Awhile back we posted a Star Trek bloopers compilation. Unfortunately that video was pulled, and we only have the GIFs below to remember them by. But on the bright side, Paramount has released a new blooper reel to promote the first Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s fourth season. The Blu-ray is out tomorrow if you want to mount your furniture Riker-style and re-watch it. We get to peek at a few scenes going off the rails, and it’s great to see Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn and company having a little fun back in the day. Considering how melodramatic the show could get at times, these clips are all the more surreal. [Blastr via The Mary Sue] Stay tuned all the way to the end to see our favorite part, Jonathan Frakes getting the church giggles

A former comedian turned counselor JC Shakespeare uploaded a video to YouTube this weekend. In it, he and three other performers — including a 19-year-old Patton Oswalt — do stand-up as part of an infomercial on student loans in 1990. Shakespeare says, “This was my first paid gig as an actor, and perhaps it was for Patton as well. Patton had the tenacity and persistence to work his butt off (I didn’t), and I have immense respect for how far his talent and hard work have taken him.” Oswalt quickly confirmed what we could already tell: it was him. In a snazzy sweater vest, no less. He adds that it was his first acting gig, for which he was paid $300.

French illustrator Grégoire Guillemin has taken his love of superheros and added a bold new twist to the art form. Rather than showcasing them in the midst of battle or fusing supervillains with their modern-day equivalents or even perhaps incorporating them into historical artworks, he’s simply decided to reveal their intimate and private lives. His illustrative series titled ‘Secret Life of Heroes’literally pops out of the screen at you, not only because of his bold colour set but also because of the illustrations themselves… Batman and Robin get it on, Snow White kicks back with a cigarette, Wonder Woman seductively sucks on a banana and all whilst Catwoman indulges on some girl on girl action with Poison Ivy. It’s a vivid blast of colourful, sexy and irreverent fun – best of all, you can get your hands on these artworks (and many more) for under $30 via Greg’s Society6 page. Trust us, your walls will thank you for it.

In the 21st century, we have seen tremendous advances in the fields of science, mathematics, physics, astronomy, and social sciences. Just like Shakespeare is still releavant after decades of literature, Star wars has now become just as important. That's right, I said it! In order to function normally in society nowadays, it is impossible to go on with your life not having watched Star Wars. Why? Because in litereally every corner that you turn, there will always be a Star Wars reference. Because Star Wars is a metaphore for life. Because Star Wars represents Justice, Liberty, Happiness, Freedom, and thr triumph of good versus evil. That being said, you can also play various different drinking games while watching all six movies and get thoroughly wasted, and guess what? The best way to get wasted is with Star Wars alcohol.
