Remember back in July when a guy won a Cambodian MMA fight with the Chris Jericho’s Walls Of Jericho? In that spirit I present to you “guy winning an MMA fight with Daniel Bryan’s YES Lock,” a clip from Nemesis Fighting Alliance wherein Coty Shannon wins his debut fight against Brian Borden with a rubber guard submission that we’re just gonna go ahead and call the YES Lock. The clip is below. Jump to the 4:20 mark (dur hur) for the submission. Get your chants ready.

I was going to include All is Bright in this week’s Pulitzer-worthy streaming and video on demand post, because it hits VOD tomorrow and I admittedly thought it looked like a typical, hokey Christmas movie, based on the typical, hokey promotional image. But the newest trailer for All is Bright reveals that it’s not all that hokey and typical, as much as it looks like a sweet, silly story of a scumbag dad trying to find a little redemption in the holiday season. Paul Giamatti stars as the aforementioned scumbag dad, and when he’s released from prison, he realizes that finding a regular job is pretty difficult in this crappy economy. Paul Rudd comes along and they decide to sell Christmas trees together in New York City, but it turns out to be harder than they expected, because they suck at it. Sort of like me and writing porn movies. Or simply writing.

Adam Lefkoe is a sports anchor with WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky who decided to spice up an otherwise routine segment by peppering in as many ‘Seinfeld’ references as possible. Here’s a report that’s real…and it’s spectacular. From reporting on University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino being inducted into the Hall of Fame to showing highlights of NFL games, Lefkoe wows his viewers with his wit and proves he is indeed master of his domain. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) Lefkoe has gone down this road before. Earlier this month, he filled his sportscast with a bunch of wrestling references (which you can see below), leading us to wonder what could possibly be next on his agenda. All we know is whoever is doing his writing should probably think about applying for a gig with the J. Peterman catalog.

Bruno Mars has been offered a much coveted opportunity to perform during the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and considering Beyonce‘s performance last year blacked out the entire stadium and reunited Destiny’s Child, he has some big shoes to fill. The NFL announced the news yesterday (September 8) on the show ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ just before the kick-off and teased that Mars would be making regular appearances throughout the football season to tell fans what he has in store. (Basically, it’s a giant ploy to get people who don’t watch football to watch football. Yeah, good luck with that.) “The Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year,” the NFL announced in a statistic-filled statement. “More than 110.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.” The 2014 Super Bowl game will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on February 2. Make sure to tune in for the halftime show, the commercials, the food and alcohol with family and friends and, least importantly, the football.

Readers of LOLJam, and fans of Lady Gaga: did you think that I wasn't going to be on this story today? I hope by now you've realized how much time I invest on a daily basis on this woman (because honestly, it's quite ridiculous). Today, she performed a new installment of her new single 'Applause' on Good Morning America, and yes, it was indeed very Gaga-esque. In this particular performance, she had her faithful companion Fozzie with her playing as "todo" from the Wizard of Oz. Like always, you have to wait for the jaw dropper moment (or at least, everytime for me there is that =O face moment that I make). With out giving too much away, I'll just quote one of her songs:

Good news world! You can officially stop talking about Miley Cyrus‘ VMAs performance and commence your chatter about her new music video ‘Wrecking Ball,’ which, as far as we can tell, is a how-to guide for getting a yeast infection. No, really. The teaser picture for the new single off ‘Bangerz’ was plenty of indication of what was to come as Cyrus did in fact ride a wrecking ball throughout the video, stuck to her all-white outfit scheme and lacked both pants and a bra the entire time. In the emotionally charged video, Cyrus cries, makes out with various instruments of destruction and even takes all her clothes off to writhe around on top of a giant wrecking ball. Which can’t be sanitary because that room is full of dust particles. Unless that’s a metaphor too.

Did you ever watch the gang on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and think “what’s wrong with these people?” Well, according to these toxicology reports, there is plenty going on inside their bodies to explain why they act the way they do. For example, Sweet Dee is made up of mostly margarita mix. Charlie is a mix of sixteen different toxins in his system, including spray paint and bleach. Mexican ephedra is floating around inside Mac and most of the gang is on crack. Fascinating stuff. Check out all the toxicology reports for the Paddy’s Pub gang and don’t forget to grab season 8 of the show now on DVD and Blu-Ray.

