As the saga of Miley Cyrus’ strange obsession with twerking and becoming a hip hop star continues into what feels like its 100th year, not a lot of people have been asking perhaps the most important and interesting question: What does Billy Ray Cyrus think of all of this? According to Miley, dad couldn’t be happier and told her that he loved the whole foam finger, simulated doggystyle sex performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs last month, but that’s like me saying that my parents are proud of me for being a blogger. Singer Lionel Richie has a feeling that he knows what Billy Ray is going through, because his own daughter, Nicole Richie, was once a wild reality TV starlet and also a drug addict, but she has gone on to become a fashion icon and role model to all of the girls that she and Paris Hilton brainwashed for years. With that, Lionel offered Billy Ray a little advice.

AMC’s neon shirt budget just skyrocketed, ’cause the Saul Goodman Breaking Bad spinoff is ON. After several weeks of negotiations, the basic cable network has inked a licensing agreement with Sony for the series’ next iteration. “As conceived, the new series is based on the show’s popular Saul Goodman character with the working title Better Call Saul,” the studio and network confirmed in a joint statement, adding: “plans call for Saul to be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character [played by Bob Odenkirk] before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer.” The series will star Odenkirk, with writer/producer Peter Gould set to run the series as it was Gould who created the character back in season. Bad creator Vince Gilligan will remain involved, and noted in late July that it was his “fervent wish” that the spinoff would move forward. Had talks with AMC fallen through, there were several other distributors, including Netflix, that were set to pounce with rich offers. Like Bad, the series will be produced by Sony, where Gilligan spent several years under an overall deal. The showrunner has not yet re-upped, and has fast become the most in-demand showrunner in town. The news comes as Bad is set to ends its run in less than a month. It’s hard to go a whole week without a little ‘Duck Dynasty‘ action, so we put together these GIFs for a quick pick-me-up. You know, because you don’t want to go into a YouTube video spiral, but also you’re jonesing pretty hard for ‘Duck Dynasty,’ A&E’s colossal hit show about the colorful Robertson family. We know parents love their kids. They want what’s best for them. But sometimes, mom and dad can be super annoying, and munchkins have no problem letting ‘em know. Of course all the cuddling and smooching is cute and all, but there comes a point where enough is enough. Feeding kiddos gross food or even playing tricks on them is also grounds for mega irritation. Remember back in July when a guy won a Cambodian MMA fight with the Chris Jericho’s Walls Of Jericho? Bruno Mars has been offered a much coveted opportunity to perform during the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and considering Beyonce‘s performance last year blacked out the entire stadium and reunited Destiny’s Child, he has some big shoes to fill. The NFL announced the news yesterday (September 8) on the show ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ just before the kick-off and teased that Mars would be making regular appearances throughout the football season to tell fans what he has in store. (Basically, it’s a giant ploy to get people who don’t watch football to watch football. Yeah, good luck with that.) “The Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year,” the NFL announced in a statistic-filled statement. “More than 110.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.” The 2014 Super Bowl game will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on February 2. Make sure to tune in for the halftime show, the commercials, the food and alcohol with family and friends and, least importantly, the football.

Good news world! You can officially stop talking about Miley Cyrus‘ VMAs performance and commence your chatter about her new music video ‘Wrecking Ball,’ which, as far as we can tell, is a how-to guide for getting a yeast infection. No, really. The teaser picture for the new single off ‘Bangerz’ was plenty of indication of what was to come as Cyrus did in fact ride a wrecking ball throughout the video, stuck to her all-white outfit scheme and lacked both pants and a bra the entire time. In the emotionally charged video, Cyrus cries, makes out with various instruments of destruction and even takes all her clothes off to writhe around on top of a giant wrecking ball. Which can’t be sanitary because that room is full of dust particles. Unless that’s a metaphor too.

She’s back! Former ‘SNL’ head writer, ‘Weekend Update’ hostess and Sarah Palin mimic extraordinaire Tina Fey will be back on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ if only for a night. Fey is slated to host the show’s season premiere on Sept. 28 with musical guests Arcade Fire. E! Online reports that following Fey’s triumphant return is none other than Miley Cyrus, who will turn in double duty as both host and musical guest on Oct. 5. Other guests on the long-running series include Bruce Willis as host with musical guest Katy Perry, as well as a rumored double-duty performance and hosting by none other than Lady Gaga. Considering how well Gaga’s video short with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake, ‘Three-Way,’ went, we bet the New York City native will get all the ‘Applause’ she deserves.

Did you ever watch the gang on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and think “what’s wrong with these people?” Well, according to these toxicology reports, there is plenty going on inside their bodies to explain why they act the way they do. For example, Sweet Dee is made up of mostly margarita mix. Charlie is a mix of sixteen different toxins in his system, including spray paint and bleach. Mexican ephedra is floating around inside Mac and most of the gang is on crack. Fascinating stuff. Optical illusions are notoriously a lot of fun. You might be staring at an object, move an inch to the left and witness a whole new dimension or you might glance at something in the distance only for your mind to play tricks on you. It’s one of the few forms of art that is truly interactive and personalised, we all have the capacity to perceive the world around completely separately from each other and optical illusions are a great example of that process. The Science Gallery in Dublin, Ireland is currently hosting a new exhibition dedicated to the art of deception. It’s called Illusion and includes breath-taking artworks by artists Matt Kenyon, Gregory Barsamian Roseline de Thelin & Jonty Hurwitz - all of whom were researched by a chap called Paul Gleeson who is in fact an escapologist & magician! It takes one to know one as they say. Together the artists have created a world of shifting perspectives, sensory deception and dreamlike visuals designed to excite, confuse and above all – surprise. Here’s a few examples from the exhibition for you to enjoy.

