“See Iron Man how you’ve never wanted to see him before. Insecure, anxious, and paralyzed with fear.” The gang over at Screen Junkies set their sights on Iron Man 3, and they brutally tear it apart. If you didn't like Iron Man 3, then I'm sure this honest trailer will make you hate it even more. I enjoyed the movie, but they do hit on some really solid points of ridiculousness.

Here's a great video from PBS that features Tom Hiddleston teaching Cookie Monster a lesson about self-control. Maybe waving a cookie in front of Cookie Monster's face isn't the best way to start this lesson out. Like a true villain, Hiddleston just sits there teasing him with a cookie the whole time, but good things come to those who wait. Well... that's what I heard!

What's The Fox Say? The Most Informative Music Video Has The Answer. (1 photo + 1 video)

Please enjoy (or at least stare confusedly at) this music video, “The Fox”, from the Norwegian talk show I kveld med YLVIS. It answers the question, “What would happen if you made a schmaltzy pop song with high production values then devolved into silly animal sounds?” Nobody asked the question, but they answered it anyway. Sketch group Ylvis is the brothers Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker, who have been making surreal and funny stuff like this for the past 13 years. (Sidenote: “Bård Ylvisåker” is the Norwegianist name that’s ever Norwegianed.) Once in a while, something they make starts going viral outside Norway, like their “voice controlled elevator” pranks. This absurd video seems poised to be a crossover hit. The top YouTube comment is, “Play this at my funeral” and we’re inclined to agree.

Skeletons Get Punched in New BORDERLANDS 2 Short (22 photo + 1 video)

After a few weeks of teasing, the latest Borderlands 2 animated short is here! It follows Brick from the first game and everyone’s favorite homicidal pre-teen girl, Tiny Tina. This short is a prologue to the downloadable adventure,Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, which is Tiny Tina playing Bunkers and Badasses (a play on Dungeons and Dragons) with the players. In short, it is hilarious.

But once they’re done giggling at Alison Pill and her inability to act like a normal human being, because women, they’ll tune into the MTV Video Music Awards, for The Gaga, The Daft Punk, The Hippity Hop, and mostly, The *NSYNC. "Justin Timberlake and his former *NSYNC band members are set to reunite for a special performance on the VMAs Sunday night at the Barclays Center, sources tell Page Six. MTV announced that Timberlake, who topped the charts in the late ’90s with the band, will perform at the VMAs and receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. But we’re told former bandmates J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick are scheduled to join him onstage for a reunion performance." --MTV news. It was nice of Manager Jerry to let Chris Kirkpatrick take a day off from his shift at Arby’s to attend the ceremony. He’ll just have to pull double sometime next week. Timur Bekmambetov's 'Squirrels' Trailer Looks Ridiculous (1 photo + 1 video)

I’m still pretty hesitant to believe that this is really and isn’t part of some grand viral marketing scheme for another film, but apparently director Timur Bekmambetov has been hard at work trying to produce the film Squirrels, which is about – you guessed it – squirrels. Except these aren’t just any squirrels, because just like Alfred Hitchcock’s Birds and James Nguyen’s Birdemic, Squirrels is the story of what happens when nature’s nut hoarders get fed up with humans and decide to fight back. A pre-production sales trailer for Squirrels hit the YouTubes over the weekend, and I assume that wherever Bekmambetov showed this clip, people just started throwing money and bank account numbers at him, because I can’t even count how many times I’ve thought, “If only someone had the balls to make a movie about a squirrel biting a little girl’s face off.”

