Last summer he smashed his way through the superhero flick ‘The Avengers‘ as iconic giant green hero the Hulk, but we’ve been crushing on Mark Ruffalo for a lot longer than that. Mark Ruffalo first gained some attention in the late ’90s, with roles in ‘Ride with the Devil’ (you know, the movie that starred Jewel) and ‘You Can Count on Me.’ But the early ’00s are when his career really took off, and you’ve undoubtedly seen — and swooned over — him in a ton of stuff, like the airplane comedy ‘View from the Top,’ or the trippy romantic drama ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.’ He even wooed Jennifer Garner in ’13 Going on 30′ and Jennifer Aniston in ‘Rumor Has It.’ Last year, Ruffalo became a big screen superhero in ‘The Avengers,’ in which he played mild-mannered Dr. Bruce Banner. When Banner loses his temper, though, he becomes the Hulk — a giant, green-skinned, muscle-bound monster who kicks some serious butt. Basically, what most of us are like in the morning. You can catch Ruffalo in theaters right now in the magician heist flick ‘Now You See Me.’

Good news, everyone. In the coming zombie apocalypse, Brad Pitt – the Brad Pitt! — will save us all. We couldn’t think of a better (or sexier) man for the job. This weekend, Brad Pitt graces us with his presence on the big screen in the zombie apocalypse movie ‘World War Z,’ in which he plays a journalist who travels to different countries to try and figure out where this zombie plague started. And he has scarves! Plus he has that hair and those aviator sunglasses, which just says, “I’m a laid-back dude who likes to go around the world, helping people in need, but I could also kick someone’s ass in a moment of crisis if I have to.” (Brad Pitt is the master of that look.) And in real life, this swoonworthy actor is even more swoon-over-able, as he’s helped people in post-Katrina New Orleans rebuild and offered them new houses. Not to mention all the work he does with his lady love, the incredible and impossibly charitable Angelina Jolie, with whom he’s traveled to many countries to visit those in need. The pair have used their power as celebrities to speak out about real humanitarian issues in this world, and they’ve famously adopted a few kiddos from Ethiopa, Vietnam, and Cambodia along the way.

Long-running NBC sitcom ‘The Office‘ may be over, but our love of star John Krasinski and his adorably aloof good looks will never end. After nine incredible seasons, ‘The Office’ finally came to an end this year. We were sad to say goodbye to so many of our favorite characters, but we were absolutely beside ourselves to let go of star John Krasinski, who played the adorable and goofy Jim Halpert for the entire run of the show. As Jim, Krasinski gave us his signature shrug and silly faces, and we watched him grow from aimless office prankster to full-fledged man (who still occasionally liked to pull one over on Dwight). Every Sunday night on AMC, Joel Kinnaman‘s Detective Holder tries to solve and prevent heinous crimes on ‘The Killing.’ If only all detectives were this fun to look at. Actor Joel Kinnaman hails from Sweden, where he starred in films like ‘Snabba Cash’ before making his way to the US and becoming a mainstay with his role on the AMC serial drama ‘The Killing.’ On that show, he plays a laid-back guy with a little street cred thanks to his days of being a troublemaker. And this season, he gets to use that experience to connect with homeless teens — and hopefully save a girl’s life before it’s too late. You might have also seen this scruffy actor (minus the scruff) in last year’s ‘Lola Versus,’ in which he played Greta Gerwig‘s fiance, who dumps her right before their big wedding. Surprisingly, he’s really not a jerk in the movie, and he takes off his shirt sometimes — bonus. Next up for Kinnaman is a role in the ‘RoboCop‘ reboot, in which he plays a robot cop who delivers some serious justice to a corrupt town. In real life, Kinnaman is dating actress Olivia Munn, which is just about the opposite of justice, if you think about it. (Life is so unfair.)

