Among the tens of thousands of businesses affected by the disaster, Honda hasn't been spared – its factoryin the Ayutthaya province was hit hard, and in an effort to assure that damaged vehicles never make it to consumers, the Japanese automaker has begun to scrap over 1,000 vehicles damaged during the flood.

Back on March 18, Lindsay Lohan finally took a plea deal for a lockdown rehab facility in her lying to the cops case. But she had one condition: She wanted permission to take Adderall while she’s drying out. Sources for TMZ say La Lohan has been using the drug for years and is convinced she needs it to function. Interestingly enough, she was first prescribed the medicine (used to treat ADHD, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder) while behind bars back in 2010, which caused all sorts of controversy. For her recent plea deal, LiLo said she wanted to take her Adderall while in rehab, or she’d take her chances with a trial. At the time, lawyer Mark Heller assured her she would be able to hold onto her prescription security blanket while she’s in her court-mandated lockdown rehab. Despite, you know, not being eligible for the few lockdown rehabs that actually exist. Ironically, I could use a little Adderall myself to help keep track of the increasingly confusing details of this mess. Nah. Just kidding. That's what coffee is for.
Prince never worked with or knew Michael Jackson, but he may still testify against the tour promoter who both hired and was supposed to supervise Michael’s doctor, Conrad Murray, because that’s how the American justice system works. The late Michael Jackson and Prince could finally cross paths as MJ’s mother Katherine has plans to use the Purple One as a witness in her wrongful death lawsuit against promoter AEG. Michael’s kids, Prince Michael I and II and Paris, helped along by Katherine, are suing the promoter for $40 billion in damages. (Yes, billion with a B.) According to documents obtained by TMZ, Katherine has a list of over 100 witnesses she plans to have testify, including Prince, who allegedly had bad experiences with AEG in the past.
Shain Gandee, star of MTV’s ‘Buckwild,’ has reportedly been found dead in West Virginia some 30 hours after going missing. Local news station WCHS reports that Gandee and his uncle, 48-year-old David Gandee, were found in Shain’s car along with another unidentified person in Sissonville, West Virginia on Monday, April 1. (Yes, we’ve taken into account that it’s April Fool’s Day, but if this is a joke, it’s a sick one involving a lot of otherwise credible sources. So we’re assuming this is sadly true.) The Gandee men were last seen Sunday when they were last spotted leaving a local bar at 3 a.m. They told fellow patrons they planned to go four-wheeling after the drinks, but didn’t tell anyone where — and they didn’t come back. ‘Buckwild,’ which features several good ol’ boys and girls from West Virginia, is known to profile the antics of Shain, who’s referred to as a “redneck McGyver” and who built a swimming pool inside a dump truck in the show’s first episode. MTV picked up the series for another season in January, but this news coupled with the arrest of another cast member, 24-year-old Salwa Amin, for felony drug possession may nix those plans.
During Sunday's NCAA men's Basketball game, Kevin Ware of the Louisville Cardinals suffered a gruesome injury breaking one of his legs, in the first half of the game against the Duke Blue Devils in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 31st, 2013. Ware broke his right leg in two places, as he landed awkwardly with all of his weight on the leg during an attempt to block a shot from the other team. The injury is said to have looked a lot more shocking than it actually appears. The player is in recovery, and even though it will take him a year to fully recover he stayed positive and very courageous throughout the process, telling his team to focus on winning the game. The reaction from the teams and the audience was very emotional. Some players and even the coaches were crying as the audience was also in complete shock.
The author: "My uncle was struck by a fleeing vehicle a year ago while throwing spike strips. My father and I realized we had the opportunity to save lives." This is what they came up with.
Since the new North Korean leader Kim Jong-un came to power there's been a lot of tension with South Korea. The North has been throwing threats at the South, including the recent declare of entering a "state of war"! There's even a leaked plan of American troop targets, situated in South Korea. The main concern for U.S. is that if South Korea (their ally) gets attacked they will have to get involved. China and Japan are also very concerned, but so far nobody has crossed the line, and this might all just be tough talk. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of war, and the new leader will calm down with his macho issues.

Photo journalist Chris Arnade has created a moving and gritty series call Faces of Addiction, a collection of candid portraits of individuals living in Hunts Point in the Bronx, struggling with their drug addictions, each with their own tragic tale of violence, rape, abuse, poverty and crime. Many of these New Yorkers live in homeless shelters, derelict buildings and even crack dens and whilst they are aware of their choices in life and standing in society, all of them are grateful for the small things that they do have. Through his photography and story telling, Chris has given them a platform for expression and handled their often heartbreaking stories with a gentle and restrained dignity.