GoDaddy premiered a new commercial during the 2013 NFL Season Kickoff game that featured former 80s action star Jean-Claude Van Damme “working” in a bakery. ‘The Baker’ is the latest in a long line of funny commercials from GoDaddy and this one featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme is easily the funniest. When a baker cooks up new orders with his new website from GoDaddy, he calls on his inner Van Damme to keep up with demand. Watch this baker dominate the dough while Jean-Claude Van Damme jams.

Optical illusions are notoriously a lot of fun. You might be staring at an object, move an inch to the left and witness a whole new dimension or you might glance at something in the distance only for your mind to play tricks on you. It’s one of the few forms of art that is truly interactive and personalised, we all have the capacity to perceive the world around completely separately from each other and optical illusions are a great example of that process. The Science Gallery in Dublin, Ireland is currently hosting a new exhibition dedicated to the art of deception. It’s called Illusion and includes breath-taking artworks by artists Matt Kenyon, Gregory Barsamian Roseline de Thelin & Jonty Hurwitz - all of whom were researched by a chap called Paul Gleeson who is in fact an escapologist & magician! It takes one to know one as they say. Together the artists have created a world of shifting perspectives, sensory deception and dreamlike visuals designed to excite, confuse and above all – surprise. Here’s a few examples from the exhibition for you to enjoy.

In a unnerving 6 minutes, you’ll be faced with the shocking reality of overconsumption and its affect on the world as whole. The footage is taken from the awe-inspiring Samsara movie, in this particular sequence our over zealous and greedy need for food whenever we feel like it has outpaced the capacity of the world’s ecosystem. Industry has had to step in to supply demand and it’s here the any sense of comfort, kindness and relief are cast aside in the name of demand, profit and producing as much food as possible. Regardless of the physical effects on the animals themselves or indeed those of the workers who are forced to work long hours in bleak slaughterhouses. It’s purely a numbers game, powered by giant manufacturing plants all supplying millions of supermarket aisles around the world. It’s an eye-opening and often disturbing look at the entire process of where your food comes from so viewer discretion is advised. Next time you’re after a snack and find yourself walking into to McDonald’s, have a think about the system you’re contributing to.

I randomly came across this punk rock music video over the weekend for a song called Giant. Robot. Babies., and it made me laugh, so I had to share it. The music video and song was created by YouTuber nice peter. I'm confident that this will entertain you, and that you'll be singing "Giant. Robot. Babies!" for the rest of the day. The song is still stuck in my head! Also, this needs to be a new show on Cartoon Network!

Yo VIP, I got a video for you. Here's a short that required way too much effort for such a ridiculous, but incredibly awesome, idea. I'm not the biggest fan of Vanilla Ice, but I can appreciate the amount of time it took to throw these clips from film and television together to rap "Ice Ice Baby." There are way too many to count, but at a glance you'll see House of Cards, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, The Big Lebowski, Batman & Robin, Terminator, TMNT, and Trailer Park Boys for starters. Enjoy it, and apologies in advance if the song's in your head the rest of the day.

Here's an entertaining trailer for a new film called Fading Gigolo, which stars Woody Allen and John Turturro. Here's where things get interesting... Allen didn't direct the movie, Turturro did, and it's very rare to get Allen to star in someone else's movie. But when you watch this trailer you'll see why Allen took the gig. This looks like a very well-scripted, funny film that audiences could enjoy. It is about a guy whose friend convinces him to become a gigolo for a little extra cash. It actually kind of feels like a Woody Allen movie, and here's the synopsis: Woody Allen plays as bookseller-turned-pimp to John Turturro's middle-aged neophyte hustler, in actor-writer-director Turturro's inspired left-field comedy. The premise is as inspired as it is absurd, and Turturro carries it off with his own affecting and surprisingly romantic vision of New York City. The film doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet, but it is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this September.

During Edgar Wright's panel for The World's End at Comic-Con last month, the director showed off a really cool video created by Mike Relm called The Cornetto Megamix, and it features the audio and video from the three films that Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost have worked on together over the years: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End (collectively dubbed the "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy"). Wright posted the video on his blog and said that it "might be my favourite re-edit of any of my work."

I know this isn't really movie related, but there are a bunch of Yo-Yo geeks in the world, so I thought, "what the hell, I'm going to post this." It's a video featuring 2013 Yo-Yo World Champion Janos Karancz destroying his competition at the World Championship. The stuff this guy pulls off is unbelievable, and I guarantee it is going to blow your mind in ways you never thought possible! I've also included a slow-motion edit to see what he's actually doing with this Yo-yo. Enjoy!