Once upon a time, there was a sexy, pouty model named Douglas Booth. One day, this charming young man decided to become an actor, and now he’s going to be playing Romeo in the new ‘Romeo and Juliet’ movie. And we lived swoon-ily ever after! British model and actor Booth’s father is English and his mother is of Dutch and Spanish descent, which might explain his beautiful and sort of exotic looks. Dude’s all sexy angles — it’s like looking at a really hot geometry problem. Booth has done campaigns for Burberry, alongside fellow lovelies like Emma Watson. ‘True Blood‘ returned to HBO this week with a brand new season (its sixth), which means tons of brand-new shirtless Ryan Kwanten as the lovable dope Jason Stackhouse. Amen. What is it about ‘True Blood’? It’s this really trashy soapy vampire show about country folk in Louisiana dealing with supernatural people — and like, it’s just so hard to believe that SO much supernatural crap happens in this tiny Louisiana town. Werewolves, fairies, vampires, shape-shifters, witches, and what’s next? Leprechauns?! Come on. But I can’t stop watching this crazy show, even though most of the time I think it’s stupid. Maybe Ryan Kwanten is why I can’t stop watching this show. As Jason Stackhouse, brother to Sookie, we watch him run around shirtless or naked, just making really bad decisions about who he has sex with. And I am so okay with this. Jason thinks with his, uh — well he’s not thinking with his head, that’s for damn sure. But in the last two seasons we’ve seen a more confident and slightly less ignorant version of Jason emerge. Hopefully this doesn’t mean he has to stop taking his shirt off. America, meet your new Superman: his name is Henry Cavill, and he’s definitely a ‘Man of Steel.’ Prepare to swoon. ‘Man of Steel’ doesn’t hit theaters until next week, but we just couldn’t wait to let you guys lay eyes on this patriotic hunk. In the film, Henry Cavill plays Clark Kent/Superman, an orphaned alien from the planet of Krypton, sent to Earth and fostered by a lovely couple in the hopes that they can raise him to be a morally upright young man. He does more than that, though. Seems his alien genetics have made him a bit of a super-man. Or Superman, rather. Clark has skills! He can fly, he has incredible strength, and he can use those powers to save lives. But should he reveal himself to be different from other normal humans? Should he use his powers for good an intervene with fate? What if he’s using his powers to stop the evil of other men? All these questions and more will be answered when the film hits theaters next week. Do you know the name Aaron Tveit? No? Well you should. Get on the Aaron Tveit bandwagon now so you can be a total Tveit hipster when your friends eventually catch on. Chances are, you’ve probably seen Aaron in action — he had a recurring role on ‘Gossip Girl,’ where he starred in 10 episodes as Tripp Vanderbilt (holy crap that name), and he’s had small roles in films like ‘Ghost Town’ and ‘Howl’ with James Franco. Tveit got his start in the theater biz with parts in ‘Rent’ and ‘Hairspray’ before hitting it big by playing Leonardo DiCaprio’s role in the stage version of ‘Catch Me If You Can’ (oh we will, Aaron Tveit — we will). It was that seasoned theater experience that landed him a role in the Academy Award-nominated ‘Les Miserables’ last year as Enjolras (holy crap THAT name), a soldier and a damn fine showman. Now the up-and-coming actor has a new TV show to call his own this year: ‘Graceland,’ in which he stars as Mike Warren, one of several government agency workers forced to live in a California beach house together. So basically it’s like ‘The Real World,’ but if everyone worked for the DEA, the FBI, and U.S. Customs. You know those Customs fools will be the ones complaining about people stealing their wine coolers.

