Everybody can be an everyday superhero, no matter their profession. The perfect example that illustrates that this adage is practical, not just theoretical, is Brazilian dentist Felipe Rossi. He founded the NGO Por1sorriso and travels the world, bringing back smiles to some of the poorest people on the planet. He and his colleagues fix low-income individuals’ teeth for free.

Even if you don't believe in fate sometimes events occur that are so coincidental that they don't seem to have any other possible explanation. From doppelgängers meeting each other to identical cars parking next to each other, sometimes the cosmic universe aligns and the least we can do is take a photo and share it with the internet.

Bathhouse, hamami, jjimjilbang, banya — no matter the term, the art of public bathing has been around for thousands of years across the globe. In some cultures, it represents the importance of taking time to rest and relax — in others it's seen as a chance to socialize and build community. Above all, the goal is to come away feeling centered in mind and body. Here's how public bathing looks in nine different countries around the world:

What comes to mind when you think of a dystopian universe? is it Dali-esque surrealist landscapes or is it a more realistic world like 'The Handmaidens Tale.' For real-life examples of this theory look no further than the sub-Reddit titled 'A Boring Dystopia,' which is dedicated to sharing images that are disturbingly unassuming.

A few weeks ago I shot all of these photos during this magical morning; a morning I will never forget. On this particular morning thick fog covered the area of the famous windmill village Zaanse Schans in the Netherlands. I was lucky to be there around 5 AM in the morning and take these photos. It was like I was walking in a fairytale.

Anna Rosling Rönnlund has spent the last 15 years making global public data easier to understand and use. Trying to come up with an idea that would connect with people better than colorful charts, she started Dollar Street. The initiative had a team of photographers documenting over 264 homes in 50 countries. In each home, the photographer spent a day taking pictures of up to 135 objects, like the family’s shoes, toothbrushes, or… children’s toys.

I've spent 2 years to create this project called "Tiny Wasteland". The series features miniature figures placed next to everyday objects so as to create the illusion of microscopic worlds. As a food photographer, I mostly make these on food or with food.

Ever heard of an aardwolf? If the answer is no then prepare yourself for the cutest animal you never even knew existed. It comes from the same family as the hyena, which explains why they look so similar, but unlike their bone-chomping cousins, aardwolves prefer to munch on termites, much like an aardvark (the word “aard” actually comes from the Dutch word “aarde” by the way, which means earth).

It is interesting to look, how people that lived more than hundred years ago imagined the times we now live in. I have compiled a collection of postcards created by artists in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century on the subject of the Millennium. Many things depicted on them seem to be funny, but some ideas became a reality.

Though President Trump is currently working from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the action continues back in Washington. A 10-foot-tall inflatable chicken that bears a striking resemblance to The Donald, golden hair and all, has just perched itself behind the White House, and it’s not just there for laughs.

On May 15th, mother of four Chrissy Corbitt gave birth to her daughter Carleigh, who ended up to be quite a big of a bundle of joy. Literally. “When the doctor was pulling her out of me I just start hearing them all laughing and excited in the operating room,” Chrissy told ABC News. “They were throwing out numbers and when they showed her to me and said 13.5 (6Kg), I couldn’t believe it. It looked like they pulled a toddler out of my belly. She’s so big.”

This has been a huge year for finding specimens in amber, from bird wings to dinosaur feathers. But this new finding might be the best one yet: a nearly complete 99-million-year-old baby bird. Scientists found the specimen in Myanmar, where others have purchased or found plenty of other incredible amber samples in the amber mines. But this one is crazy: an almost complete baby bird that lived during the time of the dinosaurs.

It's no secret that our society has its flaws - dependence on technology, taxes, obesity, devaluation of workers - to name a few. Some people may not even want to think about any these problems but illustrator John Holocraft, on the other hand, he looks them straight in the eye and depicts them in a satirical way.
