Sometimes arming a bunch of 8-year-olds with paint and markers doesn’t have to result in a disaster. In fact, it can turn into a beautiful work of art! This is exactly what happened to Haley Curfman, a 2nd-grade teacher in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Haley bought a beautiful white dress, set it up in her classroom and encouraged her students to draw on it. This Guy Continues To Paint Pop-Culture Characters Into Old Thrift-Store Paintings
07 mar 2018 10:14
Dave Pollot is a US painter who brings new life to old and forgotten art. He buys thrift store paintings and perfectly "enhances" them with pop culture symbols, giving a cool, nerdy spin to what's dusting away inside cracked frames. "Any scratches or marks are carefully touched up and then my own visions are added." Before focusing on repurposing discarded thrift art, Dave painted more ‘serious’ architectural paintings and landscapes.

After getting a new and bigger apartment a while back, Thomas Krahn needed something to hang on the large, white walls. Being a student he didn’t have the money to buy the art he liked. Instead, he bought a canvas, paint and tried painting something himself.
The doodles from his elementary school notebooks featuring huge, flying fruit, astronauts and weird orbs quickly found their way back into his art alongside his love for the Danish countryside.

This Artist Paints With Light And It Looks Dazzling

As you can see from these pictures, Cristoforo Scorpiniti is an artist who believes that good art should be visible at every time of the day. Far from making traditional glow-in-the-dark pictures however, Cristoforo (otherwise known as Crisco) adds a unique element to his artwork by making them transform with the changing of the light. It’s a simple yet highly effective technique that allows him to get the most out of his canvas.

The beautiful and mind-bending illusions in Canadian artist Robert Gonsalves’ paintings have a fun way of twisting your perception and causing you to question what in his paintings, if anything, is real. Most of his stunning paintings have an unclear boundary between the multiple stories they tell, which forces the viewer to jump back and forth between them – like an optical illusion that changes every time you look at it. Gonsalves’ interest in art began at an early age, which is why he...