The former mathematician, ruthless bussinessman, Putin's foe, and Russias most famous oligarch, Boris Berezovsky, has been found dead at his Britain home. The circumstances are yet unknown, many say it was a suicide due to his deep depression and a lot of debt, after he lost a hefty sum of money in a legal battle with his former partner Abramovich, over shares in Russia's fourth biggest oil company in 2012. Others say it was heart failure due to his age (67), and then again he had quite a few enemies.
7000 people might have contracted HIV, hepatitis b or c from a dental office in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During an ongoing investigations the health department found many violations in Dr. W. Scott Harrington's office. His assistants had no licence and were allowed to do full IV sedations, which is a felony, and the major one was poor tool sterelization and separation, which is the main factor in this incident. I will never feel the same about going to the dentist! Wow
Yesterday, the Human Rights Campaign’s pink-and-red equal sign went viral — becoming the online symbol of the gay marriage cases before the Supreme Court this week. But, this being the Internet, nothing gold (or in this case, red) can stay — since the image is everywhere already, cue the multitude of parodies. Some have made us roll our eyes, others inspired chuckles, and the rare one made us seriously guffaw. We’ve culled some of our favorites from Facebook and meme-generators like KnowYourMeme and WeKnowMemes. Government health officials launched the second round of a graphic ad campaign on March 28 that is designed to get smokers off tobacco. These are not your normal stop smoking ads. These are hardcore and straight to the point. Would these work on you?
Fourteen year old Katelyn Norman doesn't have much time left to live. She has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma a form of bone cancer that will soon take her life. Just because she is in critical care does not mean she has lost out on some of the experiences of being young and that includes prom. Katelyn was hoping to go to her prom in person but the day of her prom she had to be hospitalized after having trouble breathing. Her friends and family rallied together to bring the prom to her hospital room where she got a corsage from her date and a "prom queen" sash. She was extremely thankful for everyone involved. This is one truly amazing story.
A huge landslide hit Washington state's Whidbey Island, knocking a home off its foundation and isolating or threatening more than two dozen other homes on March 27. It was "like an earthquake, it rattled the whole house," said a resident who lost a big chunk of backyard. The town fire chief said there is no specific reason why the landslide occurred or has yet to be identified.
Model/ DJ Sabrina Boing Boing (Yes that is her name) cause an uproar in her home country of Brazil when Instagram photos of her trying to breast feed a baby calf surfaced. On her Instagram account she wrote "Testing done with mammals, so far everyone wants suck lol." The photo shoot started off innocently but ended in a weird WTF was she thinking type moment. Some of her twitter followers deemed the calf lucky, while others said the pictures were disgusting. To me this is just weird.
Pre paying tuition is a smart idea for parents who can afford it and want to avoid runaway education inflation. One well off mom from China took the idea to a whole other level. She doesn't want her daughter in an over crowded dorm room so she recently purchased a $6.5 million apartment in New York's new One57 tower building. Below are the artists renderings. The 90 story building isn't open yet but builders can take their time on this room as the daughter of the woman from china is only 2 years old. The mom stated that her 2 year old will one day be going to Colombia, NYU or Harvard meaning there is a two out of three chance this condo will be located in the right state. We can only imagine the pressure on this little girl. At least she has an amazing apartment to look forward to. Look at the artists renderings of the apartment below
The Kalaidzhi, who represent only a small portion of the estimated 700,000 Roma in Bulgaria, are almost all devout Orthodox Christians who keep teenage boys and girls separate. Parents sometimes remove girls from school at 15 or even earlier to keep them from mixing with boys. The isolation is broken only by Internet chats and the twice-a-year bridal fairs, known as the 'Roma bridal market.'
Most of the Golden Girls episodes are extremely outdated and don't carry much worthy advice anymore. This clip on the other hand aired in 1991 and takes a stance on gay marriage which is more up to date than you would believe. Still not sure about gay marriage? Why don't you watch this clip and see if it changes your mind. Here is a worth while piece of advise.
China's first lady Peng Liyuan has become an instant internet sensation back home as she steps into the international limelight while accompanying her husband President Xi Jinping on his travels abroad.
This week the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California. They are also weighing the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman. To show their support for the LGBT community, people have been changing their profile pictures on Facebook. It started as big blocks of solid red. Then changed to a red block with a pink equal sign, which is symbol of the Human Rights Campaign. Now things have gotten a little out of control and some more creative options have popped up. Here are our favorites.
The National Park Service celebrated the 50th anniversary of Alcatraz Island's closure as a federal penitentiary on March 21 with an exhibit of newly discovered photos of the prison's final hours. The new display opened five decades after the last shacked prisoners were taken off the infamous prison in San Francisco Bay that once held the likes of gangsters Al Capone and Mickey Cohen.