Anyway, I’ve missed Jonathan Banks’s dead-eyed scowl, so I’m eating this news up like a particularly hungry hippo. Jonathan Banks will appear in 11 episodes of Community‘s fifth season, EW has learned. Banks will tackle the role of Pat Nichols, an intense criminology professor with a mysterious background in military and police work. The Wiseguy alum makes his first appearance in the second episode of the season when Annie (Alison Brie) enrolls in his class. And along with not having to worry about the weather, you don’t even have to worry about things like closing times either – the centre is open 24/7. Fancy a swim at 3am? Between open mic comedy and being at The Gathering this past weekend, I think I could go six more lifetimes without hearing someone expecting to be applauded for doing drug use ever again (The Kottonmouth Kings enjoy marijuana – who knew?). But this Supercut, “Drugs in the Movies,” by Robert Jones, is so well put together that you can’t help but enjoy the hell out of it. It’s got all your favorites – Fast Times, Fear and Loathing, Go, Boogie Nights – and extra mega bonus points for including Tim Meadows’ speech in Walk Hard, one of the most underrated and underquoted comedy performances of the last 10 years. I seriously don’t know why that guy isn’t a huge star. Way to go, Obama.

Now, I’m sure all you High Brow Harrys and Liberal Arts Lisas have been following the situation in Egypt, so I don’t need to explain it to you; that would be demeaning and insulting to your intelligence. Cumberbatch has no such qualms: while filming Sherlock over the weekend, Cumberbatch wrote a tut-tut-shaming note directed at the paparazzi that read, “Go photograph Egypt and show the world something important.”

Patton Oswalt Trolled Twitter With Two-Part Political Tweets (23 photo)

It's almost unfair how good Patton Oswalt is at Twitter. I mean, he's good at most things (that talented jerk), from delivering Star Wars-inspired filibusters to packing Go Bags, but he's ESPECIALLY good at Twitter. A little over a month after shaming Salon, Oswalt spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon trolling his quick to react Followers, with a number of tweets that look damning...until you read them in context. For instance, the tweet you see above, about Hitler rightfully killing off the Jews — that looks pretty bad, until you realize it comes after, "Oh, you think repealing voting laws in the south is justified, you racist asshole? I suppose you ALSO believe that..." A typical reply: "How is it racist to only want U.S. citizens to be able to vote for people who will represent U.S. citizens?" Fantastic. Steve Wozniak, the chubby, lovable half of Apple, wrote a short review of "Jobs": "I saw 'Jobs' tonight. I thought the acting throughout was good. I was attentive and entertained but not greatly enough to recommend the movie. [...] I suspect a lot of what was wrong with the film came from Ashton’s own image of Jobs. Ashton made some disingenuous and wrong statements about me recently (including my supposedly having said that the ‘movie’ was bad, which was probably Ashton believing pop press headlines) and that I didn’t like the movie because I’m paid to consult on another one. These are examples of Ashton still being in character. Either film would have paid me to consult, but the Jobs one already had a script written. I can’t take that creative leadership from someone else. And I was turned off by the Jobs script. But I still hoped for a great movie. [...] I felt bad for many people I know well who were portrayed wrongly in their interactions with Jobs and the company. The movie ends pretty much where the great Jobs finally found product success (the iPod) and changed so many of our lives. I’m grateful to Steve for his excellence in the i-era, and his contribution to my own life of enjoying great products, but this movie portrays him having had those skills in earlier times."

Recently, Game Freak announced a pretty awesome addition to the gameplay of their next Pokémon games (X Version and Y Version) : Mega Evolutions. These are mid-battle transformations that basically just make your Pokémon a lot more badass. Despite the name, they're actually not evolutions at all--just really cool forms that some Pokémon can now access. Naturally, within days of the announcement, fans started churning out some really cool art of the seven revealed Mega Pokémon. Here are some of my favorites that I've seen.

So Disney and Lucasfilm ended up giving us nothing about Star Wars: Episode VII at their D23 Expo this last weekend, and it left many fans including myself unfulfilled and disappointed. But today we bring you some cool news regarding the highly anticipated film! There's a rumor been floating around that Emperor Palpatine would be back and that Ian McDiarmid would be returning to play him. That news has now been confirmed by our friends at Latino-Review, who also give us some spoilerish details on how he will return because as you know, he was murdered by Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. I've been seeing people talking about the character being cloned, but that just didn't really make sense to me. It never even really made sense to me in the comics either. As site points out, why would the clone be an old Emperor? The whole thing made me think that their was no real truth behind the rumor, which is why I never posted anything about it. Everything has now clicked into place, though!