It only took most of the season, but we’re finally coming around to newcomer James Wolk, who plays Bob Benson on ‘Mad Men.’ Maybe it was those short-shorts he wore this week … I swear, this is the last ‘Mad Men’ post for a while, you guys — I just can’t help it! Have you seen the men on this show? Every season they just add more and more sexy men for us to swoon over. One of the newcomers to season six is James Wolk, an actor you might recognize from his work on the short-lived show ‘Lone Star,’ from his sexy recurring role on Showtime’s ‘Shameless’ as Adam, or maybe from a few episodes of ‘Happy Endings.’ Now you can catch him on ‘Mad Men’ (almost) every week as Bob Benson, the mysterious guy who works in accounts on the newly-opened second floor of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. He just sort of appeared in the premiere episode — no one knew who he was or had ever spoken to him. Maybe he’s an investigative journalist undercover to report on the secrets of advertising! Maybe he’s a ghost! Okay, he’s probably real and it’s just that no one ever noticed him before. (But what fun is that?) Wolk’s Bob Benson has been charming us hardcore with the way he seems to genuinely care about Joan, who’s not an easy lady to win over. If he’s good enough for Joan Holloway, he’s good enough for us. And? He’s amazingly cute.

We know it’s been total ‘Mad Men‘ madness around here lately, but can you blame us? The guys on that show are top notch hotties, and Aaron Staton (aka Ken Cosgrove) is no exception. Here’s what sets Aaron Staton apart on ‘Mad Men’: he’s just a bit more youthful and all-American looking than his older male counterparts. He’s not a hippie-type like Stan, and he’s not older like Don and Roger, and he’s not all petulant and miserable like Pete. He’s just a good dude trying to do his work and help the company flourish, and honestly, that boy does not get enough credit. Take last week’s episode, for example: Staton’s character, Ken Cosgrove, takes the clients from Chevy out for a night on the town, only to be practically tortured when they shoot a gun next to his ear at a shooting range, get wildly drunk, and then force him to wreck his car, leaving him with a bum foot. But at least he gave us a magical song and tap dance about it! (No, really — everyone was on drugs last week. It was sublime.) So while everyone is fussing over how sexy Don and Roger and Stan are, let’s take a moment to appreciate someone who’s a little less appreciated: Aaron Staton, we salute you!

2012 was a great year in sports. We had all sorts of moments that are going to stick in our memories for a long time. Some of these moments were great plays while others were instant classic games. There is also another category that we can't ignore. Some of the moments that happened in 2012 were just downright sexy. It sounds weird, but we have decided to bring you a list of the 15 sexiest sports moments that happened in 2012. I can tell you right away that not everyone will agree with this list. It is totally up to the beholder to determine what makes this list and what does not. Some of these moments involved the breakout of some new female athletes. These women burst onto the scene and did not let go of their new found fame. Nothing wrong with that. If you feel that we missed a moment, be sure to let us know in the comment section. I know that some people have different tastes, so they may feel like we skipped over something big. If that is the case, we just might have to create another one of these lists. Jay R. Ferguson from ‘Mad Men‘ (aka Stan Rizzo) just keeps getting cuter and cuter — what is it with that guy? Oh right, it’s that glorious beard. Something happened between season five of ‘Mad Men’ and season six — okay, a lot of things happened on that show between seasons, but what I’m thinking of specifically is Stan’s beard. Stan, played amazingly by actor Jay R. Ferguson, came back for season six in straight-up hippie creative mode with a full-on beard. And for whatever reason, it’s made his character better times a million. Anything he says or does now is so much more awesome because he’s doing it with that beard on his face. And gah, don’t you just want to cuddle up on it? So cute! Ferguson was particularly in top form in this week’s episode, in which a bunch of the guys at the ad agency get high on some sort of wacky stimulant and run around the office like crazy-pants fools. Also, did you know that Ferguson is a former teen idol? Like, he had photos in Bop and everything. Ferguson starred on the TV show version of ‘The Outsiders’ and in the series ‘Evening Shade.’ Chances are, you probably had a crush on him when you were younger. Go ahead and resume that crush right now.

