least importantly, the football.

Good news world! You can officially stop talking about Miley Cyrus‘ VMAs performance and commence your chatter about her new music video ‘Wrecking Ball,’ which, as far as we can tell, is a how-to guide for getting a yeast infection. No, really. The teaser picture for the new single off ‘Bangerz’ was plenty of indication of what was to come as Cyrus did in fact ride a wrecking ball throughout the video, stuck to her all-white outfit scheme and lacked both pants and a bra the entire time. In the emotionally charged video, Cyrus cries, makes out with various instruments of destruction and even takes all her clothes off to writhe around on top of a giant wrecking ball. Which can’t be sanitary because that room is full of dust particles. Unless that’s a metaphor too.

She’s back! Former ‘SNL’ head writer, ‘Weekend Update’ hostess and Sarah Palin mimic extraordinaire Tina Fey will be back on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ if only for a night. Fey is slated to host the show’s season premiere on Sept. 28 with musical guests Arcade Fire. E! Online reports that following Fey’s triumphant return is none other than Miley Cyrus, who will turn in double duty as both host and musical guest on Oct. 5. Other guests on the long-running series include Bruce Willis as host with musical guest Katy Perry, as well as a rumored double-duty performance and hosting by none other than Lady Gaga. Considering how well Gaga’s video short with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake, ‘Three-Way,’ went, we bet the New York City native will get all the ‘Applause’ she deserves.

Lollyphile, the creators of Sriracha lollipops has created a new unexpected lollipop flavor: blue cheese. The whole thing started out as a joke and everyone at the company was scared to actually try them. But then on of their models tried it and ate the whole thing convincing the rest of the Lollyphile team to give it shot too. Turns out the combo of sharp cheese and sweet is actually pretty damn tasty. Kinda makes me wonder if I should have tried my nephew’s tuna/peanut butter/ice cream concoction. Sure, he vomited a LOT after eating it, but he also spun around 100 times afterwards so you never know.

Just how incredible are these photorealistic ballpoint pen drawings by artist Gareth Edwards? Using regular ballpoint pens and, in some cases, acrylic paint pen, the UK-based artist meticulously creates portraits of such famous celebrities as Audrey Hepburn, Walt Disney and Humphrey Bogart with Candy Toxton (from the film Knock on any Door (1949)).

After his popular series “Dancers Among Us,” photographer Jordan Matter broadened his gaze to include all serious athletes. His follow-up series, “Athletes Among Us,” takes a whimsical, sometimes silly, sometimes impressive look at men and women whose lives are centered on sports as they try to navigate the day-to-day world of normal people…

These bizarre, giant dog heads wearing chef hats were part of an interactive public art event that recently took place in the Bay area of California. The plastic dachshund sculptures formerly served as the mascots for the Doggie Diner, which closed in 1986 in San Francisco. Just recently, Polish artist Olek was invited to cover the strange figures with her signature crochet designs.

With a unique blend of artistic methods, Czech photographer Michal Macku has created a series of gripping manipulated images that painfully portray anxiety, self-loathing and despair. The technique used to create these images is called “gellage” (a combination of collage and gelatin). It involves transferring the photographs onto a transparent gelatin substance that can then be manipulated and reshaped physically. This allows Michal to introduce physical manipulations that would be difficult to reproduce in any other way, and because the gelatin transfers are manipulated by hand, each print is a unique work of art.

Belgian artist Wim Delvoye creates large-scale sculptures of vehicles typically found on construction sites, using an intricate lattice design. Inspired by Gothic architecture, the massive laser-cut Corten steel structures break the boundaries between constructing tools and resulting art. They appear to be one and the same, each truck mimicking a sort of mobile cathedral.
