I would like to show you my recent photos of Fonyód-Alsóbélatelep beach at Lake Balaton in Hungary. The beach is ice-frozen. The strong wind and the cold icicles caused by the cold embrace the shore, offering a spectacular view for spectators. Apart from looking like a winter wonderland made of crystal glass, Lake Balaton is considered to be the largest lake in central Europe.

Salvador Dali is the king of dystopian landscapes, creating elaborate worlds with nothing but paint and a canvas. Well, thanks to photoshop new artists have a unique tool to experiment with surrealism. Polish-born artist Mirek is one such artist who is using his 10 years of experience with the editing software to create one-of-a-kind images.

I’ve been working as a reef sculptor for the last 4 years and have made several installations that I’m proud of, but none nearly as much as this latest piece. This “Tree of Life” is an electrified artificial reef, which causes it to form a crust of limestone on its surfaces creating a bio-engineered habitat for the coral that we’ll garden across the sculpture.

Every year, the Siena International Photo Awards share the best images of the most beautiful and unique places, people, and events on Earth. The pictures are submitted by some amazing photographers from around the globe who want to share how they see and perceive the world.

Bertil Nilsson is a Swedish photographer and filmmaker who captures dancers and performers in natural and architectural environments. These images are part of a series called “Naturally”, published in a limited-edition book last November.

Tanks rolled out onto the battlefields of World War I nearly a hundred years ago. Not all of them survived the war to to become museum pieces; many of these lumbering steel behemoths remain stuck where they were rendered immobile. Each was home to three or more fighting men, and not all of them survived the demise of their armored fighting vehicle. This collection of tanks reclaimed by nature comes from all over the world.

Daniel Taylor wanted to create the smoke effects on animals he used on some few of his female subjects. The hardest part was that while there were only faces, here there was the whole body that needed to be “smokeified”.

Maybe the ancients were on to something when they built statues as peace offerings to the gods. Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn certainly thinks so, and his multiple-sculpture series, The Force of Nature, embodies this ideal. As a child I always wanted to see mythical creatures from fairy tales. Of course I did not see them. Now I am older but child in me is still curious, so one day I come up with the idea how to see them. I went into the forest, picked up a magical place and surrendered myself to the process. I picked up available nature materials, asked the spirit to reveal him (her) self to me and started to work. So some pretty amazing faces came into reality

Nature can be absolutely mind-blowing. Animals (and humans, even) have developed exactly what they need to survive over the years. Cheetahs can chase down their prey, seals can hold their breath underwater for long amounts of time and these animals? They can be almost perfectly hidden in plain sight.

The Thousand Islands is an archipelago consisting of exactly 1,864 islands that straddles the Canada-U.S. border in the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario.

Given the millions of different shades of color that we see in nature, it’s no wonder that, once in a while, nature might simply run out of paint. Perhaps this is why pure-white animals leave such a strong impression on us. Some of them look like ghostly spirit animals. Others, like albino whales or moose, are lonely one-in-a-million albinos with striking, unexpected appearances. Albinism (with its root in the Latin word albus, or white) is a form of hypopigmentary congenital disorder, characterized by a partial lack or total absence of melanin pigment in the eyes, skin and hair, or more rarely in the eyes alone. Due to this, animals (and humans too) with albinism are unusually pale. The eyes of an animal with albinism occasionally appear red because of the underlying retinal blood vessels showing through where there is not enough pigment to cover them. Some of the animals on this list are albinos, while others are simply members of rare white species. Whatever the case, mankind has been fascinated by such animals for ages. Some consider them to be sacred, and others – demonic. Whether you find them strange, beautiful, ghostly or freakish, we hope you enjoy this collection of animals that nature simply forgot to color in.

In a series called Nature is Magical, artist ChaosLife illustrates six super fascinating animal facts. Well, with the exception of the last one, which is that flamingoes exist and I already knew that. I’m not a gentleman or a scholar (I’m a female and a dum-dum) but I know what’s up with flamingoes. I feel robbed of my sixth fun animal fact — I demand a re-do!

Drawing inspiration from nature, the brand known for its innovative approach to clothing – Vollebak – recently crafted a new futuristic jacket inspired by the adaptive camouflage of the black squid. To design the jacket, the team at Vollebak used lasers and embedded more than 2 billion microscopic glass spheres into resin on the jacket’s surface.

Thanks Nature Cafe is one of Seoul’s oldest animal cafes where its customers can come to the separate pen outside the cafe to pet the beautiful, fluffy sheep that live there.

Being significant contributors to the reproduction of various plants, bees are one of the most integral pollinators in nature. Far from becoming the barren wasteland that many predicted after the catastrophic event the area has, in the absence of humans, become host to a great biodiversity. It really shows the power of nature to recover when left alone without us around to get in the way of things!

We rarely have a chance to see what an artist saw when he was creating his masterpiece. But the Russian painter Stepan Nesterchuk from Dmitrov decided to provide us with such an opportunity. And, you know, it’s really cool to immerse yourself into the atmosphere of art creation.

This is the astonishing moment a jaguar emerged from the water to launch a ferocious attack on a caiman basking on a sand bank. These stunning images show the 20-stone cat striking with lightning speed while the eight-foot reptile basks on a river island in Brazil. In a flurry of action, the ferocious cat sinks its teeth and claws into the back of the leathery reptile before whisking it away in its jaws.

South Korean artist Myoung Ho Lee hangs enormous canvases behind trees, creating a real world backdrop for his photo series, “Tree.” Lee digitally removes the cranes and other equipment used to erect the canvases for an effect that is both simple and surreal. The Kingdom is a visually stunning series by world-renowned graphic designer, photographer, and producer Seb Janiak. The images focus on massive accumulations of clouds in the sky, visually portraying the power of nature as it swirls overhead. In each composition, viewers will quickly get lost in the lively, dramatic clouds that lead directly to a bright central point. The French artist created "digital matte painting," a technique in which several images are layered together to produce one hyperrealistic photograph. In each of these compositions, he draws on that technique to create a fantasy world displayed in the turbulent skies. He focuses on nature and its mysterious forces to create each breathtaking scene. The transforming clouds reveal the changing light throughout a full day, moving from bright daylight to the shadows of moonlight that reveal twinkling clusters of stars.