Love it or hate it, we can all agree that ‘Glee’ is responsible for giving us at least one amazing gift: Darren Criss. Seriously, have you stopped to take a look at this guy? ‘Glee’ is a thing that still exists for some reason, and while your little sister or your mom or your closeted uncle still watch it, there’s just not much about that show that’s appealing (anymore, anyway). Except for Darren Criss. That show can keep on keeping on as long as they’ve got this dude around. On ‘Glee,’ Criss plays openly gay high school student and amazing singer Blaine — have you heard his cover of Katy Perry‘s ‘Teenage Dream’? It’s a real panty-dropper. (We mean that almost literally, because unlike his on-screen alter-ego, Darren plays for Team Hetero in real life.) Criss’ talents go all the way back to his childhood. He began playing violin at the age of five, and by the time he was 10 he was accepted into the American Conservatory Theater. He spent all of his formative years studying acting, singing, and other performing arts, making him a total pro. He’ll make his big screen debut this year with comedy goddess Kristen Wiig in ‘Girl Most Likely,’ in which he gets to have a very saucy affair with the former ‘SNL‘ star and one of our favorite imaginary BFFs. And aside from acting and singing and basically taking over the world, Criss is super into charity — he’s an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights, he’s a member of UNICEF, and he supports The Trevor Project. This guy really can do it all.

If you were watching ‘Game of Thrones’ this week, your eye was undoubtedly drawn to mysterious new hunk Daario Naharis, played by British actor Ed Skrein. Who is this guy?! Is there a secret cave in Britain where they keep sexy men like him and wait to spring him on us when we’re least expecting it? This week on ‘Game of Thrones,’ we were introduced to a trio of guys who lead an army known as the Second Sons. Of the three leading men, the most magnetic is Daario Naharis, a long-haired beauty who seems more well-mannered and noble than his two compatriots. Daario is sent to kill fierce Mother of Dragons Daenerys, but then he finds her in the bath tub (NAKED!) and he’s all, “Nah, I told those fools we need to help you, so we’re going to do that.” And he so clearly wants to be all over her body. And she so clearly wants that, too. It’s pretty sexy. Anyway, the actor who plays Daario Naharis is Ed Skrein, an artist, musician and rapper (yep, really) who only recently moved into acting. He’s got three credits on his resume prior to ‘Game of Thrones,’ including ‘The Sweeney’ and ‘Ill Manors.’ Check him out below.

We know you’re probably still recovering from Bill Hader‘s bittersweet farewell on ‘SNL‘ over the weekend, but this might help cheer you up: Hader gets goofy in the June issue of GQ, and it’s really cute. I know I’m going to miss Bill Hader on ‘SNL’ — I’m not going to lie, I cried during his final Stefon segment, and I know I’m not the only one. But I’m looking forward to whatever he does next, which is hopefully more movies and guest appearances on other TV shows. His spots on ‘The Mindy Project’ this season were great, for example, and if you haven’t checked him out in movies like ‘Adventureland’ and ‘Superbad,’ you should go ahead and do that. Hader is that special breed of guy that’s cuter because he’s so talented and funny. He’s quirky looking, for sure, but if you saw his stint on ‘The Mindy Project,’ you know he can totally play the part of dreamy guy (and then not-so-dreamy — opposite of dreamy, really — in that season finale). So while he’s gone from ‘SNL’ and will no longer fill our Saturday nights with joy, that doesn’t mean he can’t make our eyes happy with these adorable photos from his June GQ photo shoot.

Damn it, Jim, he’s a doctor, not a tasty morsel! Oh wait, he’s both. Karl Urban‘s Dr. Bones character from ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ makes us think we should probably get more check-ups. ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ hits theaters today (officially, but you could have seen it as early as Wednesday night), so we conclude our look at the sexy men of ‘Star Trek’ with star Karl Urban, who plays eccentric character Bones, the Starship Enterprise’s head doctor, and one of the big heroes of the film. You may also recognize Urban from his role in last year’s action flick ‘Dredd,’ in which he played the lead character and sadly spent the entire film with a giant helmet covering his beautiful head. He’s also starred in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies, and lots of other action stuff like ‘Red’ and ‘Riddick.’ He’s like a total geek girl centerfold guy, really. Urban hails from New Zealand and participates in the charity KidsCan, which supplies food and necessities to over 16,000 New Zealand children. So, to recap, he’s sexy, he’s obviously into sci-fi and fantasy, and he’s into helping children. Surely he cannot be real.

