TWo Years after He Killed BIn Laden: No Job, No Pension, No Recognition
12 feb 2013 17:00

He's the man who rolled into a bedroom in Abbottabad, Pakistan, raised his gun and shot Osama bin Laden three times in the forehead.

Nearly two years later, the SEAL Team Six member is a secret celebrity with nothing to show for the deed; no job, no pension, no recognition outside a small circle of colleagues.

What is this country coming to? When the man who whooped serious terrorist ass, risked his life and his family's wellbeing, and stopped the panicking of many American families is left with absolutely NOTHING in life, America must be doing SOMETHING wrong.

Well, I guess that's because the Armed forces are full of Republicans, but hey...

Lady Gaga did the Impossible and Upstagged Jagger at his own Concert!
11 feb 2013 18:26
While I love Lady Gaga, I often get irritated with her because her penchant for walking around with live ocelots on her head obscures the fact that she’s a mad talented vocalist. Ask most people if she can actually sing and they probably wouldn’t even know. But the Lady can wail. And she proved it at a Dec. 15 appearance with the Rolling Stones.

Rihanna + Chris Brown Remind Us They’re Back Together at the Grammys
11 feb 2013 17:53
We are never allowed to forget that Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together. Because they will perpetually remind us whether it’s not our business or not. It’s why Instagram was invented after all. Just four years after Brown beat RiRi’s face to an unrecognizable pulp on the eve of the 2009 Grammys, the couple was spotted canoodling at this year’s awards, with Brown throwing on his best “derp, that’s a camera” face for the photogs. We much prefer the photos where Brown is smiling and Rihanna looks dour, but deep in our hearts we know these were just poorly timed. Quiet, brain! Stop making us think logical things!

Recap on the Grammy's from last night.
11 feb 2013 17:37
Photographers were on hand to capture the antics of the 2013 Grammy attendees because booze plus celebrities equals fun. Or in this case, photos plus the appearance of Ellen DeGeneres equals fun. That’s not to say there wasn’t alcohol or schmoozing either. Because there was plenty of that too. Whether stars were pouring out the libations, yelling in each others faces, breast gazing (much better than stargazing) or just making new friends, there was no shortage of good cheer at the Grammy awards. Screw you, dress code!

Justin Timberlake Brought Sexy Back. Again
11 feb 2013 17:18
In case you missed it last night, Justin Timberlake performed at the Grammys and that fool brought sexy back all over again. We’ve missed it. It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years since JT released his last album, ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds,’ but here we are. Timberlake hasn’t been entirely absent — he’s also acted in movies like ‘Friends with Benefits,’ popped up on ‘Saturday Night Live’ from time to time, and he married longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel (sorry, ladies – we’ll get through this together). And as much as we love seeing him act, we’ve missed Justin Timberlake the pop star, the guy who brought sexy back and then some. Last night at the 2013 Grammy awards, Timberlake took a public stage for the first time in years to perform his new single ‘Suit & Tie’ with Jay-Z, followed by an even newer single called ‘Pusher Love Girl.’

Yes, Ladies, David Beckham Lied to You!
11 feb 2013 17:00

Remember that super sexy ad of David BEckham in his underwear for H&M? What about the new 90 second commercial directed by Maddona's ex, Guy Ritchie? Well, apparently good old David isn't the good old David we thought he was.

37 year old Beckham loses his tattoos in some shots, grows a few inches (taller), and hides his face in most of the action shots from the commercial.

Sad but true, most of those "sexy Hollywood bodies," aren't really that sexy after all.

A Mechanical Prosthetic Hand That Can Be 3D Printed at Home
09 feb 2013 18:41

Robohand is a mechanical prosthetic hand that can be 3D printed at home from designs that are freely available on Thingiverse. The prosthetic is a collaboration between Richard Van As, a South African craftsman who lost four fingers in a work accident, and Ivan Owen, a Washington-based artist who makes mechanical hand sculptures. The duo collaborated over the Internet, meeting in person just once during the development process. The first Robohand was delivered to Liam, a five year old South African with no fingers on his right hand, and as this video shows, it works rather well. For more on the story, see this Ars Technica article and coming up short handed, the official blog for the project.

She was discharged from the hospital of Birmingham, England yesterday after undergoing multiple surgeries to put her skull together and restore her hearing. The best friend and business partner of a budding fashionista who jumped to her death from a New York bridge on what was supposed to be her 22nd birthday posted a Facebook rant allegedly targeting the young woman just hours before the suicide. Ashley Anne Riggitano leapt from George Washington Bridge at 4.40pm yesterday into the Hudson River. It is believed that earlier in the day, Victoria Van Thunen, who co-owned the jewelry line Missfits with Riggitano, wrote on her Facebook page: ‘Those who incessantly blame others as the cause of their issues should perhaps take a step back and reevaluate these situations. The common thread may be that “they” aren’t the problem, but rather that YOU are.’