The Formula One racing film Rush looks pretty freakin' radical. I like everything I've seen from the movie so far. It looks like there's going to be a lot of intense Formula One racing action, but here's a new clip from the film that gives us a look at more of the dramatic side of things. It features the first meeting between race car driver James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and beautiful model Suzy Miller (Olivia Wilde), who goes on to become his wife. Check out the clip!

Mario can't seem to keep his hat on his head in this incredibly cool live-action video of him and his brother Luigi performing parkour stunts around a city. Some fun special effects have been included like fireball shooting, turtle stomping, and brick breaking. I've got to say, throwing yourself out of a parking garage window head first is a pretty ballsy move, but they pull it off gracefully in this video. Check it out!

It's safe to say that we will never see the Marvel and DC cinematic universes collide on the big screen. But thanks to YouTuber Mr88668866, we have an idea of what that epicness could look like in his fan-made Avengers Vs. Justice League trailer. He uses a ton of footage from several different comic book films and does a great job editing them all together. This turned out really entertaining, so I hope you enjoy it!

Alright I made up that name, and the singing is not the best by any means. The lyrics, though, and the cosplay? It's all so fantastic! It all gets a little silly at some points, but what more can you expect from a Deadpool song? By the way this is the guy you see in all those con videos dancing as Deadpool. Two thumbs up, D Piddy! Here's a deleted scene from one of my favorite episodes of The Walking Dead season 3. The Episode is called "Clear," and this scene is a extended version of Morgan's powerful tirade to Rick. It's one of those non-zombie killing scenes that proves how amazing this series really is. This episode was written by Scott Gimple, who is the new showrunner on the series. Check out the extended scene!

This is a triumph. I’m making a note here: Huge Success. This is Enayla‘s homemade GLaDOS costume. Check out the interview video and more pictures below. The GlaDOS cosplay works while walking around and while hanging from some PVC pipes (as one does). She also says she had an iPod with some Portal quotes and music hooked to speakers on the back of the frame. Normally I don’t like costumes that take up a lot of space, but I’ll make an exception for getting to meet GLaDOS in real life and still be alive.

Wait did I say worst? My apologies. I meant to say THE BEST EVER! This twerking video is sooo hot. But not for the reasons you might think. This young lady wanted to make a spicy video of herself twerking like Miley for her boyfriend. She looks like she’s got some good moves, but her routine soon goes, well, up in flames. Here’s hoping she bounces back from her injuries soon and starts up again with something less dangerous, like the hokey pokey.

When was the last time you thought about Avril Lavigne? 2003? Oh. Well, get ready to flashback to a time when you cared about her particular brand of punk pop, because her new video for ‘Rock N Roll’ features two of the internet’s favorite things — grown-up ’80s TV stars and BearShark. Avril debuted her video for ‘Rock N Roll’ recently to little fanfare. (Let’s be honest, the song’s a little…basic.) But slowly, people started to realize three things: 1. Billy Zane’s in it, playing some sort of action hero in a post-apocalyptic Russ Meyer-meets-’Tank Girl’ style future that is plagued by shark attacks. (How 2013!) 2. Avril makes out with her costar Danica McKellar, aka Winnie from ‘The Wonder Years.’ She even does a Kevin Arnold-style voiceover when they lock lips. 3. Billy Zane is in it. Also, BearShark, whom Avril takes down with a razor-sharp electric guitar while Billy Zane watches on a Segway. Basically, it’s the greatest Avril Lavigne video since…ever? Okay, now you may go back to never thinking about Avril Lavigne again.

I'm not going to pretend that I know what it's like to be a fangirl because I have no idea. In all honesty though, I think a lot of fanboys go through the exact same stages!

People are comparing Miley Cyrus‘ appearance at the VMAs last night to a lot of things — an uncooked chicken, an old Jim Carey character, naked Hank Hill, etc. But nobody is comparing her to what she really looked like — a giraffe with its tongue sticking out. After telling mom and anybody else who would listen, we decided to make MORE proof! Here are some pictures where we’ve replaced Miley’s head with the head of a giraffe. You can barely tell the difference.

Here’s what happens when you stick the Wilhelm Scream any old place you want. The Wilhelm Scream is a classic movie and television sound effect of a high-pitched scream that is constantly recycled. If you’ve seen ‘Star Wars’ or any of the countless other movies it’s used in, you’ve heard it before. The first couple of clips of the Wilhelm Scream being used in this video from Diane Bullock, who helped bring you the equally hilarious ‘Mr. Wizard is a Dick‘ supercut, are real. After that, things get pretty ridiculous. Oh, and if you’ve never seen ‘King Kong,’ ‘Sophie’s Choice’ or ‘Old Yeller,’ SPOILERS. Also, you should probably watch those movies.

