Today, 5 Planets Align For The First Time In A Decade

Gingerina 21 jan 2016

The best time to see the planets is during the last week of January and first week of February, 45 minutes before sunrise. If you have an Android device, the SkEye app will show you where to look in your hemisphere.

For the first time since 2005, you’ll be able to see all five visible planets (Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Venus, Mercury) at once – if you get up early enough, that is. Dr Alan Duffy, research fellow at Swinburne University in Melbourne, said that this reasonably rare alignment is ‘essentially a quirk’ of the universe.

The Playboy Mansion Is For Sale At $200 Million Plus One Bizarre Condition

Surely you've heard of The Playboy Mansion, but would you live there? Now's your chance -- but there is one very big catch. Namely, it's that the new owner would have to grant Hefner a life estate, which means he'd be allowed to live in the mansion until he dies. That's a perverted, aging roommate signing bonus.

Hungarian photographer Flóra Borsi is an eyeful. Animeyed, her latest project, features animals superimposed over self-portraits so that the two faces overlap, sharing one eye in common. The surreal effect is compounded by Borsi’s use of colors and props to make her look more like the creature sharing the photo.
Borsi is no amateur photographer. Her work has been featured at the Saatchi Gallery, at the Louvre.

Anna And Elsa, Frozen

The medium I use is something most people encounter as an everyday object – paper. I try to turn that ordinary object into something extraordinary. Something that asks the viewer to stop, to take a second look, and to think outside the box. I first got into paper art through pop-ups. I’ve always had a very good sense for 3D spatial reasoning so I found working with paper to be very natural.

Russia is the biggest country in the world. When most people think of it, what comes to mind is the Kremlin, colorful domed churches, and maybe some snow and bears. This unusual advertising campaign challenges those typical views, showing sides of Russia not often seen even by Russians themselves. PayPal went and visited five of their customers who live in far-off places, creating an amazingly beautiful project documenting the lives of ordinary Russians.
