Here are a couple of great concept designs from artist Danny Mora that feature Michelangelo and Leonardo brandishing more traditional ninja weapons and armor. We have yet to see what the Turtles will look like in Jonathan Liebesman's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. If they look like something along these lines, I will be very pleased. I think armor and clothing would give some nice weight to the CG characters. I'd much rather see some progressively scuffed up clothing than pristine turtle skin the entire movie. Particularly in the Michelangelo design, you can also see that there's this romantic quality the flowing fabric adds to the piece -- much like Batman's cape in the comics and the Nolan films. Not long ago, Mark Wahlberg said that he would be interested in taking over Iron Man when Robert Downey Jr. is done with it. Official Comedy created this funny short that gives us a look at what Iron Man might be like if it was set in Boston and starred Wahlberg. The guy they got to play the actor may not really look like him, but he's definitely got the vocal impression down. The short features Tony Stark battling The Mandarin and Obadiah Stane while trying to save Pepper and Fenway Park. It's pretty entertaining, and I hope you enjoy it!
Ever wish that you could take your Science Nerdyness to the next level? Well these people have by taking their favorite science interest and tattooing it on them. Tattoo a practice dated 5,200-years-ago, was originally applied by a sharp stick and ink, now has become $2.3 billion annual business in the U.S. To give a perspective of how common tattoos are, National Geographic stated, 15% of Americans were tattooed translating to approximately 40 million people, published in April 2000. Carl Zimmerl, a well established published science writer and blogger asked his geeky internet audience to share their science tattoos, to publish Science Ink. Below are some of his collection.