Here’s a prank that’s (pun ahoy!) shockingly funny. The husband in this video very convincingly fools his wife into thinking she has electrocuted him while he’s working on a light switch in their house. It’s hard to believe that some of the most ambitious architectural designs of the modern era, also proved to be significantly flawed when it came to their final execution. Despite all the funding, approvals, meetings, planning, scoping, documentation and individuals involved in constructing these impressive feats of human ingenuity, somewhere, somehow it all went wrong. The New School of Architecture and Design have created an infographic titled ‘Failure by Design‘ which highlights some of the most notable failures of architectural design from eight famous buildings from around the world. The errors range from significantly under estimating the weight of structures, to failing to accommodate the surrounding geological hazards to even erecting a building on unstable marshland. You’ll be amazed and confounded as to how any of these structures past the planning stage let alone ended up being built!

If you ever wondered what it’s like for astronauts to readjust to life on Earth, this video has the answer for you. Apparently you drop stuff all the time, for starters. This video, made by the Johnson Space Center, is a little corny, but it’s nice to know that even astrophysicists and people who’ve drifted around in space feel compelled to make YouTube videos. They’re not so different from the rest of us.

Quaint though they may be, we’ve come a long way from this hellishly misleading smoking advertisements from yesteryear. Actor Edmund Lowe once proudly declared: “It’s that delightful taste after a cup of coffee that makes Luckies a hit with me. And naturally I protect my voice with Luckies. No harsh irritants for me…..I reach for Lucky instead. Congratulations on your improved Cellophane wrapped. I can open it.” Even US President Ronald Reagan, paid off by big tobacco, willingly promoting the fact he loved to send cigarettes to all his friends at Christmas. Put it down to clever marketing or being genuine naive, this collection of vintage adverts promoting the health benefits of inhaling over 4,000 chemicals were all the rage 40 years ago. Of those 4,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, around 69 of those same chemicals are known to cause cancer. Today, we’re better informed and more aware of the dangers and hazards associated with smoking. And whilst your local doctor might still have a crafty cigarette during his lunch break, you’d be hard pressed to find them willingly endorsing an expensive & addictive product, that ultimately kills you. Progress it seems, has been made.

A lady decided to do a “seductive” dance down the aisle to her own version of “Crazy B—-” by Buckcherry, and now it is being called the white trashiest wedding in history. (NSFW, btw.) We’ll tell you one thing — it really takes us back. It’s like flying home for a wedding all over again. This incredibly cringe-y wedding video might not include buckets of beer, people firing rifles to celebrate or a bunch of BBQ-sauce splattered folks line dancing to ‘Cottoneye Joe,’ but we bet that all happened later. Obviously the ever-classy internet has taken umbrage with the video, and began a barrage of insults aimed at the bride, who had this to say in response:

Wow, people are upset that Ben Affleck is going to be the next Batman. Like, really upset. It’s almost like this somehow simultaneously affects them personally (it doesn’t), and they have nothing else in their lives to worry about (we’re jealous). They may be upset about it, but at least some folks have a sense of humor about it. Here are some choice tweets on the subject.

There have been few dinners parties quite like it. It’s December 12 1972, the night at which Marie-Hélène de Rothschild held her famous Surrealist Ball at Ferrières. As you can probably guess by her surname, she was a member of the ultra-wealthy Rothschild banking family. Few made the guest-list but if you did, it was the ultimate seal of approval from Parisian high-society. The requirements for the evening were “Black tie, long dresses & Surrealists heads” nothing more, nothing less. In keeping with the theme, the invitation which she sent was actually written backwards – to read the invite you had to hold it up to a mirror. Now when money is no object, the only limit is ones imagination and it’s fair to say that Marie-Hélène certainly had plenty in supply. Firstly she insisted the iconic Château where the party was to be housed, be floodlight with sweeping amber lights, designed to create the illusion the building was on fire. Once instead, she made sure the entire staircase was filled with servants and footmen dressed as cats – all in various poses of sleep. And once you’d overcome that initial shock, guests were then forced to enter a hellish labyrinthine maze – where should you get lost, one of the “cats” would rescue you and whisk you away where you’d be formally greeted by Marie-Hélène herself. On this particular night, she was wearing a ginormous giant’s head that was crying tears of diamonds. Naturally.
