According to multiple sources, "A massive storm system raked the Southeast on Wednesday, generating tornadoes and dangerous winds that flipped cars on a major Georgia interstate, demolished homes and businesses and killed at least two people."

These are still better numbers than those of the passed 50 years in tornadoes. Though the storm came with hardly any warning, it was apparently enough for folks to get the point that they need to flee.

This guy really had it down to a science:

Step 1 - Hack into a woman's Facebook, Skype and email accounts.

Step 2 - Change the passwords and lock the victim out of their own accounts. Search emails or other files for naked or semi-naked photos of the victim.

Step 3 - Pose as a friend or lover using personal details from their Facebook profile to persuade them to strip while he watched them on Skype, then capture more images of them.

Step 4 - Blackmail them with the nude photos he had obtained during the Skype chats and force them to send him more nude photos as payment for his silence.

Karen 'Gary' Kazaryan is indicted with 15 counts of computer intrusion and 15 counts of aggravated identity theft for stealing women's nude photos and blackmailing them for more.

Kazaryan was arrested in 2008 for rape, but the case was dropped for lack of evidence. He now faces up to 105 years in prison if he's convicted on all counts related to his "sextortion" scam.

BlackBerry has been struggling to compete in the smartphone race, and has recently announced Alicia Keys as their Global Creative Director, as well as changed the company name from RIM to BlackBerry. Sure things are interesting with her in the picture, and I guess they feel a little cooler, however with the iPhone and Android moving so fast, I wouldn't rely too much on Keys.

Ex-presidential nominee, John Kerry has been voted to take office as the new Secretary of State by a whole 95% of the Senate! That's 94-3 for the 28 year Senate veteran. 

Seems like ex-presidential nominees are a pretty popular choice for secretary of state! 

According to ABCnews, "Voting against Kerry’s nomination were Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., and Texas Republican Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz."

Apple is launching an updated version of the iPad, which will have a much larger storage capacity and a Retina display that will increase it's resolution. The new iPad will have 128 (GB) of storage capacity, which is twice of the existing one. Both the Wi-Fi version, which will cost $799 and the Cellular version for $929, will be available in Apple's retail stores this February.

How is it possible to not have noticed WORLD WAR II?! You would have had to be in Russia with this family, living off the land and the sky.

After so many cool Androids, and obviously the iPhone came out with apps and other awesome features for organizing your time, calling/texting for free, taking pictures on Instagram and other wonderful things, Blackberry has not advanced at all! What is the point of this phone anymore? Only people stuck in the year 2005 could possibly still think this phone is cool. BUT WAIT! There's a new Blackberry! And wow, big surprise, it looks exactly like an iPhone. Doesn't that just tell you something about the world famous phone? ;)

There was some bug in the system causing tickets not to be purchaseable, but the problem has now been resolved!

The Pentagon has announced that 20,000 US Marines are planned to be cut from the pay. Does that mean that these 20,000 Marines will be applying for unemployment? The change is due to Defense department-wide budget cuts. This will reduce their number to 182,000, a much smaller number than what was being advocated for in the passed few years. 

The good news it that we can be secure about peacetime staying for a few more years :)

President Obama and Syria have had such a turbulent relationship lately.

In other news, our economically concerned leader has made quite a donation to the land of dismay; a promise for $155 Million in aid more than what he has already given them. 

What for, Mr. President? Those people will keep on fighting until they figure out their own problems! What ever happened to the "mind your own business thing?"

Just when we were beginning to think Ashley Judd had done the right thing in marrying Dario Francitti, we've been proved wrong again!

After just 11 years (still longer than the everage American celeb couple, so I guess they actually did pretty well), the stay couple is calling it quits. 

In an official statement Judd said, "We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the couple said in a joint statement. "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."

At least there was so huge battle, I guess.

Over the years, Hulk Hogan and his daughter Brooke have made many cringe with their just-a-little-too-close relationship. Arrested in September of last year by Iranian officials, Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, has been in Evin Prison in Tehran for over 4 months now! Best part? His sentence is for "attempting to convert Islamic youth to Christianity in 2000." This kind of crime can cost you  a life long term in prison and even death! What's next for our fellow American, nobody can know for sure.

The possibility on a reform on immigration is giving immigrants in the US have a new ray of hope. 

CNN reports, "Millions of undocumented immigrants would get immediate but provisional status to live and work in America under a compromise plan proposed Monday by a bipartisan group of eight senators. While temporarily removing legal uncertainty for the nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants, the senators' outline also called for strengthening border controls, improved monitoring of visitors and cracking down on hiring undocumented workers."

"They would no longer be deported, provided they don't have a criminal record. They would no longer be harassed, they would be allowed to stay here and work," said Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York in describing the immediate impact of the framework if crafted into legislation and enacted.

The Netherlands have a new queen! 75 year old Queen Beatrix has ended her 33 year long reign as mistress of the northers giant, giving way to new young Argentinian beauty, Maxima. The new king and Maxima were wed in 2002, and have been training for the day Willem would become king. They're off to a good start, it seems, as the people of the Netherlands are completely enthralled by the ordeal.

First Ms. Foster and now Dick Van Dyke get a boost into the lifetime award category. Now that's one really awesome IMDB profile!

The dancer/actor/singer truly did deserve the award, with his amazing history and talents. The 87 year old is best known for his hit 1960's TV show, "The Dick Van Dyke Show." (By the way, isn't his name kind of an oxymoron?!)

This thrill-seeking surfer was but a speck on this enormous wall of water as he appeared to set a new world record for the biggest wave ever ridden. Surfing legend Garrett McNamara caught the towering wave - believed to have measured around 100ft - off the coast of Nazare, in Portugal, yesterday. If the claims are verified the U.S. born athlete will have successfully beaten his own record, which was also set at Nazare, when he successfully rode a 78ft high break at the end of 2011.