If you logged into Facebook your probably saw at least a few people with a red and pink equality symbol. It didn't take long for a bunch of different spin offs to start popping up as well. With the supreme court hearing under way regarding California's prop 8 regarding gay marriage people wanted to show their support. Along with the red and pink equality sign in support of gay marriage we also got some funny memes and alterations with shout outs to bacon and the grumpy cat.
Car company Ford is in a little hot water for an ad campaign that revolved around making light of kidnapping in order to advertise the trunk space of their Ford Figo, with one ad putting a caricature of Paris Hilton in the role of driver and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian bound and gagged in the trunk. As the ad states, “Leave your worries behind with Figo’s extra-large boot.” Or in layman’s term, our trunk is so big, it can fit three whole Kardashians! The photo hints that Hilton has taken revenge against the sisters for stealing the spotlight of “most famous person who does absolutely nothing yet still makes oodles of cash” away from her. The company has since apologized, and JWT India, the ad agency who created the images said, “They have never been paid for and were not expected to be released.” Unfortunately, they still ended up being published on the website Ads of the World last Friday (March 22). The advertisements were created in and seemed to be aimed at an Indian audience, as the Ford Figo is currently meant for sale in developing countries. “We take this very seriously and are reviewing approval and oversight processes, and taking necessary steps to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” wrote Ford spokesperson Sethi Deepti. Another advert from the same campaign featured Italy’s former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, with three prostitutes tied up in the back of the hatchback with ball gags in their mouths. In case you’ve forgotten, Berlusconi was embroiled in a sex scandal in which he was accused of having sex with minors. Hey Ford, just because people joke about a trunk being able to hold X-amount of dead prostitutes doesn’t mean you should build an ad campaign around it. Yet another ad (one which didn’t cause much controversy in comparison) had Formula One driver Michael Schumacher as kidnapper and fellow competitors Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the trunk. Interestingly enough, none of them were drawn with ball gags.
It is apparently increasingly difficult to show devotion when you’re a 30 Seconds to Mars fan. When pushed for the strangest thing he’d ever received from a passionate Letohead — it’s a thing — he gave an answer no one expected. Or, you know, wanted. “Someone cut their ear off once and sent it to me, that was very strange. A whole ear. The Van Gogh move,” he said. “The note just said, ‘Are you listening?’ I never knew who it was, who’s missing their ear out there.” Even more strange, is what Jared did with it: “I poked a hole in it and wore it as a necklace!” As you do. XFM said he was joking — but Leto apparently doesn’t mince words like his fans mince body parts, so he photographed the nasty necklace and posted it to Instagram like some sort of bizarre proof-of-life attached to a ransom note. Dude. Sometimes it’s okay to just let people use their imaginations.
There are few things worse for the tech fan of the 21st century than a smartphone running out of juice while out and about. Even newer smartphones start flagging after four or five hours of constant web surfing or video watching, meaning that remembering to pack a charging cable is, for some, almost as vital as the device itself. Thankfully, dozens of electronics makers have responded to this problem by launching pocket-sized mobile batteries that can provide smartphones with a full charge simply by plugging in a cable, keeping users playing games and posting OMFG and LOLZ comments all day long without fear of their gadget falling asleep on them.
The pale-eyed handsome lad from the ‘Vampire Diaries,’ Ian Somerhalder, also co-owns a repurposed furniture shop with his brother Bob called Built of Barnwood. And to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the store, Somerhalder headed to Bay St. Louis, Miss. to sign pictures, posters and yes, even crosses. It’s cool, vamps in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ are totally fine putting their pale paws all over holy relics. In the five hours that Ian was at the event, he met over 2,000 fans and took over 200 photos with anyone who paid $20-$30 to get a professional 8×10 glossy taken with the CW star. (guessing at least some of that money went to his foundation.) Then I'd like to imagine he immediately took his shirt off and started re-purposing old furniture. Oh, don’t act like you’d object.
Sunday, Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) tweeted excitedly that her baby boy Lorenzo had been baptized. Her best friend JWoww (Jenni Farley), who happens to be Lorenzo's godmother, also posted photos from the baby's baptism on Twitter.
In other exciting news for the Jersey Shore duo, who became stars of their own spinoff, "Snooki and JWoww" involve Snooki's pregnancy book currently in the works, and JWoww's recent engagement highlighted in a recent episode of the show, which was allegedly put on hold in another episode when the couple happened to get into a heated argument. It rapped up with JWoww taking off her engagement ring and Roger leaving the house. We wonder if this couple will make it through all the drama.
Snooki is positive about her pregnancy book and keeps blowing "haters" off, responding to one of her follower's tweets "I feel like @snooki has no business writing a pregnancy book. Stick to liquor & tanning lotion." with "Deal with it."