Meet Benedict Cumberbatch, the super sexy bad guy from ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ Benedict has a very important role in the film: Aside from being one of many pieces of eye candy in the sequel, he’s also the film’s main villain, a terrorist by the name of John Harrison. But he’s so much more than that, especially for fans of the older ‘Star Trek’ movies and the TV show. (You’ll see what I mean when the movie hits theaters this Friday. I don’t want to say much more for fear of spoiling you.) Cumberbatch is not only a really fun name to say, but a really fun guy to behold. The British actor has a distinct look, and if you’ve been checking out our Daily Swoon features for a while now, you’ll know that we’re suckers for guys with interesting faces. Models and athletes and muscle-bound actors can be great, sure, but man alive — there’s something about an actor who doesn’t quite fit the mold and is sexy for some not-so-obvious reasons. Anyway, Mr. Cumberbatch has been around for a while — you may have seen him in ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ or ‘Atonement,’ and he stars in the BBC miniseries ‘Sherlock’ as the legendary detective. Since ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ hits theaters this Friday, we only found it appropriate to take some time to admire all the cuteness this new movie has to offer, like British star Simon Pegg. Simon Pegg has been putting a smile on our faces for a long time — from his work with co-star Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright on films like ‘Shaun of the Dead,’ ‘Hot Fuzz’ and the upcoming ‘The World’s End,’ to a bevy of other movies including ‘How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,’ ‘Paul’ and, of course, ‘Star Trek.’ In ‘Star Trek Into Darkness,’ Pegg reprises his role of Scotty, the ship’s Scottish (duh) engineer and one of the film’s primary forms of comic relief. Scotty didn’t get a whole lot to do in the last movie, but this time around his adventures are much more action-packed and often pretty hilarious. He’s definitely our favorite spaceship engineer and drunkard. Pegg is one heck of a talented actor, and is able to pull off any number of things from charming to jerky, from love interest to action guy — you name it. If you’ve got Netflix, you should probably be checking out their new original series ‘Hemlock Grove,’ if for no other reason than to watch sexy young actor Bill Skarsgard. Guys, those Skarsgard boys have seriously good genes. Handsome dad Stellan has been acting for a very long time, and we all know how sexy Alexander Skarsgard is, especially when we get to see him (and his butt) every week on ‘True Blood.’ But did you know there is yet ANOTHER Skarsgard sibling and he’s also really hot? Meet Bill Skarsgard, a young Swedish actor who appears on the Netflix original series ‘Hemlock Grove,’ produced by director Eli Roth, who brought us such awesome horror movies as ‘Hostel’ and ‘Cabin Fever.’ Skarsgard plays the character of Roman Godfrey on the series, which follows the brutal murder of a teen girl and the hunt for her killer, but in the town of Hemlock Grove, everyone has a weird secret — some pretty supernatural ones, too. Like werewolves! Roman’s character is kinda unlikable at first, but reveals himself to be rather complex. He’s aristocratic and privileged, and has quite the sex life. British actor Daniel Craig is so hot that he makes James Bond movies seem like they aren’t just for guys anymore. 007? More like 00Swoon. I’m not sure when I realized Daniel Craig was hot — okay, I’m lying. It wasn’t because of James Bond (sorry, not sorry). It was during ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ remake, when he stands up off the bed after a steamy night with Rooney Mara’s character and his tight little black underoos reveal just a little bit of butt business. I think I gasped audibly enough to embarrass every woman in that theater. (Again, sorry, not sorry.) Anyway, Daniel Craig is sexy, and hopefully you’re not like me and it didn’t take you 10 years to figure out what everyone else knew. Craig plays James Bond, obviously, and has done so in the last few 007 films, and will probably continue to do so until his teeth rot out. And we’re all totally cool with that. Craig is also now married to the beautiful actress Rachel Weisz, making them one of the prettiest couples in the entire world, and I’m sure their very British convos go something like: “Oi! What a lovely morning, milady, fancy a cup of tea?” “Yes we are so very beautiful, gov’nah!” “Crumpets! We’re sexy!” “Let’s go fancy some things in a loo!” “Cheerio!” Obviously my British is limited to Monty Python. Now let’s all stare at Daniel Craig for a while!

