64-year-old artist Stan Herd transformed a field on the Eagan, Minnesota, Thomson Reuters campus into Van Gogh’s 1889 Painting “Olive Trees.” Herd’s first ‘earthwork’ was created in 1981; this latest project took six months, covers 1.2-acres, and involved weeks of mowing, digging, and planting. It was sponsored by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and can be seen from the air near the Minneapolis airport.

As of August 28th, you can now use a 3D printer to produce custom candy gummies in Berlin. The world’s first 3D candy printer, “Magic Candy Factory,” had been in development for over a year through German company Katjes Fassin’s UK subsidiary, and can print gummies in 3-10 minutes; competing machines take up to an hour. The machine uses fruit puree and vegetarian gels to produce 12 shapes in 10 colors and flavors, weighing between 15g and 20g.

I made these cakes for a local Patisserie Vienna Boutique – Cake Gallery in Larnaka, Cyprus. The Cakes are all made with Vienna Boutique’s famously know chocolate recipe covered in sugar paste then decorated with edible paints. Each cake painting takes approximately 6-10 hours depending on the size and design.