In a unnerving 6 minutes, you’ll be faced with the shocking reality of overconsumption and its affect on the world as whole. The footage is taken from the awe-inspiring Samsara movie, in this particular sequence our over zealous and greedy need for food whenever we feel like it has outpaced the capacity of the world’s ecosystem. Industry has had to step in to supply demand and it’s here the any sense of comfort, kindness and relief are cast aside in the name of demand, profit and producing as much food as possible. Regardless of the physical effects on the animals themselves or indeed those of the workers who are forced to work long hours in bleak slaughterhouses. It’s purely a numbers game, powered by giant manufacturing plants all supplying millions of supermarket aisles around the world. It’s an eye-opening and often disturbing look at the entire process of where your food comes from so viewer discretion is advised. Next time you’re after a snack and find yourself walking into to McDonald’s, have a think about the system you’re contributing to.

I randomly came across this punk rock music video over the weekend for a song called Giant. Robot. Babies., and it made me laugh, so I had to share it. The music video and song was created by YouTuber nice peter. I'm confident that this will entertain you, and that you'll be singing "Giant. Robot. Babies!" for the rest of the day. The song is still stuck in my head! Also, this needs to be a new show on Cartoon Network!

Yo VIP, I got a video for you. Here's a short that required way too much effort for such a ridiculous, but incredibly awesome, idea. I'm not the biggest fan of Vanilla Ice, but I can appreciate the amount of time it took to throw these clips from film and television together to rap "Ice Ice Baby." There are way too many to count, but at a glance you'll see House of Cards, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, The Big Lebowski, Batman & Robin, Terminator, TMNT, and Trailer Park Boys for starters. During Edgar Wright's panel for The World's End at Comic-Con last month, the director showed off a really cool video created by Mike Relm called The Cornetto Megamix, and it features the audio and video from the three films that Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost have worked on together over the years: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End (collectively dubbed the "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy"). Wright posted the video on his blog and said that it "might be my favourite re-edit of any of my work."

I know this isn't really movie related, but there are a bunch of Yo-Yo geeks in the world, so I thought, "what the hell, I'm going to post this." It's a video featuring 2013 Yo-Yo World Champion Janos Karancz destroying his competition at the World Championship. The stuff this guy pulls off is unbelievable, and I guarantee it is going to blow your mind in ways you never thought possible! I've also included a slow-motion edit to see what he's actually doing with this Yo-yo. Enjoy!

The Formula One racing film Rush looks pretty freakin' radical. I like everything I've seen from the movie so far. It looks like there's going to be a lot of intense Formula One racing action, but here's a new clip from the film that gives us a look at more of the dramatic side of things. It features the first meeting between race car driver James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and beautiful model Suzy Miller (Olivia Wilde), who goes on to become his wife. Check out the clip!

Alright I made up that name, and the singing is not the best by any means. The lyrics, though, and the cosplay? It's all so fantastic! Here's a deleted scene from one of my favorite episodes of The Walking Dead season 3. The Episode is called "Clear," and this scene is a extended version of Morgan's powerful tirade to Rick. It's one of those non-zombie killing scenes that proves how amazing this series really is. This episode was written by Scott Gimple, who is the new showrunner on the series. Check out the extended scene!

Exocoetidae, commonly called Flying Fish, is a family of fishes aptly named for their ability to emerge out of the water and glide for long distances with their outstretched pectoral fins. Their streamlined torpedo shape helps them gather enough underwater speed to break the surface, and their large, wing-like fins get them airborne. Once in the air, these fishes can glide over considerable distances. Their flights are typically around 50 meters, but some fishes have been recorded to fly up to 200 meters or more. Some species of flying fish have enlarged pelvic fins as well as enlarged pectoral fins, which allows them to fly further than two winged gliders (up to 400 meters), and have far greater maneuverability. These fishes are known as four-winged flying fish.

This is a triumph. I’m making a note here: Huge Success. This is Enayla‘s homemade GLaDOS costume. Check out the interview video and more pictures below. The GlaDOS cosplay works while walking around and while hanging from some PVC pipes (as one does). She also says she had an iPod with some Portal quotes and music hooked to speakers on the back of the frame. Normally I don’t like costumes that take up a lot of space, but I’ll make an exception for getting to meet GLaDOS in real life and still be alive.

Des Taylor (known as DESPOP) has created some wonderful art. The team of Wonder Woman and Captain America is among my favorites, and that is perfectly encapsulated by the recent commission piece he did featuring the two of them, which you can find featured in the slideshow below. The art itself is fantastic, but above that, I personally believe that Steve and Diana would make a much better fit than she and Clark do. As tempting as it is to make this post nothing but a rant on that particular subject, I will resist and instead focus on Despop's lovely art style. Unless, of course, you’re ScarJo’s future husband Romain Dauriac, in which case: hi, I hate you. Anyway, according to every celebrity website ever, Dauriac, a French journalist who looks comically small in this photo, recently put a ring on it, “it” being Scarlett Johansson’s finger, “Scarlett Johansson” being not my future wife. People spoke to an anonymous source who revealed, “I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven’t chosen a date for the wedding.” (At least we know the informant isn’t Ryan Reynolds.) In related news, here is an important collection of important Scarlett Johansson GIFs, which is the best we normal people are going to get for now, except for Dauriac, who gets to spend the rest of his life with a living GIF.

People are comparing Miley Cyrus‘ appearance at the VMAs last night to a lot of things — an uncooked chicken, an old Jim Carey character, naked Hank Hill, etc. But nobody is comparing her to what she really looked like — a giraffe with its tongue sticking out. After telling mom and anybody else who would listen, we decided to make MORE proof! Here are some pictures where we’ve replaced Miley’s head with the head of a giraffe. You can barely tell the difference.