Irish actor Cillian Murphy is gorgeous — like, he-could-be-a-model gorgeous. But the prettiest thing about him has to be those eyes. We just can’t help but get lost in them. You may recognize Cillian Murphy from, well, a lot of movies — in ’28 Days Later’ (where you see him completely naked, hello), he plays Jim, a guy trying to survive in the aftermath of a viral apocalypse. In the ‘Dark Knight’ films, he plays Jonathan Crane, aka the Scarecrow, a bad dude who uses hallucinogenic drugs when he plays doctor. And in ‘Inception,’ he plays the son of a billionaire and the key to destroying his father’s empire for the competition. Up next for Murphy is a starring role in ‘Interstellar,’ a sci-fi movie from the cinematographer who worked on Christopher Nolan‘s films with Murphy previously (‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy and ‘Inception,’ notably). I’m pretty stoked about it, and you should be too because this movie is going to blow some minds, for sure. Murphy is an incredible and fascinating actor, and one who, in my mind at least, doesn’t get enough attention or credit for his understated performances — or for his good looks, for that matter. He’s a gorgeous dude with intensely beautiful eyes. The kind of guy who could totally be a model if he wanted to, but let’s be glad he’s got more going for him than good looks.

There’s another ‘Iron Man’ movie coming out, which is as good a time as any to celebrate the immortal sexiness of Robert Downey Jr. ‘Iron Man 3‘ hits theaters next week, but I couldn’t wait another day to post some pics of RDJ, an actor who only seems to get sexier with age, like the fine scotch Tony Stark drinks in the movies. If you have an aversion to superhero films, let it go — they aren’t just for nerdy dudes! Free your minds, dear readers, and head to the theater next weekend, where I promise you will have a blast watching Robert Downey Jr. kick bad guy butt while delivering witty one-liners. What’s not to love about the guy? He had his bad boy phase, but he came out of it and was able to still be himself without having to do some nice guy reinvention. He’s still dark, he’s still sharp-tongued, and he still looks fantastic. RDJ recently posed for the May issue of GQ, and his pics are so coy and sexy, and just brimming with that clever attitude we’ve come to love from the smart-mouthed actor. Bill Murray is living proof that some guys only get cuter as they get older, and this veteran actor and comedy legend isn’t going to stop making us swoon anytime soon. Bill Murray has been making us laugh since the ’70s when he was an original cast member on ‘SNL,’ and continued to keep a smile on our faces all through the ’80s and ’90s with roles in movies like ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Stripes,’ and ‘Caddyshack.’ In the late ’90s, Murray took a turn for the more dramatic, and all through the ’00s we got to watch him give incredible performances in films like ‘Lost in Translation’ and pretty much every movie Wes Anderson ever made (‘Moonrise Kingdom‘ being the most recent). Something else happened in the late ’90s/early ’00s: Bill Murray got sexy. It was like as soon as he took on these more fascinating film roles, he became more attractive. Maybe it’s because you can tell there’s a lot of Bill Murray in the roles he chooses, and his roles are often guys who are older, more suave, and a little childlike in their playfulness. I don’t know what it is, but Bill Murray got older and suddenly became very sexy.
