Hottest Year Ever
11 jan 2013 14:22
It's been a scorching passed year all over the world. Just when we thought it was over here in the USA, the earth strikes back with our pals over in Australia. Anyone who doesn't believe in global warming is obviously not paying any attention to the thousands of people affected by the heat, dying in hospitals from heat stroke and other temperature-related problems.

It Was Because of Bullying
11 jan 2013 11:02
Science teacher Ryan Heber is the hero of Taft Union High School in California. Mr. Heber confronted the angry teenager after having shot & wounded his classmate and long time bully. It is because of this conversation that the 16 year old put down the gun and surrendered, allowing 28 other students to escape what could have been another American massacre. "I don't want to shoot you," the teen gunman told Heber, who then proceded to convince the youngster to put down the high powered shot gun. Besides the bully who is now undergoing surgery, two other students received minor injuries. One suffered hearing loss and the other fell over a table during the rushed evacuation. Police say that the teen, whose name has not been made public because he is a minor, began plotting on Wednesday night to kill two students he felt had bullied him.

Naked Rihanna
11 jan 2013 00:06
Everyone knows Rihanna is an exhibitionist … so it’s no surprise that she was “caught” (notice the quotes) by the paparazzi in the middle of her changing bikinis on a hotel balcony. The “Nobodies Business” singer was in her home country Barbados during her Christmas vacation when the pics were snapped last Saturday (Dec 22), showing the singer completely nude at one point as she was changing from one bikini into the other. Only 18+.

Ghoulish Zombie Portraits!
10 jan 2013 17:10
Rob Sacchetto is probably one of the coolest zombie portrait makers, EVER. He has come up with a way to immortalize the human condition eternally-- by making them into zombies. Admittedly, probably not the best way to be immortalized, but definitely the coolest looking. I'd like to see him make a Dick Cheney portrait. I'm sure that he is a zombie, since he keeps eating all that unicorn blood to stay alive. Check it out:

10 jan 2013 17:04
Probably the best way to waste time at a beach, instead of enjoying the people you are with, sun bathing, swimming, playing volleyball, and you know, doing normal things, would be to professionally build sand sculptures. Yup. The pictures you are about to see are made by one dude, with waaay too much time on his hands.

A few days ago, Russia's main man, Putin, extended Russia's borders to ex-French citizen, Gerard Depardieu. Depardeu seemed to have issues with France's taxing system and has happily accepted Putin's invitation to become a Russian citizen at a mere flat 13% tax rate on anyone making any amount of money.

That's too weird, robot-dog
10 jan 2013 12:15

original

The U.S. military-funded robot dog program now has two electronic canines in training to haul gear for soldiers over rugged terrain. Each member of the pack is also 10 times quieter than its predecessor robot, which should make it easier to hold a conversation or sneak up on an enemy. The Legged Squad Support System (LS3), as the Boston Dynamics’ AlphaDog robots are known, are being developed for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as a sort of an intelligent pack mule that won’t freak out when shots are fired or a mutt walks by on the other side of the hiking trail. In the video below, it’s clear that the robots are far from stealth, but their moving parts are quiet enough to hear the robots' footsteps on the ground. The previous version of the robot was so loud that all you could hear was the sound of its motor.

Now that everybody knows Lindsay Lohan is broke, it's only natural to accuse her of stealing Liz Taylor's missing bracelet from the set of "Liz & Dick." It's been said that Lindsay has gotten close with Tayor's long time nurse, to which the said bracelet was gifted. “Elizabeth had given the nurse an expensive bracelet that was very meaningful to her and the nurse absolutely cherished it. Lindsay immediately fell in love with the bracelet the minute she saw it and was very vocal about how much she admired it. A short time later, the bracelet disappeared from the nurse’s house … on the very same day Lindsay had been to visit," tells a source.

Lindsay Lohan Cons "Million Dollar Decorators"
09 jan 2013 13:27
If you were asked to be on Bravo's "Million Dollar Decorators," would you be more than happy for the opportunity? Well, apparently Lindsay Lohan was less than appreciative for the opportunity when she simply didn't show up to the grand reveal of her new home. She picked the colors herself, picked some of the furniture, and even had celeb interior designer Kathryn Ireland visit her in the hospital after an alleged car accident! As if not showing up wasn't bad enough, Lohan actually tried to sell the stuff & then got threatened to have the $250K materials repossessed.

DC Hoes Are Prepping For Inauguration Weekend
09 jan 2013 12:43

Get ready to pay some extra if you're lookin' for a little sugar over inaugurations weekend. Records show that last time Obama got in the house, the love shacks were simply banging big bucks into those women's pockets.

This time around, DC police are having talks about putting up signs for "prostitution free zones," located around the capitol building. Thus far, similar signs have been signed around the DC area, but never so blatantly as they are calling for now.

A fark.com user says, "My roomate was working downtown at a hotel and it was booked solid for the week of the inauguration. Her and her coworkers needed special security badges to get in and out and one night she slept there in the closed rooftop restaurant. I still wanted to get one of those red "prostitution free zone" signs that were up all over around the mall."

Paul Ryan Makes An A$$ of Himself Again
09 jan 2013 11:35
Paul Ryan Cosponsors New Fetal Personhood Bill. Why are we not surprised? According to Ryan a "one-celled human embryo," even before it implants in the uterus to create a pregnancy, should be granted "all the legal and constitutional attributes and privileges of personhood." Similar legislation has been rejected, even by conservative states like Mississippi, because it could outlaw some forms of birth control and in vitro fertilization as well as criminalize abortion at all stages.

Daniel Day Lewis Didn't Want To Play Lincoln
08 jan 2013 16:05

"Dear Steven,

It was a real pleasure just so sit and talk with you. I listened very carefully to what you had to say about this compelling history, and I’ve since read the script and found it in all the detail in which it describe these monumental events and in the compassionate portraits of all the principal characters, both powerful and moving. I can’t account for how at any given moment I feel the need to explore life as opposed to another, but I do know that I can only do this work if I feel almost as if there is no choice; that a subject coincides inexplicably with a very personal need and a very specific moment in time. In this case, as fascinated as I was by Abe, it was the fascination of a grateful spectator who longed to see a story told, rather than that of a participant. That’s how I feel now in spite of myself, and though I can’t be sure that this won’t change, I couldn’t dream of encouraging you to keep it open on a mere possibility. I do hope this makes sense Steven, I’m glad you’re making the film, I wish you the strength for it, and I send both my very best wishes and my sincere gratitude to you for having considered to me."
