This Is How Giraffes Sleep
19 may 2015 10:14
Take a good look at these giraffe nap pics, because you won't often catch a giraffe sleeping. In fact, despite being the tallest animal, giraffes have the shortest sleep requirements of any mammal, sleeping an average of just 30 minutes per day. And when they do sleep, usually it's just for a few minutes; until the 1950s, researchers believed that giraffes don't sleep at all. So while these sleeping beasts might not seem very impressive, you're witness something few...

Miniature LEGO Adventures That I Create In My Spare Time

I am a French photographer born in 1981, and I began my work by photographing extreme sports in urban areas. Influenced by geek culture, my artistic approach is now focused on small LEGO® characters. My work combines the techniques of photography, street art, model making and installations; in my created microcosms, I play with scale and material to alter perception.

My work examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world. My sculptural language is formed by surrounding landscapes and nature, and engages with themes of memories, identity, and place. Sculptures and installations consist of thousands of hand-crafted porcelain shards, a technique that yields a texture both delicate and severe.

20 Animals With Butterflies Look Like Disney In Real Life
18 may 2015 09:04
These surprising photos show masses of butterflies interacting with various animals. But why do they do it, especially with such risk to themselves? One answer is that butterflies typically swarm during migration, and these pictures capture such a moment. The other answer is that butterflies can't get all the minerals they need from flowers, making them attracted to things that are salty.

18 may 2015 10:21
I was looking for a special needs dog to adopt and found Daisy in the summer of 2011. She was born with a congenital deformity in her front legs and uses a wheelchair to assist her walk. After learning that disabled dogs have a difficult time finding a forever home and are usually the first ones to be listed to euthanize at the shelter, I was heartbroken.

15 may 2015 12:33
Baby wild animals like Dinozzo, a fox cub whose mother was killed in a road-side collision, often don’t stand much of a chance when their parents are taken away from them. Luckily for this three-week-old fox cub, he was handed over to a vet and then adopted by an animal-loving couple in Germany with a beautiful collie dog named Ziva, whose motherly instincts helped nurse him back to health.

Adorable Dragonflies Hiding In My Backyard
14 may 2015 13:40
This is the series of cute dragonflies I found in my backyard. I have been photographing them for several years. I know them by heart – their favorite places to be, what they like and how they fly. To capture the beauty and sweetness of these insects I used macro photography and natural surroundings. They usually spend their time on colorful flowers, which make photographs playful and more cheerful.

Sheep In Tuscan Fields In Italy
14 may 2015 13:24
This set is about sheep from Tuscan fields. These several pictures was taken during few trips to Italy, mainly on spring and summer. Herds of sheep are very popular in this area so I decided to make some pictures in good locations with them. It was quite hard sometimes because they moved not where I wanted and it’s not a good idea to come closer to negotiate with them. All of them are guarded by Tuscan dogs that are not always friendly with photographers :)

I Photograph Dogs Wearing Cones Of Shame
12 may 2015 11:14
When developing an idea for a portrait series it’s always nice have some sort of unifying theme that ties it all together. This project was all inspired from a text message from my dad showing their two dogs sitting in the backyard, in what looked liked “timeout”. Both had just gotten home from being at the vet and both had the cone of shame on and both looked absolutely miserable.
