Sacred, it is this place at the end of a path which not long ago I have walked: forested, the road rises from the foot of a small Italian city and ends at the top of a hill, where you will find an imposing monastery rich in art and history, engulfed by an oak forest, a place hard to find for vandals. Perhaps that’s why the interior of the church has been preserved so well.

An archaeologist has warned that Easter Island is under threat from selfie-loving tourists who trample over sacred ground and monuments just so they can take photographs of themselves picking the noses of its ancient stone statues.

In July, Italian artist Massimo Listri released a book of photographs that featured the most beautiful libraries from around the world. For those lucky enough to visit these design marvels, spending a whole day at the library doesn't sound so bad!

Two years ago, I went to Japan to photograph derelict buildings around the country. From love hotels to theme parks or decayed houses, I explored another part of this incredible country. I could tell so many stories that lie behind these images, but I prefer to let your imagination do the work. Here are the most particular places I had the chance to photograph.

I went to Bangkok for one reason. To eat at Jai Fai. She has been featured on various TV shows and YouTube channels. I think why it was so important to me to go was because she seemed to have retained her street food simplicity. She is one of only two Michelin star recipients that sell street food in Thailand. She doesn’t care for it much and doesn’t even display it in her restaurant. However, the food is that good. She deserves that star.

There is a mystical quality about snow and ice, which is perhaps is what makes Iceland such a captivating location. New York City based photographer and filmmaker Drew Doggett, managed to capture a sliver of this magic in his new photo series ‘In the Realm of Legends,’ documenting the wild horses that rove the island.

A few weeks ago I shot all of these photos during this magical morning; a morning I will never forget. On this particular morning thick fog covered the area of the famous windmill village Zaanse Schans in the Netherlands. I was lucky to be there around 5 AM in the morning and take these photos. It was like I was walking in a fairytale.

I absolutely adore traveling. It's one of my ultimate favorite things, but sometimes the airport can be the worst experience ever and can really put a damper on your trip. But, that's where I come in! These hacks are things that even the most avid of travelers had no idea about!

Rewind to the 1920′s when film and photography were still in their infancy, where artists were still grappling with the limitations of the technology itself and it’s here you’ll find the interesting tale of a photographer named J. Dearden Holmes. One of his clients whom he produced photographic work for was called Cavenders Ltd. Their primary business was selling cigarettes and to make them all the more enticing, they would include stereoscopic cards within each packet. Two images slightly offset, one for your right eye, one for your left eye, that when combined would create the illusion of 3D depth. Holmes was commissioned to shoot a series titled ‘Peeps Into Many lands, A Series of Real Photographs’ long-winded yes, but for its time – his stereoscopic photographs were a close as you could get to actually setting foot in those distant lands. His photography journey took him all over the world, including Egypt, London, Canada, Delhi where he photographed the likes of The Sphinx, London’s Zoo, Kutb Minar and even the Rocky Mountains, before converting them into stereoscopic packs. Today those images have been converted into the trust animated GIF to give you the same effect he created all those years ago.

Hot-Dog Legs is a Tumblr blog featuring photos of people showing off their legs, but they occasionally switch it up by replacing the legs with hot dogs. The blog will have you continuously asking yourself, “Are they hot dogs or legs?”

The world's worst ever nuclear disaster took place at Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Pripyat, Ukraine back in 1986, and its effects are still being felt today. Far from becoming the barren wasteland that many predicted after the catastrophic event the area has, in the absence of humans, become host to a great biodiversity. It really shows the power of nature to recover when left alone without us around to get in the way of things!

Breathtaking images from a skilled photographer show that even one day in Japan’s former capitals is enough for unforgettable beauty. Japanese photographer Naohiro Yako went on a dangan tour of Kyoto and Nara, Japan’s former capitals which are halfway across the country from his current home in Tokyo. In total, he only spent 20 hours in the cities before he had to leave, but that was still enough time to take these jaw-dropping photos.
