Horse Pretends To Be Dead To Avoid Being Ridden

A dramatic horse named Jingang has greater ambitions than being a mere steed. It doesn’t seem to appreciate being ridden by others as a horse should. Instead, it goes out of its way to avoid doing its job. Jingang the horse pretends to be ‘dead’ in an overly-theatrical way. It’s silly. It’s funny. And it’s proof that some animals would rather laze about than earn their carrots like we do — by the sweat of our brows.

This man helped to save 6,500 prematurely born babies by showing them off as a sideshow attraction

“When you see these babies (there may be as many as twenty-five at one time) you will wonder how such strange little creatures will ever be human. They look more like tiny monkeys than the sturdy men and women they eventually will become,” an article from the World’s Fair weekly about incubator babies read. This article named “Saving Babies” was published back in 1933.

This Man Built Probably The Thinnest House In Beirut To Block His Brother’s View Of The Sea

The growing population of many regions makes urban developers scratch their heads in an attempt to make room for everyone. This solution has produced many rather ‘skinny’ and sometimes even funny looking buildings all over the world. However, even though this may seem like a logical explanation, not every building is built narrow just to make use of all available space. As it turns out, probably the narrowest building in Beirut, Lebanon, was built.

But the fact of the matter is simple: they’re everyday heroes who save lives, don’t take off their superhero capes when the fire is out, and stand as an example of how to live your life.

Pigs are observed using tools for the first time

A Visayan warty pig (pictured above) in captivity in Paris uses a stick to dig out a small nest for its piglets

An ecologist at a zoo in Paris has documented the first ever instance of Visayan warty pigs using tools. Every six months, the endangered species dig out shallow nests in the first to prepare for the birth of piglets, typically by burrowing with their snouts. At the Musée de l'Homme, a museum of anthropology in the heart of the French capital, a researcher saw one of the pigs take a stick in its mouth and began using it as a shovel to scrape out a nest.

As a result, they often find themselves in trash cans or paws deep in your pet’s feeder. And when you think raccoons simply cannot get any more mischievous than that, the Internet provides yet another story that proves otherwise.

Like a fine wine, some people only get better with age. Part of it has to do with genetics, but a large portion depends on your lifestyle. And a perfect example of looking better and better with time is Dr. Alec Couros, a professor of educational technology and media at the University of Regina in Canada.

Most Beautiful Remaining Street Mosaics From The Soviet Union

Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991, much of the vast empire’s public art—or propaganda—has perished as well. Socialist Realism was the dominant style of the day—that is, art that bolstered the socialist message by glorifying the proletariat and celebrating civic triumphs. Hardworking men and women of heroic proportions were depicted on posters and in brightly colored mosaics on the walls of factories, schools, and bus stations.

About 4,000 people have flooded California's Mojave Desert for the annual post-apocalyptic festival called Wasteland Weekend, and the pics looks out of this world. The festival, which was inspired by the Mad Max film series, is unlike most desert parties because it requires all attendees to be in costume. Yes, even staff members and journalists. The idea is to create a full-immersion effect, making everyone feel like they’re inside a Mad Max universe.
